otogadead-loses-ryouki

オトガデッド (Otogadead) announced at their live on Sunday night that their guitarist Ryouki would be leaving the band after their live on April 18th at Takadanobaba AREA.

Yuuki posted the following on the band’s blog:

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who came to today’s live.
And, thanks to everyone who played tonight for their hard work at amber gris’s sponsored event.

We announced it at today’s live, but on April 18th after our live at Takadanobaba AREA, our guitarist Ryouki will be leaving the band.

Honestly, I personally don’t feel as if it’s real.
But, we’ve known about his body being injured, it seems really hard on him, and we’ve seen it with our own eyes.
Although we’re both guitarists, we have different styles and it’s been really fun making music together.
He’s a really great guy, and an awesome friend.

There are a lot of things I’m thinking [right now], but we still have a bit of time left where Otogadead and Ryouki will be making music together, so this is all I’ll write for now.

We really will miss him.
I think that everyone will miss him.

There’s still life left for Otogadead and for Ryouki.
We still have the songs that he’s written.

We’ll keep on going.

Thank you very much for today.

We’ll be waiting for you on April 18th.

Ryouki wrote a comment about his decision to leave in his personal journal:

For starters, I want to say that I’m really sorry for the unexpected announcement.

From the start, I’ve been having pains in my my cervical spine, and since autumn of last year it’s been getting worse. There have been a lot of times during lives where I get really intense pains.
It’s just that I really love performing and it’s a lot of fun, so the feeling of the fun outweighing the pain is strong, which [makes it feel] like I’m not suffering [while I'm performing]. However, doing periodic lives over so many months makes it grow worse, you can tell, and continuining on in a band has turned out to be dangerous.

So with things how they are, it’s started to feel like there’s a difference between the music that I really like

and Otogadead’s music. I wonder if it’s the feeling of the atmosphere rather than the music? In Otogadead, I’ve been able to do the things that I’ve wanted, and I really do love Otogadead’s music, but maybe it’s the atmosphere or something, that seems a little different now. With my body breaking down a little like it has, I’ve really started to feel it strongly.

These are the two biggest reasons [why I'm leaving the band].

I probably won’t be doing a lot of musical activity anymore, but in the future I won’t be breaking my ties with the members of Otogadead or music.
Even afterwards, I’ll probably go out drinking and stuff with everyone! (Laughs)

At any rate, I’ll give my body a rest, and do music as best as I can.

Our next live will be my last, but I’ll put all my power into making it the best!

jin-machine-down-a-member-and-support

Jin-Machine have updated their OHP with the announcement that on April 3rd, their drummer Murata “Punch” Tagosaku will be leaving the band. Furthermore, support member Sei・Excaliber・Ken will also finish up his activities with the band.

The message placed on the OHP is as follows:

An Important Announcement

On April 3rd
Murata “Punch” Tagosaku
Is leaving the band.

【Reason】
Because of IST.

