YOSHIKI to donate piano for earthquake relief

YOSHIKI recently announced that he will be auctioning off his crystal piano and all the money will be donated to the earthquake relief.
The crystal piano will be the one in the photo below.
On the March 11st, 2011 the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake happened, and YOSHIKI conveyed his thoughts saying: “Thank you for your concern. Although there are some friends I can’t get in contact with, I’ve contacted all my family members. I intend to prolong the period of staying in Japan to support everyone. LOVE YOU….”
And YOSHIKI also decided to put the piano he used during the live at Tokyo Dome in May 2009, which carries the name logo “YOSHIKI” on it, up for auction and he will donate all the money to support organizations.

ギルド (GUILD) have announced that they’ll be releasing 「Spring EP 2011〜La Primavera〜」on April 20th!
It will come in 3 types – both limited types will cost 1500 yen, while the regular one 1000 yen.

Luna Sea press conference

Daisuke Flower Offering

On August 16th there will be a flower offering ceremony for the late Daisuke, who passed away earlier this month.
It’s sponsored by the studs and will take place at Zepp Tokyo between 14:30 and 21:00 with the last flower offerings being accepted at 20:30.
People will be able to go up sequentially in the order of arrival to place their flowers, and there will be stands to place donated flowers (arrangements). It’s asked that the people attending wear informal clothes, but everyone can go- admission is free.

MUCC’s new single for Anime Opening

MUCC’s new single 『約束』 (yakusoku), which will be released in June as Inka mentioned here, is going to be used as the opening theme for the Anime 『閃光のナイトレイド』 (senkou no NIGHT RAID).
It is said that 『約束』 “holds the views that MUCC has and the views that the Anime portrays which synchronize with each other, and along with the combination of strings [orchestra] it puts across a complex yet obvious message, and is a musical masterpiece.”
The Anime will be aired in April 2010, which gives us a chance to preview MUCC’s single before its release!

So as to not confuse you all, there’s actually two bands named Anima, haha.
One was actually introduced in an earlier post.
The Fukuoka trio band:

Then the other Anima would be the one I just introduced a post earlier. The main (yet slight) difference is that this first Anima is spelt with english letters while the Anima I mentioned spells their name with katakana (Japanese characters) like this: アニマ.

This is just to clear things up, as I don’t even think the bands know it themselves, haha.

the GazettE to appear at movie screening!

Well, this little piece of news got me pretty excited! I do wish I could go, even though I’m not much of an ‘action’ type movie lover myself.
the GazettE have supplied songs to film soundtracks twice in the past, but this July for the very first time they will be participating in an advance screening event!
The film is called “Hard Revenge, Millie~Bloody Battle”, and is said to be a good old fashioned ultra-violent, Japanese action film starring female action star Mizuno Miki.
Movie-goers will also be presented with limited edition “Hard Revenge…” x the GazettE memo pad as a gift for attending the film.
What kind of performance will they put on for theater goers? We can’t wait to find out!

Like an Edison recently uploaded a new promotion picture for Matenrou Opera’s upcoming single acedia. The picture has received rather differing opinions.
What do you, our readers, think?
Speaking of acedia, it’s only 2,5 weeks until the release, so make sure you pre-order your copy of the CD soon! For example CDJapan has it, but I’m sure pretty much all of the other shops that sell visual kei CDs also carry it, so it shouldn’t be hard to find it!
Remember that there are also samples available for the single on their OHP.

Here’s the MySpace bulletin that was recently posted about JSHOXX’s hide celebration this Sat.
Our original and favorite Psyborg Guitar God hide would have turned 44 this coming Saturday Dec 13th. To show tribute to hide, we will be reserving this Saturday starting at 3:00pm PST hide day!! Cranking hide studio songs, live concert, and covers, as well as talking to fans about the Psyborg Guitar God. Hope you will tune in and pay tribute.
I think it’s a cool idea. ^^ Be sure to tune in, as JSHOXX is a free online radio station, and in my opinion, one of the best stations out there.

I just read this bulletin from Dir en grey’s MySpace page and I thought it might be of some interest.
The bulletin reads as follows:
Today, Headbangers Blog premiered DIR EN GREY’s new video for “Dozing Green,” the twelfth track from the band’s forthcoming seventh studio effort, UROBOROS. The video was directed by the band’s longtime collaborator Hiroyuki Kondo, and took two and a half months to create from filming to post-production!
Be sure to check it out HERE RIGHT NOW! Then stay tuned for it’s television debut, scheduled to air at 2AM this Saturday on MTV2′s Headbangers Ball…

tragedy for Aoi

Aoi of Ayabie posted a rather personal entry on his blog. Seems that his mother recently passed away and said he would be taking some time off from his blog and from work. He also would like to say sorry for causing his fans to worry and for not getting back to all his petas and comments.
We are sorry for his loss, its never easy losing someone close.
