ASTRAY is a brand new band that will offically be starting activities in March!

They are a five member band comprised of:

Vocals - 輝夜 (Kaguya) [ex-GRIEVER as SIN, ex-BERLIN]
Guitar - 大牙 (Taiga)
Guitar - Katsuki
Bass - YOURI [ex-GRIEVER, ex-SoЯARiS]
Drums - やみ (Yami)

Their first live will be on March 22nd at Osaka MUSE, where they are participating in Jackman’s 2 year anniversary sponsored tour. They have another live planned on April 8th at Shinsaibashi soma.

Not a lot of information is available yet, but hopefully a release will come out not long after they officially start activities.

Introduction: A’LETZA

A’LETZA is a new, Nagoya based band that was officially announced on the first of the year!

They’re a four member band:
Vocals - 伽維-kai- [ex-Rosalie, ex-[Rem], ex-MAYBEE CRAZEE, ex-Cell*June)
Guitar - 迅-zin- [ex-Schwein, ex-VIP LINK]
Bass - 梓姫-azuki- [ex-TearLace]
Drums - カナタ-kanata- [ex-DerSchwarz Support]

Their first maxi-single, “Awake”, is set to be released on May 9th. The tracklist is currently unavailable, however, it will contain 3 tracks for 1,575 yen. It will also include one of five randomly selected trading cards.

Along with the release of hte single, will be an instore event at Like an Edison in Nagoya on May 12th. For the event they will be working as staff at the shop for an hour, and those who buy their CD will be able to get it signed.

At HOLIDAY NAGOYA on March 30th, the band will be holding a free event in commemoration of their formation called “AMBIVALENTAL DECAY Vol. 0″. Then on May 12th, once again at HOLIDAY NAGOYA, they will be sponsoring a CD release event called “AMBIVALENTAL DEACY Vol 1l”. Tickets to this event cost 2500 yen, and all who attend to see A’LETZA will receive a special comment DVD as a present.

2the DISCOLAND

2the DISCOLAND is a new band that started at the tail end of last year, who will have their first, demonstration live later this month.

The band consists of five familiar members:

Vocals - 皇 (Kou) [ex-M.cry]
Guitar - 戒音 (Kaine) [ex-Alumiland, ex-VelBet]
Guitar - 四道 (Shidou) [ex-NaiL]
Bass - 智希 (Tomoki) [ex-ArecsiA, ex-Limit-0-, ex-BLACK LINE]
Drums - テケデ (Takede) [ex-HATED, ex-Harvey, ex-V-Family, ex-Shinsekai]

Their demonstration live will be on February 23rd at RUIDO K4, where they’ll play alongside EAT YOU ALIVE, TOKYO HEROES, DISH, ALSDEAD and Lucky13.

They’ll also be playing on March 7th at Ikebukuro EDGE. Tickets to that lie cost 3000 yen and went on sale on February 4th.

This month they are planning to release a demo CD, but further details are not available.

DAISHI’s new band, SIX

Former Psycho le Cemu and The ROMEO vocalist, KAJINAGA DAISHI, has started up a new band! Although his new band isn’t visual, I figured that he probably still has fans who have followed him from their Psycoh le Cemu era.

The new band’s name is SIX, and they’re comprised of five members.

Vocals – KAJINAGA DAISHI [ex-The ROMEO, ex-Psycho the Cemu]
Guitar – SUGA DAISUKE [ex-The ROMEO]
Sax – BABA REIJI
Bass - TESHIMA KAORU
Drums – OKAMOTO TADAFUMI [ex-The ROMEO]

On their OHP they only have two lives currently listed. One on March 20th at Zher the ZOO YOYOGI, and one on April 22nd at Shibuya CHELSEA HOTEL.

Introducing D’sko

As always, the start of the year seems to bring around unexpected and unfortunate disbanding announcements. However, it’s also a time for new bands to begin!

D’sko is a band that started in November, and who had their first (demonstration) live on December 9th at Shibuya REX.

They’re a four member band with the following line-up:
Vocals - シト (Shito) [ex-MELISSA, ex-Veronica]
Guitar - HISAKI [ex-MELISSA, ex-haunted, ex-Rucid, ex-MerCurius]
Bass - テラ (Tera) [ex-VALQUR, ex-KiraLez, ex-LaTeratool, ex-6→7]
Drums - KARUTO [ex-Siva, ex-haunted, ex-Valls, ex-MELISSA]

Along with having individual blogs (click on the member’s names to visit), they also have a D’sko official blog on visulog.