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting us.

~~~~~
Furthermore, Sei・Excaliber・Ken’s support activities have come to a close.
The reason,
Is because of IST.
Thank you for all your support.
We only have a few masses left [together],
But please continue to support us.
Murata “Punch” Tagosaku wrote quite the entry on his blog about leaving the band. I honestly have to say it’s one of the most bizarre comments I’ve seen yet. His entry (may) clear up the confusion behind what ‘IST’ means.
Below is the entry that he posted on March 15th. Please do not post this elsewhere without express permission (it was one… interesting piece to translate, haha).
Don’t say that I’m leaving…
Hey, it’s Omurataponchi!!
It’s already been posted on our homepage, but once again, I, Murata “Punch” Tagosaku will be leaving jin-machine!
It’s been a long time, eh… about five years. Five years.
…. and I had written lots of stuff about it, but by accident I pressed the Esc button and deleted about 2000 characters worth of writing, so now I guess I’ll look to the past and rewrite it. Haha.
Bah, it’s horrible!
But, when I was asked about leaving the band… it’s kind of like dropping out of school… it has this nuance to it like you’ve done something bad, but I’m grateful that I can graduate after being there for five years (laughs).
As for the reason to why I’m graduating….
I’ve only told this to Ichiro… but the truth is…
I’m getting married in June.
To tell you the truth, I’m a little nervous to say this, but I’ve gotta do it…
Now, it’s the third month… and it’s around now that it’s becomming a really busy time, so it seems like I can’t continue on being in a band… I’m sorry about my personal affairs…
…. although
You know, that fishing, was honestly just a hook I used [to get you to pay attention], hahahahahahahahaha.
Before I get married… I’m unemployed and a virgin, hahahahaha.
If I can, because I want to be realistic, I’ll need a job, and if I can I’d like to socialize with some girls… hahahahaha.
So if possible, I think a cute girl with a nice personality, who has a G-cup, money and is around the age of 22 would be awesome.
Someone please introduce me to a girl like that!
Oh and by the way, I, Murata Punch, am 21 years old, I don’t currently have a job and being unemployed, my writing is colourless, so in the future I’m planning on taking up a job where I can dye [my writing] with colours.
My hobbies are snowboarding, cycling, reading, Drum Mania and Bio Hazard
I wonder if I’ll find someone…
Basically, I have a lot of varied interests, so I’m ready.
My special skills are Karate – level 2, Kendo – level 2, Judo – level 2, Calligraphy – level 2, Eiken (English Exam) – level 2, driving for a long time and sleeping for a long time.
I have a nice face, and I’m told that my upper half looks like Matsuda Ryuuhei and my lower half looks like Antonio Inoki.
Although it’s been rude [of me to ask], please help me out.
Please.
(Sorry for being so awkward, haha)
… since it’s hard to write about my real resons for leaving the band, I decided to make a joke… and as for the real reason why I’m quitting, how should I say this… I don’t know the reason behind why I’ve been playing and living for these past five years, but I think I’ve been hit with a curse.
I’m unluckyyy
But I guess it’s because I’m careless.
Or as the saying goes, if the wind blows the you profit with copper.
(The meaning behind this, is that when the wind is blowing, the sand dances and it gets in your eyes, so the number of people who can’t see increases. Therefore, the number of people who can’t see but are playing the shamisen also rises.Because of that, they have to make more shamisen, and since the body part is made from the hide of a cat, they have to kill a lot of cats. Because they’ve killed all these cats, the numbers of the cat’s natural enemy, the mouse, goes up. The mice chew through the buckets at the bath houses, and due to that the guy who sells the buckets makes a huge profit… so it’s like, because this happened, that happens! Ahh, I guess these kinds of proverbs are difficult, aren’t they? They are. Someone investigate, haha).
Back to the story,
I think that here I am, going around and around, living and playing… but I’ve befallen misfortune. Or the gods, or Buddha, or some sort of old guy has given me these trials [to complete]! I’m all sulky on the outside and angry on the inside!
I’m becomming the type of guy who looks like he’s sulking, but is actually furious.
So as it is, it seems like I’ve fallen into a trap where I can’t continue on being in a band.
Ah, but I think this is something that can be resolved within a year or so… maybe.
Therefore, because I don’t want to cause any problems, I decided to leave the band.
I’m really truly sorry for the announcement happening only seven days before my last live in Kanto.
Although, maybe no one even cares…. haha
At that time [the live], I’d already decided, and then… then when we were heading home in the car, and when I was eating the candy that was dropped in the letter box, it got really really salty. I wondered if I should throw the garbage in the garbage… and cried.
