X JAPAN Aims for 2014 World Tour

Natalie.mu has some very, very exciting news for us today!
Today, members of X JAPAN attended the grand opening of Madame Tussauds in Tokyo. Madame Tussauds is a famous doll-making company that specializes in making life-size figures of celebrities.
All members (PATA, HEATH, Yoshiki, Toshi, and SUGIZO) are pictured above with their life-size figures.
At this rare and long-awaited press conference, the members discussed their activities and plans for the future. In addition to their solo activities, each member has been working on material for X JAPAN.
When asked specifically about upcoming activities, Yoshiki was quoted as saying, “It will probably happen sometime next year, but we’re planning our second full-scale world tour. We’ve been having a lot of meetings about it.”
The members were then asked which countries they most wanted to visit. Vocalist Toshi answered, “I want to try going to Indonesia.” SUGIZO’s response was, “I want to visit Islamic countries.” “I want to go where we went before. I also want to go someplace cold and someplace hot, haha,” bassist HEATH said. PATA, on the other hand, only left us with, “I’ll leave it up to someone else!”
After the opening ceremony, a short question-and-answer session took place. Yoshiki said, “We really want to participate in festivals in addition to our world tour, but our shows are really tough on us both mentally and physically.”
He also explained, while laughing, “Since we toured last time without even an album, we were thinking of bringing like business cards along with us. We’ve really wanted to release an album since the band got back together, haha. We should have released an album before releasing our dolls!”
So, there you have it, X fans! It looks like 2014 will have a lot in store for you!

Black Gene For the Next Scene PV Recruiting

Here is the continuation of The Grand Update post that was made earlier.
For the PV of their upcoming maxi single, “CHANGE TO CHANCE,” Black Gene is looking for YOUR help to film it!
The band is taking applications from fans to star in the filming on June 5th, from 18:00~21:00 (around).
The filming will be around Shibuya, but the exact place has not been revealed.
All you need to do to apply is send your name, age, and current area of residence to ctcpv@blackgene.net with the subject line: 「エキストラ希望」.
If a large number of people apply, participating fans will be chosen by lottery. The application period ends on midnight (JST) on May 19th, so hurry! Winners will be notified on or after May 20th.
If selected, all you need to bring are clothes that are easy to move around in and a Black Gene towel.

Introducing: VAMPIRE ROSE

Here’s something out of the ordinary, even when it comes to Visual Kei.
This band has been around since the summer of 2012, but since we have not introduced them on Shattered Tranquility yet, this is being filed under an introduction post.
VAMPIRE ROSE is the solo project of Count ROSE, who is actually the chief of a themed restaurant in Ginza called Vampire Cafe. Support members are from different bands. They have had a few lives this year already, but they will be having their first one-man event on April 29th at Birth Shinjuku, followed by a dinner party at Christon Cafe in Tokyo. A big announcement is planned for that day, so if you’re interested, you’d better go!

AYABIE Welcomes a New Member to the Band! Introducing: Taito!

If you watched AYABIE’s airing on their Nico channel (Yes! They have an official Nico channel now) on the 24th of this month, you would know that they had special news for all their fans– a new member would be joining them! AYABIE fans, please welcome Taito on the keyboard.
Taito is not present in the picture, but if you search up “AYABIE Taito” on the search engines, you’ll find quite a few screenshots of him from the broadcast floating around.
AYABIE’s OHP has yet to be updated with Taito’s profile, but here’s a lovely message from him (translated by Elena from S-T’s translation staff).
Nice to meet you.
I’m AYABIE’s keyboardist, Taito.Please let me say a few things.
I first met AYABIE last September,
during their ANSWER tour.Because they were looking for a keyboardist, I had a meeting with all the members.
After that, we decided to try a session, and at the tour final rehearsal at EAST, I was able to play with them in two songs, “Niji” and “season.”
At that time, I remember thinking from the bottom of my heart that music is really fun.Until now, as a support musician I’ve performed behind various artists, but I never felt any of those times were as fun as this.
I was able to participate in the tour final, and after that for several sessions I was allowed to stand on the same stage as a support member.For me to really become a member of the band, we had so many meetings over and over again to make sure the feeling was mutual.
As for myself, I really liked the music of AYABIE, and the members of AYABIE also had a thought towards me, so I really got the feeling that I was needed.
And now, as a member I can officially make this announcement.
It’s such a sudden announcement, we must have really surprised all the fans.I think everyone is having various thoughts, regarding AYABIE and regarding myself.
But I think I want to firmly catch everyone’s feelings, and as the keyboardist of AYABIE I want to deliver wonderful music.
I will always, always treasure not only the band, but all of AYABIE’s fans also.
From here on, please continue to treat the 5-member AYABIE well.In any case, on March 19, we’ll be waiting at Shibuya O-EAST!

