A few day ago, we mentioned that LM.C will be going on a world tour, and releasing a new album in April .
A few new details about the album have been released, and they’re up for pre-ordering on Brand-x.jp. Once again, the album is out on April 4th, and is titled “STRONG POP”. It will be released in three types.
STRONG POP First Press Limited Edition Type A (CD + DVD) – 3500 yen
STRONG POP Frist Press Limited Edition Type B (CD + Goods) – 6000 yen
STRONG POP Regular Edition (CD Only) – 3000 yen
LM.C, who are embarking on an overseas “STRONG POP” tour, have added three new shows their their world tour:

June 3rd @ 蒲吧Hang Out, Hong KongTickets for all three shows go on sale starting February 6th.

On February 29th, SHOXX will be releasing a “SHOXX FILE LM.C 2006 – 2011″, a must-have for all LM.C fans!
The price is set at 7980 yen, which is a little steep, but this special issue will contain all of the articles from SHOXX about LM.C from 2006, until their performance at Budokan. Also featured will be special photographs and interviews.
If you’re interested, there are only a couple of copies left on CDJapan!

Whose Ink Graces the Cover of This Month’s ‘TATTOO TRIBAL’ ?

Half the fans already know from the announcement on the OHP, and the other half probably recognize these arms, but humor me and take a guess: whose inked up arms are the cover story for the 47th volume of TATTOO TRIBAL magazine?
Points* for whoever can recite the Engrish near his right shoulder from memory, and double super bonus sparkle points to anybody who knows which tour had some merch carrying that same phrase.

Volume 3 is out, Taa of LuLu is the cover boy on this issue. You can view the digital issue over here. This issue also features, a memorial for Zill, an interview with The Sound Bee HD and many more goodies.

We talked about this magazine once before when they featured Luzmelt in their first issue over here. Now they are back with issue number two and the cover artist is another Starwave band, the fool. There is also a feature of Luzmelt at their first US appearance, Aural Vampire and Suicide Ali. The issue comes out on July 1st so keep your eyes open for more info.

CURE – Rin cover revealed

We talked about Rin doing a twitter event with CURE and even being featured on the cover of issue 81 – June’s issue. CURE has posted the cover image. Its of Kisaki versus having the actual band but its still a nice cover! Can’t wait to see what the other images look like.

Suicide Ali to be featured on cover of risknote

Suicide Ali will be featured on the cover of the new Risknote that will be coming out in May. You can already preorder the issue at the label’s store over here. The magazine is only $15.00 and will include interviews with Kiwamu, LIX., THE SOUND BEE HD, the fool, DELUHI, Luzmelt, Calmando Qual and many more! The group also has a new look which is pretty much made of cool. Again – note the accessories are of Ryonai’s designs!

The GazettE, Reita Interview in Arena 37C, March 2010

I recently bought the March issue of ‘Arena 37C’ and I’m currently working through translating interviews from it. The first one I bring to you is a personal interview with the bassist of GazettE, Reita. Here, he mainly talks about the band’s gig last year on Christmas Eve, as well as boys being “simple-minded”, his love for motorbikes and the importance of memories.
In the recent midst of what seems to be a lot of bands disbanding, I hope you enjoy reading this interview where you hear about such a great band who still get on well together after so many years

— Could you tell us about more about your 2009 Last Live on the 24th December at the Tokyo Big Sight?
Now that we’re into the new year [2010] it seems like a long time ago, but on that day we all got really excited. Because of the place [of the live] and the special set list that we had, I think it had a different feel to our regular ones [gigs].
— I thought so too. I got a big thrill from seeing the scene of that large hall full of an audience.
I’d like the GazettE to continue being a band that gives you [fans] a thrill.

Dir en grey, Vicious magazine interview ’99

This is a really old interview I translated a while back, of Dir en grey back in 1999, when they were just about to make their major debut with their 3 singles; ‘ゆらめき’, ‘残-zan-’ and ‘アクロの丘’.
This specific interview was when they had just done some recordings and a photo-shoot in Los Angeles.
Notes I’ve made are in small print in []s. An apology I must make though; I no longer own the original text of the interview, and as my translating skills were not as good back then as they are now, I’ve been unable to edit parts I didn’t really understand. I’ve tried to make as many changes as possible though, but please note that there could be some small mistakes!
It’s quite amusing to see what Dir en grey thought of L.A. back then, and I think we see a previous side to them – hope you enjoy it!
“We (Vicious) have been to Los Angeles!! We went and chased Dir en grey!!! We managed to catch them during their recording for their Major Debut Single which is released on 20th January!! Vicious exclusively presents the band’s first photo shoot abroad as well as an interview!!!! We even managed to hear their views on L.A. and their feelings before their debut.”
— Good work on the photo shooting guys! What are your views are on your first photo-shoot abroad?
Kaoru: I think the fact that we managed to see the city was more fun rather than the shooting itself. Seeing as it was the first time we’d been outside since we’d come to Los Angeles. (laughs)
— But the places you went round today for the photoshoot are not really tourist attractions, but places you wouldn’t visit normally, yes?
Toshiya: Behind business buildings. (laughs)
Kyo: To be honest, they’re not really places you’d want to visit (laughs)

SuG’s New Look

SuG has updated their ohp with their new look! They have also updated it with information on how you can receive a signed poster when you purchase their single 39GalaxyZ. Unfortunately it appears to only be available for Japanese residents only. If you are currently living in Japan, check out their ohp for more info.
Along with this update, SuG has also mentioned that they will be featured on PSC’s Peace&Smile History 1998-2008 photo book which basically includes photos, etc., of the many bands that have passed through PS Company within the 10 years.

GaGaalinG comes to LA!

Seems like GaGaalinG will be coming to Anime Expo 2008!! The band will be opening the 2nd annual BATTLE OF THE BANDS contest. They will be performing on July 3rd!!
They are really busy these days, because Royal Stranger, their new album will be sold in Europe! Dates are as followed:

FOOL’S MATE EXPRESS VOL.2

FOOL’S MATE came out with the 3rd issue in their new magazine series. Yes thats right, they are on issue #3! But the issue is still called Vol.2??? WELL, the series started with issue #0 with D on the cover and then issue #1 with MUCC on the cover. The newest issue has Merry on the cover. I for one never looked through FOOL’S MATE EXPRESS so I have no idea how it differs from a normal issue of FOOL’S MATE. I am thinking more shiny images and more interviews? Maybe less ads and live house info? If anyone knows please correct me. The issue has already been on stands so you can order it on visuavi shop for 1,300 yen.