With that kind of feeling behind it… some how or another please excuse the unexpected announcement.
I’ve never been able to think that I could make out with one of the band girls… nah, that’s kind of wrong, I wanted to once, hahahaha.
Summing up all that’s been said, I’m thinking that I’d like to be in a band again, haha.
But of course next time, it’ll be a pop band.
But the way,
I guess we can abbreviate this to IST, can’t we? Haha.
Now, [I have lives left on the] 27th, April 2nd and 3rd, so please support me-nyan! ← I might even bare the lower half of my body! Haha
With that kind of feigned innocence, both myself and Excaliber Ken are leaving together.
The reason for that…
I laugh if I say it like, the principles behind it make it seem like we have the type of relationship that girls do, but…
Yeah it’s not like that, it’s… it’s that…
If I’m to give you an example,
It’s like we’re bathroom buddies, hahahaha [Note: As in, how girls always go to the washroom together]
That’s just like him, Ken-sempai hahahahahahahahahaha
Ken, in January you said…..
If Murata quits, I’m quitting too!
I guess that’s what’s happening, huh? Haha.
With all the stupidity, the jokes and the weirdness, I’m saying goodbye here.
utsusemi-down-one
ウツセミ (Utsusemi) will be losing their guitarist 智 (Tomo) after the gig on the 26th of April. Here is the official announcement about the fact:
To all those who have been continually supporting us,
As of the gig on 26th April, it has come to the fact that the guitarist Tomo will be withdrawing from the band.
We sincerely apologise for this being a sudden announcement via our website.
After seriously dicussing this within all the members, by taking Tomo’s thoughts and feelings into consideration, it came to this result.
Although there are not may lives left with the current members, we will try our very best by gathering our efforts together as one.
We hope you continue to support us.
All members of Utsusemi
The members have posted individual comments regarding Tomo’s decisions as well:
Tomo’s Comment:
I’m sorry for the sudden announcement. It has been decided that I will withdraw from Utsusemi. You’re limited to what you can express through words to your own convenience, and because of this reason I thought that my views and feelings towards the band would conflict with the other band members, and so it came to the conclusion that I would leave [the band].
When all members decided to depend our lives on it [the band],
I felt that I shouldn’t be easygoing and be doing this because I found it fun or relaxing.
Although there are a lot of things to ponder about, as things stand, I have no other choice.
It has been just under a year since we formed [the band], and though it was only a short period of doing activities for 6 months, but I am very grateful to have met with the other members and played guitar in Utsusemi.
Although there are not many gigs left [before I leave], I want to be sure I will make these gigs great so that I won’t regret playing guitar in Utsusemi.
It may have been a short period, but I want to deeply thank the fans who have supported us, the members and those involved.
H・BrahmaN’s Comment:
Though this is sudden, it has been decided that our guitarist 智 will be leaving ウツセミ. His reasons for leaving are of his own convenience, meaning that it has become impossible for him to continue with ウツセミ.
I realise that “leaving of his own convenience” sounds rather vague, but I would like to refrain from specifying any details.
However, having to explain this personally; my interpretation of “leaving of his own convenience” is that 智 has chosen to love his family rather than to love himself.
I do not know how the other members interpreted this or how they came about being understanding [towards him].
On top of all members accepting Tomo’s withdrawal from Utsusemi, this declaration has been made.
It has been just under a year since we formed. It has been just under 6 months before we became active [on the music scene]. It may have been only a fraction of an even smaller fraction of Tomo’s time [life], but the other members, probably Tomo himself and I will treasure the fact that we were able to have had the same dream, played music and spent time with him.
We have only but a small and limited time with Tomo left, but I would like us to keep having the same dream until the very end.
I do hope you will continue to support us.
Shunsuke’s Comment:
When I first heard Tomo’s announcement I was so shocked that a part of me didn’t want to believe it was true.
But after hearing more details from Tomo I have been able to come to an understanding.
We may have shocked those who know of Utsusemi and those who came and saw us [at our gigs].
But I would like to make each gig left with Tomo as enjoyable as possible!
I would like everyone who will come and see Utsusemi to have that same [enjoyable] feeling!
Kyohei’s Comment:
First of all, I’m sorry that this has been such a sudden announcement.
It has been just under a year since meeting Tomo and starting a band with him.
