Well, BADDIES are a band quite hard to understand, aren’t they?
Hana Shounen BADDIES are going to an activity pause after their autumn tour 「Boys Ride Bicycle」. However, the activity pause refers to doing live shows exclusively, so they will continue on doing media work, writing blogs, recording etc. They plan on coming back in 2012 and then releasing a full album titled 『Bible』. They also state that one of the things on their “to do” list during the activity pause is curing Hiroshi’s cavity (lol).
Billy is coming back! They will hold only 2 lives on 14th and 15th January, both in Ikebukuro Black Hole. The lives are titled “Saturday Night Insanity” and “Marigold of Despair”
On 18th January they will release a single as Billy. The release is named 「マリゴールド」 (Marigold) and will come in 3 types:

Hello, long time everyone! I’m sorry, I went off temporarily to save the universe from certain doom! So I didn’t write random fact for some days… But, I’m back now with today’s random fact!
Today’s random fact is about Show from LOST ASH ………and shampoo.
In his blog he wrote that he’s recently changed to using pantene shampoo and conditioner and he’s pretty smitten with the results, as he believes it’s improved his hair a bit since he’s started.
Show then went on to tell a story of when he once mistook body soap for shampoo and it made his hair VERY squeaky (￣□￣;)!!
I hate when one makes such mistakes! Has anyone else done that? I can’t say I’ve done it with shampoo..but I’ve certainly mistaken things for other things before!

On the page a special music video plays, featuring bassist Katsuki putting on a “live show” of sorts. It was made in fun and plays “HERE WE ARE” a song from their first demonstration single. So I got my Limited Edition version of Sadie‘s new single Crimson Tear. Let’s just say this…
What the fuck…did I just watch?!!
LOL, I have no idea what the hell was happening. It’s like one of those badly made original Sci-fi channel movies, like a short mini-version, not that I’m saying that’s a horrible thing because I watch those movies…but if you know what I’m talking about then you’ll understand xD
You have Mao getting beat up by three big guys…there’s some blonde chick too. Then like he’s being burned at the stake or something. He’s like crying tears of blood (lol, who would have thought that) and then this tentacle looking thing comes out of his mouth.
If you don’t think that’s crazy enough, flying mini-Mao monster goes after the 3 big guys and kills them all and then goes after the chick.
And of course throughout it they cut to the rest of the band just rocking out and playing there instruments in a ring of like firey trash I guess.
As you can see lots of bloody tears. At least she’s pretty~
I think this might be the best PV ever made just because of the shear crappiness and what the fuck-ness going on xDDDDDDDD
IT DESERVES IT’S OWN POST! And Addy thought I should post it here too xD

I’m back! Megacon was nice. I met someone who recognized me from LJ and I found S~T fans as well as converted a few people. So welcome~!
I’m not going to do a report on Megacon, but I’ll post some cosplay pictures I took featuring a Bergerac cosplayer, an AILE (Yue) cosplayer, and a few Gazette because everyone and their mother loves Gazerock….
Be cautious though. A few of these won the failing game.

Today, at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU they had an UNDER CODE PRODUCTION event to mark the 5th anniversary since the label’s formation.
All of the UNDER CODE bands participated, along with one of the staff members who was in a session band called “Copy Rock” and Marvelous Maiden’s vocalist タカフミ (Takafumi) who was a roadie for and became quite close to Kisaki.
Two session bands for the event have also been added (quite suddenly). But the line-ups are interesting.

So, I have a bit of a random post for today, but I think that a lot of visual band fans have been through something similar, so I thought I’d share.
The other day (on the 22nd) I was browsing my friends page on LJ, and noticed that Ultra Z (from R-15) had a blog entry titled “Important Announcement”.
Now, as I know many fans do, as soon as I saw those dreaded words I feared the worst. I almost didn’t want to read on only to find out that they were disbanding or that someone was leaving the band — especially because they’re currently my favourite band and I always can’t wait to hear more from them.
But alas, curiosity always gets the better of you and I decided to scroll down a little further to read the post’s contents.
This, is what I read (translated from his blog):

I think I seriously did something like a *headdesk*.
I mean, it’s important and legitimate, but wow. I was totally expecting something else so I must say, I was rather relieved to see it wans’t bad news about the band. But it really got me thinking to how often we assume the announcement will be something bad.
Honestly, when you hear or see that a band is having an “Important Announcement”, what first comes to your mind?
I hope it’s not just me who thinks the worst… haha.
And an update on the wallet situation — someone returned it to the police box at around 8:00 this morning, so Ultra Z was able to get his wallet back. In his blog he said thank you and that he’s grateful.

Ok. First of all. If this hasn’t been cleared up, I’d like to clear it up now….
I’m a Nono fan. A big one. So. When I saw this a part of me just knew I had to post about this. Sakurei @ LJ posted these on the jrock macros community on LJ. I loved them so much I had to share them with everyone.
So. Speaking of macros. Anyone have any they want to share. I love seeing good ones. I have some that I made, I’ll use a cut for them since mine are not this awesome. Comment with some that you think are awesome!

