■An Important Message from Tu[ism]■
We would like to thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for always supporting Tu[ism].
We will [now] report on the matter announced at the live on December 7.
It has been decided that after the performance on February 24, 2012, Tu[ism] will disband.
We are terribly sorry for the late announcement on the homepage.
Two years of activity have already passed, and though things are half-finished…
The decision follows the individual worries of each member; it is selfish but we would certainly be glad if you could forgive us.
Furthermore, in a few days we will release our activity schedule and details related to the February 24th performance.
Only a short period of activity remains, but until the end we will race on as four people so please offer us the warmest encouragement you can.

Golbeza Disbands

Following a posting on their website stating that the end of Golbeza would come after their live on January 29th, the band wrapped up activities as planned. Their website states:

Earlier today, the following announcement was posted on Shiva’s website:
More than ever, we would like to thank you deeply for supporting Shiva.
At this time it has been decided that after Shiva’s performance at Takadanobaba AREA on April 12, 2012 (Thurs) the band will dissolve.
We are terribly sorry to everyone that gave us there support, and to all related persons, for this kind of unfortunate news.
Until the last live all the members will strive along with all their might, so we would be grateful for your understanding.

Today I have a sad announcement for everyone.
At Shiva’s 4/12 (Thurs) performance at Takadanobaba AREA we’ll disband.
I’m really sorry to everyone that’s supported us, for this news.
It seems sudden, but since a loooong time ago there was a part of me inside with a hazy feeling, and recently it came to the point where there’s nothing left to do; real, normal living became difficult.
Shiva is really important [to me], but as a work colleague there’s always been a part [of me] that can’t possibly trust from the heart. There’s been absolutely no time for my heart to rest and I can honestly say I hit my limit.
Right now I’m frazzled to the point that I can’t think at all about what I’ll do after we disband on April 12.
Since Shiva was the only dream I painted, I don’t even know if I’ll do music, and I don’t know about the other members, either.
To this extent, it was only Shiva.
I think there’s bound to be the kind of music that only Shiva can do, and that of course won’t change even now, so there’s pride as an artist, but the bands are really tough.
Having all the members going in the same direction with the same passion as all the other members is really tough.
Anyway, after this we have a one man in Nagano, and also a one man in Tokyo, so until the end I’ll live only as Shiva’s Hashiki with all my might.
Really, thank you for always supporting us.

It was only a little at a time but the people who have come to like Shiva has increased, and at this time, I am truly sorry that we will take the form of half-finished intentions. We weren’t able to keep the promise we made at the time [our] results for V-ROCK were no good, that we’d definitely take you all to Budokan or Saitama Super Arena. I’m sorry.
However, until the last moment of 4/12 I won’t cut any corners, so I intend to face it with no less power than I have up until now.

Para:noir’s Parting Messages

With the announcement of their breakup, Para:noir members left their fans with some very heartfelt messages which have given us some insight as to why they decided to call it quits.

You guys who’ve supported us from the heart. I’m truly sorry.
When Yukino’s departure was decided,
I thought something like “already, only disbandment is left”.
It’s not like just any member who can play an instrument is okay.
Even if a really great member was found, it was my belief that I can’t just be in a band that just changes one [member] after another.
So, at that time everyone talked together over and over and we decided to break up.
I’m truly sorry. That was the only feeling I can’t express.
But
At SHIBUYA O-WEST on April 30 that we all decided
I thought we’ve just gotta stand on this stage no matter what.
Since we’ve even decided on breaking up from the heart, we haven’t even done one sloppy live.
We haven’t even created one sloppy song or word.
The remaining lives and the songs born from our hearts — they’re the same.
I believe I can only express that.
I’m truly, truly sorry.

For me, the feeling of not wanting to accept the word “dissolution” was huge.
Until now I came to think of Para:noir as my complete axis, I did lives, I did my best. It’s been an existence to the point that’s it’s really no exaggeration to say that it was my everything.
That one beloved thing is going away.
I feel like there will be nothing left.
But, after understanding perfectly that in continuing activity, we have a connection of feelings and continuing to ignore the differences in the members’ feelings is no good, we talked together, and it turned into an announcement of this sort.
It’s not like just anyone being a member of a band is okay, so there’s no such thing as ‘if we could keep Para:noir’s form there’s no problem if we keep changing’.
I really feel truly sorry that as a result we’ve betrayed everyone.
I am really grateful to the fans that always supported us. Inside of me is a very important and precious existence. Through the band that became my axis, it became a precious existence… you have all become a big part of my axis, too.
With our Para:noir’s activities there was everyone’s warmth and importance, the difficulties of music, the struggles of continuing, pain, the joy of working hard, a sense of accomplishment; I gained so much. While living through now, they’ve certainly been the deepest times; they were experiences.
Really, thanks for everything.
Until the end I’ll knock myself around and keep doing my best so please support us.
I want you to accept the end of Para:noir perfectly.