I have experienced happy times, fun times and sad times with these members.
I will respect the decision that Tomo made after long pondering about it, and I would like to see him off with a warm heart.
There is but a small number of gigs left, and only a small amount of time left that we can spend together.
I will give it my all until the 26th April!
nexx-loses-reia
NEXX have announced that they will be losing their vocalist, Reia, after their sponsored event on May 15th.
They have updated the member’s blogs with the following announcement:
An Important Announcement From NEXX
Although this is unexpected, today NEXX has an important announcement.
After our sponsored event on May 14th at Shinjuku RUDIO K4, our vocalist Reia will be leaving the band.
The five members had many discussions about the future of the band and talked about the concerns that we had, and as a result came ot this conclusion.
We sincerely apologize to all of our fans, as this type of decision affects our tour and our sponsored events.
Although we regret it, we ask for your understanding and hope that you will continue to support all five of us; Reia , Hide, Shou, CHISA and Shikito.
We will continue on with our scheduled lives as plans, so once again, we hope that you will support us.
Following the announcement, Reia also updated his blog talking about his decision to leave the band.
I’m sure that there are a lot of people who were surprised by our unexpected announcement, however, on May 14th, after our sponsored event, Trip Ring “K” tour final, I will be leaving NEXX.
I am sincerely sorry to all of the fans for doing this so soon after NEXX got started.
However, after talking with all of the members, we arrived at the decision for me to leave.
Honestly, I found the members of NEXX from going to many different livehouses and put together the band, so it’s not that I’ve fallen out of love with the NEXX that we made together. However, after much thought and in respect to our opinions on the future of the band’s activities, the answer we arrived at was me leaving [the band].
It’s not like we’re no longer friends.
Even though I won’t be in the band anymore, I still love each of the members, and I really want NEXX to keep going after I’m gone.
I’ve been worried about my own future, but in reality I haven’t really thought much about it, and I’m not sure if I’ll start up another band or not.
Of course I’ll continue if I can.
Nevertheless, until May 14th I’m NEXX’s leader, and as a vocalist I’ll put even more energy into doing my best.
I’m sorry if I’ve made you sad.
I love you, and all of your smiling faces.
I really do love you.
I’m sorry that this has been awkward, that I can’t really write much about it and can’t express myself well, but please continue to support NEXX.
NEXX Reia
Losing the vocalist is always one of the toughest things on a band, so let’s hope that NEXX can recover and find a good replacement!
xtripx-loses-ruchi
xTRiPx have announced that bassist ruchi will be leaving the band after their live on April 8th.
Thank you for always supporting xTRiPx.
This is unexpected, however, we have some important news for everyone.
Since October of 2008, xTRiPx has been doing activities with these current five members, however, after our live on April 8th, our bassist ruchi will be graduating from the band.
We are sorry to the sudden announcent and for having to announce it like this on our OHP.
In relation to xTRiPx’s future, we are sure that we have made a lot of you worried, but we sitll have lives scheduled with the current five members, and because it’s just a short amount of time, we will be happy if you can warmly watch over the five of us until the end [of the five of us together].
Below we have comments from the member’s to all the fans who have been supporting us.
Upon reading them, we hope that you can understand [our decision].
March 16th xTRiPx
The member’s have all posted comments on the OHP regarding the news.
Yoshito’s Comment
I’m sure that there are probably people who are bewildered by our unexpected announcement.
But now, as a result of the roads we both believe in pursuing coming to a junction, it has been decided that ruchi will be graduating from the band, and advancing down a different path.
The member’s discussed it many times.
In all honesty, I thought that if one of us was to be missing , we couldn’t go on.
However, there are still songs that I want to sing.
There’s still a lot of things that xTRiPx should do, and for ruchi’s sake, I feel like there’s no way we can stop now.
Until April 8th, the five of still have a lot to do to put things in order.
ruchi’s graduation is for the sake of the unknown future.
Although right now, I can only say things awkwardly, I hope you can warmly watch over the both of us from hereon.
Please continue to support us.
Shogo’s Comment
I’m sorry if we surprised you with this sudden announcement.
It’s only been about a year and a half since ruchi became a member of the band, and I’ve felt that [his time in the band] has been rich.
He became like an older brother to me.