Their demo CD was called 「極彩地底パラダイス」 (Gokusai Chitei Paradise) and was released as a free CD at ZEAL LINK stores, closet child, Pure Sound, Like an Edison (Shinjuku only), Jishuban Club and Lucy’s Pocket.

On January 23rd, the band performed at their first official live at Shibuya REX alongside other bands such as BLACK CAT, D’uAl, 黒雛-kurobina, BACALLA and others. That day, they also released a second demo CD (untitled).

Litchi☆Hikari Club

On top of being in the middle of PENICILLIN’s 20th anniversary circuit, Hakuei has been keeping busy. On December 30, the side project Litchi☆Hikari Club, named after the manga of the same name (not for the faint of heart!) played a one man show at Tokyo Kinema Club. Other members of the project include saxophonist Shinji Takeda and KERA model Yu Kimura.

Remember the new band, World Wrap Word, which we mentioned in this Random fact of the day? Even though they announced they’re making an official opening of their activities next year, they are already pretty active!

They have uploaded their first official photos of which you can see more on their OHP and have already announced a few live-schedule dates! It seems like they will be having a lot of lives with Dolly, as Yuina is their ex guitarist!

Ex-SIVA Member’s New Band

This is a bit of older news, but still amazing nonetheless!

It looks like some ex-SIVA members have formed a new band! They were formerly a session band under the same name, but as of October, they became a formal band. Their name is Lucky13 and they’ll have their first live at Shibuya REX on 2012.1.15. Unfortunately their OHP is down at the moment, but hopefully it’ll be back up soon.

The members are:

ex-Dolly Yuina has a new band! And guess with who!

Tsukasa of ex-Bis and Yuuta of ex-Megamasso!!

Their name is World Wrap Word and they will start official band activities in 2012. by being a side act to DAMIJAW on their live on 10th of March, which is a part od DAMIJAW’s “Be with You!!!!!” tour around Japan!

World Wrap Word formed in September, but as I mentioned, they won’t be doing any activities until next year.

Are some of you as excited as I am?

Lucy MonoStone

A new band, called Lucy MonoStone has formed, and they’ll be having their very first live on October 15th!

There is no official photo of the band yet, however, the members are:
Vocals - TAKASHI [ex-FAIRY FORE, ex-uBuGoe]
Guitar - YOUDAI[ex-WHITEBLACK, MiU Support]
Guitar - りくや☆ (Rikuya) [evo'L]
Bass - DI [ex-the fool support, ex-uBuGoe support, Miss Jelly Fish]
Drums - YOKO [ex-FAIRY FORE, ex-uBuGoe]

Their first live will take place at Shinjuku RUIDO K4 and costs 3000 yen to attend. Their second live will be on October 25th at Meguro THE LIVE STATION, and costs 2500 yen.

New Band: Kameleo

Today, we’re introducing to you a new band– Kameleo! Their unique appearance gets me already…! As of now, info on the band is very limited. The banner at the right hand corner says that the info will be revealed at a later date! How mysterious!

Anyways, on their OHP, it’s revealed that they will release a demonstration album on November 16th. There will be five tracks in total, and they are:

1. ニート姫 (NEAT Hime)
2. How much?
3. 世紀マン (Seikiman)
4.評論家的ダンスナンバー(Hyoronka-teki DANCENUMBER)

Rarirurero’s First Live

ラリルレロ (Rarirurero) is a new abnd that was supposed to have their first live on September 1st, however, it was cancelled due to the vocalist, Hina, falling ill. The band’s first live has been rescheduled to October 26th!

The members of the band are some old favourites (but unfortunately, no band OHP or photo yet):

Guitar - 妖迦 (Youka) [ex-Burea]
Bass – 梁 (Yam) [ex-Schwein]

Another new band around! They are ラムフ　(LAMF), formed in January this year and had their first live appearance in Ikebukuro Black Hole in August!

The members are

We’re bringing you another band, Anonymous Confederate Ensemble! They’ve been mentioned before, as ‘A’, but not formally introduced. They’re also known as A(ｴｰｽ).

Here are the members:

The theme for the band is ‘The World’. They aim to take the music of the world and incorporate it into their music to create a new style of rock. If you’re interested in hearing what they’re like, why don’t you check out their official youtube channel here.

Black Gene For the Next Scene – ex-Vidoll Rame’s new band

So I’m going to start with introducing a new interesting band; Black Gene For the Next Scene. The bassist of this band is Rame from ex-ヴィドール (Vidoll)! Also guitarist 刻 (Toki) and drummer Sala (also known as mikami) might be familiar to some of you.
