We’ve been rather quiet about ALSDEAD as of late, but that hasn’t stopped the band from making several good announcements within the last week!
At their sponsored live event on May 12th, ALSDEAD announced they will be releasing a new single this summer, as well as having a One Man at Ikebukuro Edge on August 23rd.
There is currently no new information about the upcoming single despite its planned release during the Summer of 2013, but a little more information has been released on their upcoming One Man!

When VAMPS makes news, they really make news. We have three big announcements for you readers today.
First, VAMPS has been chosen as one of the performers in this year’s MTV Video Music Awards Japan! They’ll be rocking along with acts like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Momoiro CloverZ, and TLC! It will be broadcast on June 23rd at 20:00 (JST).
If you are currently in Japan and have an address here, you can apply to win a free ticket to the performance on June 22nd here! It takes place at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall. The application period ends on May 31st at 17:00. 250 winners will be notified by e-mail and tickets will be send to their address.
Second, VAMPS has announced another “BEAST PARTY” for 2013! This time, it’s called “BEAST ON THE BEACH.” It takes place on August 10th and 11th at Yamanashi Prefecture’s Yamanakako Communication Plaza Kirara. The show opens at 16:00 and starts at 17:30, but the area is open from 9:00-21:00.
Regular standing tickets are 6660yen (7160yen same day). But, if you are a VAMPADDICT or HYDE Room member, you have the option to purchase a special standing ticket. For 8500yen, you also get a soft drink bar ticket and an official BEAST PARTY towel. Pre-order for VAMPADDICTs is from May 23-28th. HYDE Room’s pre-sale starts on May 29th and ends on June 3rd. The Pia Pre-reserve is from June 10-16th. Finally, regular sales begin on June 29th.

We’ve come to our last newsflash from VAMPS!
On July 3rd, VAMPS will be releasing a double A-side single called “AHEAD/REPLAY.” It comes in three versions: Type A (1600yen) contains the “AHEAD” Official MV, while Type B (also 1600yen) includes the MV for “REPLAY.” The Regular Version is 1200yen. You can place an order for any copy at CDJapan.
“AHEAD” has been chosen as the theme song for Sony Mobile Communication’s new Xperia Smartphone! Check out the CM below before (or after) you pre-order your copy. HYDE the man appears himself (in glasses, too!):

Black Gene For the Next Scene: The Grand Update

As some of you readers might have noticed, the site has been a bit stagnant lately. As such, we have fallen behind on updates for a few bands.
Therefore, this shall be deemed Black Gene For the Next Scene: The Grand Update!
First, the band is releasing not only their first album, but also a new maxi single.
The maxi single, “CHANGE TO CHANCE,” will be released on July 24th. (There’s an exciting bit of news with this in an upcoming article, so stay tuned!) It will be released in two types.
Their first album is titled 「Dance to Rave ～脳内シェイクなsong達～」 (Dance to Rave ~nounai shake na song tachi~). It will be released in three types on August 28th.
Details on both the album and maxi single have not been released yet; check back in a few days!

Finally, a bit of fun news.
As I’m sure a lot of you already know, fans at Japanese concerts like to do what they call 振付 (furitsuke), which roughly translates to “choreography.” Usually, the fans will create it themselves or improvise based on cues from the band members. Black Gene, however, has set their own rules for the game by making their own furitsuke videos!

Being the bearer of bad news is definitely not one of the best things to be these days.
Fi’Ance. announced today that after their Sponsored Live Events and One-Man on September 27th, the band will be disbanding. Members announced on their ameblos about the upcoming disbandment. Their messages can be read below.

AMARANYX’s Kazuharu Returns

Good news for AMARANYX fans this week. We mentioned earlier in the month that AMARANYX’s drummer, Kazuharu, was restricted from lives after a nasty bout of appendicitis. However, it seems that Kazuharu is ready to get back to playing, as the OHP has announced the following message:
Thank you very much for always supporting AMARANYX.
A few days ago, drummer Kazuharu was hospitalized for emergency surgery due to acute appendicitis. However, we would like to report that he will be returning to activities as of the April 19th live at Ikebukuro EDGE.translation by Elena

Introducing: VAMPIRE ROSE

Here’s something out of the ordinary, even when it comes to Visual Kei.
This band has been around since the summer of 2012, but since we have not introduced them on Shattered Tranquility yet, this is being filed under an introduction post.
VAMPIRE ROSE is the solo project of Count ROSE, who is actually the chief of a themed restaurant in Ginza called Vampire Cafe. Support members are from different bands. They have had a few lives this year already, but they will be having their first one-man event on April 29th at Birth Shinjuku, followed by a dinner party at Christon Cafe in Tokyo. A big announcement is planned for that day, so if you’re interested, you’d better go!