We’re going to be walking down different paths, but both of us will keep on doing our best.
ruchi, for everythng thank you, and please support us until the last.
K’s Comment
It’s been decided that ruchi will be graduating from xTRiPx.
This is the decision we reached after ruchi himself and the remaining members, thought about it through and through.
I’m really sorry to the fans for the unexpected announcement and for surprising you.
I don’t really have the words to express what I want, but I hope you can warmly watch over both ruchi and xTRiPx’s future.
ruchi’s Comment
This announcement is unexpected… but
Since the end of last year, I’ve been thinking about it a lot.
So now, I figured that once we finished recording our single, that would be the end for me.
My decision is based on the feeling that I can’t do any better than this.
My band activities, are like a personal marathon
At first, I had a a lot of fun running with everyone
But, gradually, running becomes difficult and tough, and you fall down
Your pace falls behind and when you get like that, it’s time to pass the baton to the next person
This is a result of thinking a lot
About going progressing down a different path
I’m not really looking to stop playing bass or retire from band activities, it’s just I don’t really want to run at that pace anymore.
As for xTRiPx, I really do love their music.
There are more things that I want to say, but as this is how I’m feeling about it all right now,
I’ll be happy if you can watch warmly over me from hereon in.
ena’s Comment
I’m sorry for the unexpected announcement.
ruchi will be graduating [from the band].
The past year and a half that we’ve spent alongside ruchi has for myself, and for xTRiPx, been something that can never be replaced.
I’m sure the fans are extremely surprised.
I think that it’s not something you’ll be able to accept quickly.
However, ruchi has chosen the path, and decided to graduate, so as there isn’t much time left with the five of us in xTRiPx, please watch over us.
I hope you can continue to support us.
anima-down-one
Thanks to yu for the heads-up !
アニマ (Anima) has just announced that they would soon be losing a member. After their sponsored event on March 23rd at Meguro Rock Maykan, kirch (vocalist) will withdraw from the band.
They say this is the result of numerous meeting they’ve been having but also that they will continue on without him.
Also, kirch has written a nice comment about him leaving アニマ (Anima) :
This time, it’s been decided that I will withdraw from the band after our live on March 23rd.
As for the reason, I would just say [in one word] that it is due to personal circumstances.
Lately, it’s become harder to keep on [this lifestyle] being a musician, but anyway I was part of アニマ.
We’ve only formed about 8 months ago now, and although this was a rather short period, to all those who have been linked to アニマ in a way or another, to our fans, and also to the lovely members of the band with whom I’ve shared joys and sorrows for those 8 months, I want to put all my gratitude and respect into those words :
「Thank you」
It seems they haven’t decided yet what they will do after this departure, but we’ll keep you updated.
mei-runs-away
Shino from MiU updated the band’s OHP with a message regarding their vocalist Mei, who they have been unable to get in contact with since the middle of February. Therefore, the band will perform at their next live on March 7th without Mei.
This was the message posted on their OHP:
Thank you for giving your continuous support to MiU.
At this time we have an important announcement.
Since the middle of February, we have been unable to get in touch with MiU’s vocalist, Mei. We then received an e-mail saying that she was quitting MiU, and haven’t heard from her since.
We’d decided what our live schedule was, and we waited to hear from her until our studio day, but when it came time for rehearsal, Mei didn’t show up.
It’s all been very unexpected, and we’re not sure what’s going to happen with MiU from hereon in, but as far as our scheduled live on March 7th goes, we don’t want to betray all of the people who are connected to the band, so without cancelling, we’re going to carry on as planned.
Although this isn’t the most perfect situation, we’ll put all that we can into our music and into facing you, so we hope that you can support us.
MiU
Shino
The live on March 7th will take place at Shinjuku MARS, and will feature ミド (Mido) from えんそく (Ensoku) as the support bassist, and U-YA as support drummer.
MaitoreiA have announced that they their vocalist RETSU will be ‘graduating’ from the band on April 23rd.
The following message has been posted on their OHP:
To all of our fans,
We have something that we must tell you all.
On April 23rd, after our live in Shinyokohama, our vocalist RETSU will be graduating from MaitoreiA.
Now that we’ve finished one year’s worth of activities, the members have come to an understanding about what each of their intentions are, and even though telling everyone [what they were] was painful, thinking about the form that these four members will take from here on, we arrived at what we feel is the best decision.