On the less-positive side of things, I bring you another disbandment. This message went up on SOMATIC GUARDIAN’S OHP just yesterday:
－Important Announcement－
On March 26, SOMATIC GUARDIAN has solo a drill [one man] at Ikebukuro CYBER,
where all activities will conclude and the band will dissolve.Below are the comments from commanding officer and the head of each troop.
Even if there’s nothing lacking from everything we’ve encountered up through now, personally, I think SOMATIC GUARDIAN couldn’t exist.
The people who have poured out their love until now – all of that love has made me strong.March 26, though it’s the starting point that raised us, our solo drill will happen at Ikebukuro CYBER, and five and a half years of activities will conclude.
We’ve been best by the greatest relationships and love; I can’t thank you enough.
Even our remaining drills are few in number, but we will come to pour our all of our successes into each and every one.In order to say thank you from the heart, until that final moment, let’s fight together.

Some very sudden news from Luzmelt today.
The band has announced that after several talks between the members, that they will be disbanding at Shibuya BOXX on 2012.2.10. They have stated that each member understands that this is the end, and they are deeply sorry to the fans who have supported them thus far. Even though there’s not much time left, they wish that fans will continue to support them until the end.
The members have posted statements regarding the disbandment on their OHP.

ASTRO BOY to Disband

Sad news from ASTRO BOY today, who were planning on releasing their new single soon.
It was announced earlier that they will be disbanding on 2012.3.14. After discussing with the members, it was decided too difficult to carry on, and they decided to disband. They will also be cancelling their release of HOLIC x HOLIC, which was slate to release 2012.2.22.
They are very sorry for the announcement and wish that fans support them until the very end.

Runa leaves and VURNY to Disband

Sad news from VURNY today.
It was just announced on members blogs that bassist Runa would be leaving due to personal reasons, and in February of 2012, they will be disbanding. They stated that they discussed continuing on with just four members, but because they didn’t feel confident going on, they decided to disband. They are sorry for worrying their fans and wish them to support them until the end.
No other details are available at this time, and they have not yet announced a final performance. I’ll update when more is announced.

Remming going on an activity pause

Thanks to everyone who sent tips on this!
Sad news and a very complex situation I bring you here…
On 6th November, Remming’s drummer Kohsuke left and the band has announced an activity pause starting after their 4th December live. However, from members’ comments and a comment from vsoku staff, it would seem more like a disbanding, but let’s just call it activity pause until the band brings up an official decision if they’ll continue their activities as a band or not. Hopefully, they will continue..
There aren’t many information revealed through their comments either, but here’re parts of Sou’s and Chitose’s comments:
Sou:
“I really regret not being able to bring you all with us to the top, with scenery like an infinite starry sky.
Remming won’t be around anymore, but I hope you won’t forget all the songs and music we’ve made up until now.
…
Thanks to all of you, Remming was able to shine brightly.These past 10 months have been so much fun.
I’m happy I was able to meet Chitori, Tomoa-kun, and Kou-chan.I’m happy I was able to meet all of you.
On 12/4 let’s say good-bye with smiles on our faces.”

“As Remming’s unreliable leader, I really regret not being able to keep all the members together.
But we were able to exist as Remming thanks to all of you being there,
and I believe Remming’s music will go on living inside all of you from now on.”

aim disbanded

Not so recent news, but surely a sad announcement for fans of aim. After the vocalist レイ (Rei) left earlier this year, rest of the members have decided to disband and their OHP was shut down this week.
Thank you so much for always supporting aim.
At this time we regretfully announce that along with aim’s recent disbandment, it has been decided that the official site will be taken down on 2011/11/17.
We apologize to all the fans and staff that have helped and supported us until now.
From now on Schwarz, Sakura, and Shota will be carrying on activities in different direction, but we hope that we’ll always have your continuing love and support.
The official blog is still open for now and you can find it here. The members seem to have session bands and will perform at Ikebukuro CYBER on December 4th (as LOST VOICES) and at Takadanobaba AREA on December 12th (as Hysteric Liars).

Not many details were included, but on his blog Morly mentioned that further info will be announced on his and Yuui’s session band CODE-R next live (21st November at Shibuya DUO MUSIC EXCHANGE).

It seems that we had no luck on this one. Announcement they made on 6th October on their live is nothing good. They will be disbanding after their live on 12th February 2012, which will be held in Ikebukuro Black Hole.

It seems that, ex Psycho le Cemu’s vo Daishi’s non-VK band, The ROMEO are disbanding after their live on 30th December. Their last live is named “LAST LIVE ROMEO and JULIETA” and will be held in Chelsea Hotel in Tokyo.
Even if they are not Visual Kei, I think many of you liked The ROMEO, just like I did.

“The dream we’d painted as D’espairsRay has come to an abrupt end.”

As of June 15, 2011, D’espairsRay, who had been on indefinite hiatus since last fall due to severe problems with Hizumi’s voice and health, has officially disbanded.
According to very heartfelt messages from the members on the OHP, with no sign of Hizumi’s condition improving, the band has decided there is no choice but to let this be the natural end of D’espairsRay.
Due to the circumstances, there will be no farewell concert or tour. The band thanks all their fans for their endless support and asks for their forgiveness in this most unfortunate of conclusions.
More details, translations to come later.

BLAST! I had high hopes for this group, especially since Mihiro is one of my old school favorites. They announced that their disbandment will take place August 7th.
They only had a few releases (3 singles to be exact) and we first reported their formation back in 2009.
They will be missed. Anyone else a fan of this band?