Ok. So l went on facebook and was shocked to see a friend request from none other than Camui Gackt!!one1! I don’t know who made it but it was very refreshing because I laughed my ass off. And apparently there’s someone going around as Hyde too. I thought LJ and Myspace were the places for role players, but I guess they’re taking over Facebook too! Be careful!

Haha. Not really. But um ν is doing some two-man concerts.
One with Bergerac on March 17th and one with RuRu called “ニュールル2″ [Nyu~ruru 2] on February 3rd.
I’m glad they can manage to be musicians while remaining creative….. (that was a joke btw).
Since Shattered Tranquility wasn’t open at the time when neu and ruru did a live together the first time (I think), I’ll tell you what I found out about that. On an interview you can see here, Nono admits to going drinking with them and Jun describes them as a “Hospital Iryou Kei Band.” And the interview is like “Oh so very different from Neu!” And Nono’s like “Oh really?” He’s such a special boy.
Oh. Getting off topic again. Back in the days of the MFS (Many Freaks Show) Forum, there was a thread called the “short bus” where we talked about which band boys would be on the short but. We had Nono (ν) and Yuuya (SID) at the top of the list. I also feel that chaos (jealkb) should be there.
Do you guys know any band guys that are just too special for words? Comment here to have them put them on the short-bus list!

カル・ヴァリ (Kalvary), who Hideko posted about here, has of January 1st announced that their current support drummer, 英治郎 (Eijirou) will be joining the band as an official member.
Okay, so the real reason I wanted to post about them is because in their mail magazine, Ko-ichi wrote this:
“Bassboyこーいちだzee!”
(It’s Bassboy, Koichi zeeee!)
And it amuses me far, far, far more than it really should.

You know what I love?
Those budget PV’s that bands make. You know, the ones that were filmed in somebody’s grandmother’s basement… and then they decided to “edit” it, meaning they opened it on someone’s computer and put some random ‘video effects’ in. Then they decide that’s just not good enough so they throw in some clips from live footage.
I’m not being sarcastic or anything, I really do love them. They’re highly entertaining.
The reason this came up, is because today I finally found a few DVDs I had misplaced months ago and I was watching them… this PV came up (I just cut about 30 seconds of it, but you’ll definitely get the point).
The band is PHANTOM.

HOLY GIRL’S NAMES BATMAN

So, in the post about VanessA, Hideko mentioned what’s up with bands being named after foreign girl’s names.
That prompted me to make a list, of all the (visual) bands I could think of and find that had a girl’s name for a name or in their title; Western, Japanese or otherwise.
Right now, we’re at a whopping 124 names.
If you can think of any more, comment and we’ll add ‘em on!

2008 Predictions

I saw someone on LJ do this, and I thought it was funny. But here is a list of things I believe with happen in 2008.
1.) Tenten, Ryouki, Saburou, Yuma, and Towa will form a band. Kiaki will cry himself to sleep at night until….
2.) After the success of Misora’s revival live, Oto Kiaki and the rest of the former members make a comeback.
3.) JOKER does a revival live, and Nono posts pictures of himself Yuuto and Byou/Toge on his blog.
4.) It brought back such memories that Byou changed his name back to Toge.
5.) Kanoma (ex Fatima) changes his name to “Kay.” And puts together a highly anticipated band with a ridiculously funny name.
6.) Sugar can’t find a replacement for Koto so they disband, T__T. SIZNA and Loki both go solo for a while and eventually decide to start a new band.
7.) Kisaki and Michiru decide to create a new record label together (LoopCode or UnderAsh) and Pashya and Neu are their main bands.
8.) meth. becomes so unbelievably popular that they sell out Budokan by the middle of the year.
9.) Miyavi drops out of the visual scene and does hippy music with Sugizo.
10.) Nightmare continues to make anime songs and become so popular they put UVerworld out of business.
11.) PSC does a series of session bands that go on tour. We find out that secretly Shou (alice nine) hates Ruki (Gazette), and Keiyuu (Kra) and Isshi (Kagrra,) are best friends.
12.) At the next Jrock Revolution, there is a fangirl WAR and 34 lives will be lost…it’ll be all over the news.
Adrienne’s Predictions:
1.) R-15 changes their name [AGAIN!] to PG-13 and three months later change it to Molly.
2.) Chariots and burea will disband, and the Gifu gang (Rara, Akito, Ichigo and Tomo (Miyamichi) will form OR Jaguar Alive (with Rara, Ichigo, Yuuri, Kou, Miyamichi, Akito, Hijiri and Reiya) will form. Yuuri will also officially change his name to Yuuri-papa.
3.) Io (Pashya) will join another band since he didn’t go to (UnderAsh or LoopCode), and that band will disband exactly one year after they form.
4.) Mikaru’s (Dio) dog will die forcing Dio to disband as Mikaru goes into a deep state of depression.
5.) Tenten will be arrested for Indecent Exposure and then write about it on his blog in great detail.