The four of us met, each growing on our own, and having our own different ideas, and [together] created one thing.
Even though this past year, which was almost like a miracle, has been a short amount of time, we are grateful that the four us were able to walk together with everyone.
We will be blessed if you will warmly watch over the roads that each of us take from hereon in.
It was announced at their live on February 26th, that Tooru-chang would be leaving Medi@lize. They’ve made an official comment about it.
As always, thank you for giving your supporting to Medi@lize.
As announced on February 26th during our live at Takadanobaba club Phase, our syntheizer Toruchang will be leaving the band after our performance on March 22nd at SHINJUKU HOLIDAY.
This is a result of numerous discussions between the members, and reacting to Toruchang’s own request, the members came to this conclusion.
There’s only a short time left, with only two lives with the four of us performing together, however, we will not be stopping our activities, and the members will devote their time into making Medi@lize grow.
We hope that you will continue to support us for a long time to come.
They have updated their official MySpace with the following announcement:
The same message has been posted on their OHP, but instead it says to check the member’s individual blogs for their comments — none of which have been posted yet.
On the OHP, it says that the band’s next live will be sometime in April… guess we’ll have to wait to see where Eros goes with it!
kiki-withdrawing-from-hibrid
It was announced yesterday that Kiki would be withdrawing from band activities with Hi:BRiD. There is an official comment on the site as well as a message from Kiki and a conjoined message from the other three members also.
An important announcement for everyone,
Thank you for always being supportive of Hi:BRiD.
We have an important announcement for you all.
After our live on March 27th, our guitarist Kiki will be leaving the band.
Our decision is a result of much discussion, and in respect to Kiki’s request [to leave the band], however, we deeply apologize to everyone for the worry and the trouble.
There isn’t a lot of time left with the remaining line-up, however, we hope that you can continue to support us in the same way you have been been.
February 27th, 2010
Kiki’s Comment about his decision to leave:
First, I want to say that I am truly sorry about the sudden announcement and for troubling those of you who are always supporting me.
It hasn’t even been a year yet since Hi:BRiD started activities, and we’re still young… I’d been doing support for them since last March, and became an official member in June.
I used to think that the four of us had to keep on working hard, expand our activities, and unifiy music, but I feel that even in this short amount of time, there’s been a gap growing between my own thoughts and feeling on how the band’s activities should be done… and the music I want to make.
Although, those are my own personal, selfish troubles, and even though I’ve opened up the lid on my feelings, I kept on going with the band, I think I’d feel this way again. So, I had many discussions with the members who are continuing to work their hardest, who I didn’t want to be rude to, and to our office… and have decided that on March 27th I will be leaving Hi:BRiD.
If you ask me, JILL is like my always funny older brother, Zero is someone who can rely on, who doesn’t lose his cool no matter what happens, and Kisara is the always lovely, mood maker… I am truly grateful that I was able to meet these amazing members and work in a band with them.
I’m not sure if I’ll continue on in music after this….
When I feel like I really want to do something, I’ll do whatever it takes to head in that direction.
I am truly sorry to all of your who support me that things have come to be leaving the band…
Hi:BRiD will continue on with more and more activities, and I’ll be glad if they’ll me keep up with them.
There aren’t many lives left that I’ll be taking part in, but I don’t want things to end on a sad note, so I hope that we can make these last lives even better than before.
I’ve only been in the band a short time, but to all of the fans who support us, to everyone concerned with the band, and of course to JILL, Zero and Kisara… I truly thank you.
JILL, Zero and Kisara’s comment on the OHP was as follows:
Although it’s sudden, on March 27th Kiki will be leaving the band.
At the beginning of January, we were told about KikI’s intentions. After that, we had numerous discussions, and from the outcome of those we realized that our feelings on the type of music we want to do, and also the roads that we want to take have become divided.
For this reason, we had to keep facing our feelings, and be honest about it no matter what.
However, time isn’t something that waits for you, so with everyone’s troubles, we arrived at this decision.
