After a long pause, 12012 will be releasing a new album on March 14th. The album is called “12012″ and is available on CDJapan in two types; A Regular Edition and a Limited Edition.

Both versions come with a bonus poster, if preordered, or while supplies last. The Limited Edititon includes a bonus CD.

There is little information on their album, and no tracklist as of yet.

Moreover, as the band approaches their second year, a live has been scheduled to celebrate it! The aptly named “2ND ANNIVERSARY GIG” will be A’s fourth one-man live and will take place at SHIBUYA-BOXX. Tickets cost 3,000 yen.

L’Arc-en-Ciel, the band has celebrated their formation for 20th anniversary. It has been confirmed that the “20th L’Anniversary TOUR” final in Kyocera Dome Osaka on December 4, 2011 will be released in the movie theaters worldwide.

Their new album in four years and three months , “BUTTERFLY”, will be release on February 8, 2012 and it became a hot topic when they announced that 777 winners in total will be selected and invited as guests to the event named “One Night Only, L’Arc-en-Ciel Premium Night” in LIQUIDROOM, Tokyo as album purchasing bonus.

Furthermore, from this March, “L’Arc-en-Ciel WORLD TOUR 2012” will be held in ten cities around the world including countries in Asia, New York, London and Paris.
In addition, their first Hawaii concert on May 31 and June 1 and comeback of the legendary fan event ―“Hawaii-en-Ciel”, are also announced.

The single, which is set for release on February 29th, comes in 4 types.
Limited Type A includes a DVD with the 静脈 (joumyaku) PV and a 30 minute long bonus film titled 長編特典映像～青の回想録～ (chouhen tokuteneizou ao no kaisouroku). Limited Type B’s DVD includes a different version of the PV, called 十五周年樹念映像作品『静脈』 (juugo shuunen junen eizou sakuhin [joumyaku]) and a compilation of offshoot footage with an interview.

DIR EN GREY cancels their North American tour due to vocalist Kyo’s throat condition

The five member rock band, DIR EN GREY’s vocalist stated that his throat felt off, and they therefore they canceled their North American tour that was planned for next month. The doctor’s examination found a polyp on his vocal chords, as well as a sound impediment, resulting in the cancellation of their tour.

The polyop on Kyo’s vocal chords is severe, and therefore he will need to have surgery as soon as possible. The band’s management commented, “more tests will still need to be done”, and at this moment they are unsure when DIR EN GREY will be able to continue their activities.

In 2009, Kyo was hospitalized for chorditis and laryngeal edema, and they postponed both their Sendai and Sapporo shows. According to the staff, “Kyo does not have a strong throat, and due to the band’s extreme schedule since last summer, his tiredness accumulated, so he needs rest”.

This year DIR EN GREY, who are also famous in both Europe and Asia and were planning to have a tour from March 7th in Seattle to April 7th in Lousivlle, covering 14 North American cities (1000 ~ 3000 person capcity per show), will be celebrating their 15th anniversary. Among the live shows, in Dallas they had planned to perform at a venue that could house 10000 people.

Sakuracon 2012 has just revealed that their musical guest for 2012 is going to be the all female Rock band, StereoPony.

The band consists of AIMI (Vocals/Guitar), NAOHANA (Bass), and SHIHO (Drums).

They have done openings to many popular animes, such as Bleach and Gundam 00.

This will be their first time at Sakuracon 2012.

According to the Showbox at the Market’s twitter, the entire Dir en grey tour starting in March of 2012 has been canceled.

“showboxsea showboxsea .@DIRENGREY_web has regretfully cancelled their tour, including the 3/7 date @showboxsea. A formal statement will be released shortly.”

It’s flu season!

MoNoLith posted an announcement on the 1st that after feeling ill since the end of last month, Shuuhei has seen some doctors and it turns out he’s caught the seasonal bug. In accordance with this diagnosis, Shuuhei did not participate in the band’s performance on February 2nd.

Though the band has several other lives this month as early as the 6th, no further information has been posted as to whether or not he’ll miss more shows. We hope he gets well soon!

Have you heard already? Finally, news for those New England fans who’d gotten antsy waiting for an announcement: exist†trace will be coming to Boston on March 15 with a special tour-kickoff VIP-only live at The Middle East! Tickets are $39.50 a pop and are limited to 200 lucky fans, all of whom will get to participate in an autograph session at the end of the show. But a caveat: this show is 18+, so if you’re under 18, you’ll have to travel to another show…

This Boston date is in addition, of course, to their already scheduled (and already selling out!) performances in New York, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh’s Tekkoshocon.

Speaking of the other dates, updated details are telling us that the March 18th New York show is also 18+ (16+ with guardian), and the March 20th Philadelphia show is all ages, but requires guardians for those under 16. Please bear that in mind so you do not get turned away at the door.

The mini-album is set to come out on March 7th, and is titled 「鏡の涙」 (Kagami no Namida). It will cost 2415 yen, and contains five tracks, including 「暁の舞」 (Akatsuki no Mai) and 「香想曲」 (Kasoukyoku).

As of January 13th, the band has been doing a radio show airred on Nishitoukyou FM (84.2MHz), called 『Art Cube　真夜中のTeaTime（24時30分～25時）』 (ArtCube Mayonaka no Tea Time (12:30am ~ 1:00am)). The show is broadcasted on the second and fourth Fridays of each month.

A quick heads-up for East Coast (US) L’Arc~en~Ciel fans – tickets for the March 25 Madison Square Garden date of their 2012 World Tour go on sale this Saturday, January 28 through Ticketmaster. But for those of you who just cannot wait to get your hands on those tickets, there is a pre-sale going on right now limited to fans who signed up for the mailing list ahead of time! According to sources, many people who signed up for this mailing list unfortunately did not receive the pre-sale link, but if you’re one of those less-than-lucky fans, don’t fret – ask around that L’Arcosphere and you are sure to find that link before the pre-sale closes.

The ticket page of L’Arc’s OHP has not yet been updated with details for the New York show, so it is as-yet unknown whether there will be VIP packages like there are for some of the other dates, but given that it *is* Madison Square Garden, the ticket levels are definitely tiered. Prices range from $54.00 to $99.50 a pop depending on where the seats are located (Ticketmaster fees *not* included, so brace yourselves for an extra $14+ “service charge”).

If you’re not familiar with the famed Madison Square Garden, there are five levels of seating and the arena, totaling room for 20,000 concert-goers. It’s not quite the size of Tokyo Dome, but it is New York’s ultimate entertainment stadium, where domestic and international acts alike solidify their superstar reputations by bringing together tens of thousands of fans in the heart of midtown Manhattan.

Keep your eyes peeled, your credit card numbers memorized, and your trigger fingers hovering over that home row because the good seats are going fast!

Just a little update from our favorite (only!) sexual harassment-themed band. After Wataru left to join -L- last month, it seems early this month their OHP was updated with a blurb stating that “for adult reasons, Warugaki will be on break for January 2012!”.
There’s no insight as to what this peculiar message means, but do you care to wager a guess, readers? Here’s to hoping they start back up with no problems!

On January 15th, Alice Nine sported traditional Japanese garb and headed off to Shinjuku’s Akagi Shrine to play a special live — at the shrine — and to formally pray for the success of upcoming album, “9″. The event was attended by 200 lucky fans drawn from a lottery of purchasers of the recent single, “Niji no Yuki” — though there were about 2000 entries in the lottery. What lucky fans!