AMARANYX Announces Free One Man, Special Photo Session

Despite having announced recently that their drummer, Kazuharu, would be taking a short leave of absence due to appendicitis, AMARANYX already seems ready to kick-start the month of May with some exciting news! On May 12th, the band will be performing a Free One Man, titled “DOGMA RETURNS” at the Shinjuku Ruido K4.
In addition to this free One Man, after the show if you have purchased a copy of their newest single “Eve” or spend ¥2000 at their merchandise table after the live, you will be able to participate in a special Photo Session with either your favorite member or the entire band! However, you should note that there is a tiny catch– a photo with your favorite member will cost you ¥500, while a photo with the whole band will cost ¥1000.
There is no mention to Kazuharu not being able to participate, and since it’s over a month away it seems highly likely he will be able to participate. If we find out any further news, we will inform you!

Fantastic news was announced by Signal at their One Man on April 5th at Shinjuku’s Tokyo Wild Side. Prior to the encore, Signal announced that on June 28th the band will be holding their second anniversary One Man titled “OVER THE DEAD LINE.” This will be the band’s third One Man.
The live will take place at Ikebukuro EDGE, doors opening at 17:30/18:00. Tickets will cost ¥3000/¥3500 (not including EDGE’s ¥500 drink ticket.) A Tickets will be going on sale on 4/13, at their Event Live at Otsuka HEARTS.
There was also a mention of another upcoming announcement, though no further news was given at the time. So, when this reporter knows more, so will you!

It’s been a horribly long time since we’ve talked about 12012, especially since their last release was well over a year ago. Well today, they’ve come back to release a new mini album!

Before we finish, let’s talk about their 10th anniversary. May first is 12012′s official formation anniversary date, and this year, they’re holding a countdown to their oneman at Shibuya O-WEST on the same day! Every Tuesday in April starting on the second, they’ll be posting a video interview on their youtube; each week, one of the members will talk about their views on their past ten years, and they’ll also answer questions and messages that you as fans, can send in! If you wish to send a message to the members, send an email to heaven_switch@12012.jp. The deadline is April 15th.

VAMPS ZEPP Tour & Live DVD Details

Earlier this month, VAMPS announced their nationwide ZEPP tour beginning this summer, titled “VAMPS LIVE 2013″!
It will be their first tour since switching to Universal Music. If you have plans to visit Japan this summer, check your calendars (if you don’t, maybe you should)!

HERO’s Major Debut

HERO announced earlier this month that they will be making their major debut this summer!
Their last official live as an indies band will be on April 27th at Zepp Tokyo.
They are making their major debut with a oneman tour this summer called 「オープニング」 (Opening).

Acid Black Cherry’s “Shangri-la” Project

Acid Black Cherry made a big announcement earlier this month, but details have finally been posted.
“Shangri-la” is a project that spans all of 2013 (and possibly 2014?). It was inspired by the concept of the world ending in 2012, but since it didn’t, ABC wants to make all of Japan smile with their music! So, while releasing new songs throughout the year, they will be holding 5 parts of one giant tour throughout 2013. Where will it take place? Throughout all 42 prefectures of Japan! (When he said countrywide, he really meant countrywide).
The dates for the first season, including shows in Tohoku and Hokkaido, were announced today:
August 13th @ Fukushima Cultural Center Hall (Fukushima)
August 17th @ Akita Cultural Assembly Big Hall (Akita)
August 21st @ Sendai Sun Plaza (Miyagi)
August 25th @ Link Station Hall (Aomori)

I call this the Grand Gakido Update!
A few days ago, Shutaro made an important announcement on his official blog.
The band name is changing from it romanized name, GAKIDO, to its original name in Japanese characters, 「我羇道」 (Gakidou).
Shutaro wrote that the reason for the name change was to commemorate the band’s change and growth after 5 years and their desire to move ahead at full speed.
They also announced at the beginning of this month that they are releasing a new maxi single in April!
On April 24th, 「涙枯れるまで泣いてもいいですか？」 (Namida kareru made naite mo ii desu ka?) will go on sale. It has three tracks and a PV. You can pre-order it on CDJapan here for 2100 yen (tax incl.)