There’s only a little time left [with Kiki in the band], but we hope that we can reveal only the soud of the four of us, and even if it’s one person or many people, we want to be burned in the memory of your eyes and ears.
Finally, to all of the fans who have been supporting us, we are truly sorry that it seems as if we have betrayed you.
Now, both GTR and DragonWAPPPPPPER will be walking down different paths, but hopefully you can continue to support us both.
missconducts-news
As you all know, Tsubaki has left missconduct, however he will be replaced by a support musician until the 24th of April.
Apparently, however, the guitarist daiki has decided to leave the band as well, and here is his comment about that decision:
Today was our gig at Takadanobaba AREA!
I hope you all enjoyed it!
As today was also Tsubaki ’s last gig, we really put our all into it.
Although he’s no longer a member he’s still going act as a supporting member for us until 24th April, so it’s not like we’re saying good bye yet.
Plus, it was decided quite a while back.
And, as I announced at the gig, I will also be leaving the band after our gig on the 24th April.
This was discussed and decided with the other band members about 3 months ago,
but I made the official announcement [of my leave] today.
My reasons for leaving are….probably how my different thoughts and values clashed with the rest of the band.
I’ll be sad for not being able to see you all [the fans at gigs] again, but I hope you’ll continue to support me until the end. m(__)m
Let’s see each other at the next gig!
Anyway, that’s not all news from these guys. Although they were planning to release 「Endless loop spiral」 at the end of last year, it has now been cancelled.「The fate in roulette」 will go on sale on 24th April under at their first anniversary sponsored event, which will take place at at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU. The other bands which will be participating are: 緊縛少女 (Kinbaku Shoujou), オリガミ (Origami), 彼岸花 (Higanbana), エザリー (Eatherly), 革命響団☆世界『制服』 (Kakumei Hibiki Dan☆Sekai 『Seifuku』)
You can get the ticket to that live after the band’s live on the 24th of March. Those who get these tickets, will enter the free event as the first ones and then those without it.
They have stated that that event will end the first era of the band, probably since they’re losing the members, as previously mentioned.
aigis-down-one
アイギス (Aigis) has announced that 神無 (Kanna) had left the band, not even performing for their first official live ! The following announcement was posted on the band’s OHP:
Although the gig on the 14th was right in front of us, as of today, the drummer Kanna has left the band. We sincerely apologise to our fans and to those who have supported us so far.
He had in the past announced to the other members that he wanted to quit, and so it came to the fact that he would continue on until the summer, however, as of the 5th February we were unable to get in contact with him, and though we even visited his home we were not able to meet with him.
A few days later, we received an e-mail from him saying, “I don’t have the motivation to carry on [with the band]“, and as of then we have lost contact with him. After a discussion with the other members, it was decided with great regret that he would no longer be a part of us.
We will, nonetheless, continue our planned gigs and performances, so we wish for you not to worry.
We realise that this is a big incident to be happening before we have even done our first gig [as of our revival], and as a result we are deeply embarrassed and sincerely sorry.
We would like to pull ourselves together after such a blunder, and we hope that you will continue to support us.
We know that this has been a selfish action on our own accord and incredibly sudden news, but we ask for your kind understanding.
We wholeheartedly apologise for the inconvenience caused to those involved and to all our fans.
From now on, the band will have to look for a new drummer. Until then, Tumi (ex-CELL HEAD ; now in LOKI) will perform as their support drummer.
the-romeo-loses-shingo
As of February 6th, THE ROMEO has lost their drummer Shingo. The band has posted an announcement from Shingo himself on their OHP.
An announcement to all of our fans
Since June of last year, I’m sorry that I’ve been causing all of the fans and those connected to the band all the trouble and worry.
Today, I, Shingo Maekawa, decided to leave THE ROMEO.
If I could have, I’d have loved to been able to restart activities in the band from the February tour, however, I’m really sorry that things have turned out like this.
Futhermore, our support drummer, Tadashi Okamoto will continue on playing support for the band for the February and March performances.
I hope that you can support him the same way that you would have supported me.
From here on, when I finally recover, I will start drumming again from the beginning so that I can experience all sorts of different types of music.
I’ll work my hardest so that someday, I can share my music with you all.
I can’t apologize enough for being so selfish, but I hope that you can understand my decision.
Shingo Maekawa