VAMPS Changes to Universal Music

In a shocking report, VAMPS their label change to Universal Music‘s “Delicious Deli Records” Label on their home page! They also announced their cooperation with Live Nation, a touring company that has helped famous bands (Madonna, U2, and Lady Gaga, just to name a few) tour the world. VAMPS is the first Japanese rock band to make this serious advancement into the world with the help of Live Nation.
Along with the label change, VAMPS also released information on their 「VAMPS LIVE 2012」 DVD and Blu-ray that will go on sale on April 24th! It will be released in 3 versions.
The Blu ray edition costs ￥7800 and includes two DVDs. The special DVD edition is ￥6600 and includes 2 DVDs. The regular edition, containing just one DVD, is ￥4500. The DVDs contain footage of live performances of tracks like MEMORIES, DEVIL SIDE, ANGEL TRIP, VAMPIRE DEPRESSION, etc.
Full track lists and cover art have not been released yet, but keep checking back as we learn more details both about this exciting label change and DVD release (including preorder links)!

GREAT news for DuelJewel fans!
Last March 2012, Hayato took a hiatus from all band activities in order to receive medical treatment.
He updated his blog with the exciting announcement that he would resume activities as a member of DuelJewel!

And also, we were finally able to announce my return to the stage.
It’s just like what was said in the MC yesterday, but we also wanted to convey this announcement directly from the five members. T.M.R x ???: Otakon 2013!

Very exciting news for US fans! 10 years ago, T. M. Revolution performed at Otakon and this year he will be attending again to celebrate Otakon’s 20th anniversary! Otakon 2013 is from August 9th-11th, and T. M. Revolution will be performing Saturday night. And to add to the excitement…T. M. Revolution “will not be alone!” He will be performing with another mystery musical guest. The guest will probably be revealed as the convention date approaches! So, any of you excited for Otakon? And any guesses to what T. M. R. x ??? will be? A lot of fans are mentioning an artist (who isn’t part of the Vkei-scene) named Daisuke Asakura!

MUCC Shangri-la x Woman in Black Event

On November 28th, MUCC will be releasing their new album ｢シャングリラ」 (Shangri-la). To commemorate this, as well as MUCC’s “G.G” being used as the theme for Woman in Black, MUCC is holding a special public event!
One day before the release, on November 27th, customers who purchase the album from certain stores can participate in an event taking place at Shinjuku Station Square from about 12:00pm onwards. In order of first arrival, fans can receive a postcard signed by one of the members (chosen at random). This postcard also acts as a ticket to enter a lottery to be a viewer of their Nico Nico live performance taking place later that evening at Harajuku Astro Hall! The performance will start around 7:00pm.
There will also be a series of fun events planned for that day, including a photo corner. No details on what else might happen, though!
Stores where you can purchase the new album will be announced on November 22nd, so stick around until we find out!

Well here’s some news today! It appears, in accordance with their tenth anniversary this coming year, DEATHGAZE will be opening a fanclub!

Now that SCREW has gone major, their live activities are increasing!
In addition to their current XANADU tour, the band has announced a few oneman shows and events.
First is the announcement of two shows in the same day, titled 「プラチナイトショー」 (Platinum Night Show). They will take place on December 23rd at Takadanobaba AREA. Tickets will be ￥4000 advance/￥4500 at the door, and regular ticket sales start on December 1st.
Next, SCREW will be holding an event called 「ROYAL NIGHT SHOW」 on January 20th at Takadanobaba AREA. What makes it so special? Well, the dress code is to wear jerseys/tracksuits! Tickets for this will be ￥3800 advance/￥4300 at the door. A regular ticket sales date has not been announced yet, so keep checking back if you want to go!

Also, as an interesting note, it was recently announced that MUCC will be providing a song for the upcoming Japanese release of the British horror movie, Woman in Black. G.G. (otherwise known as Gothic Girl) will be used as an image song during the movie, and an additional music video will also be released later. Miya left this message on their official Facebook regarding the news!
It’s a great honor to have our song chosen for the Japanese image song of this film. Hard rock or metal bands often make image songs for horror films abroad, so I’ve always had an aspiration to do such a collaboration. Now I’m happy to have achieved that.
This film is a hard and serious horror film so do enjoy it.

9GOATS’ essential oils and pens

This is one type of goods that I never thought I’d see visual bands dip into, but here we have it!
9GOATS BLACK OUT have released their own set of essential oils, called “3 BRIGHT GARDENS”. They decided to create these oils due to requests from fan filled out surveys, where fans asked for goods such as aroma candles, incense or perfume. 9
Teaming up with Charis Seijou, who owns herbal shops in Japan, the members of 9GOATS BLACK OUT were able to make their own scents. The oils are 100% organic, high in quality, and safe to use. Their aromas are good for both the heart and body. The oils can be used in a diffuser, diluted and used on the skin, in lotion or cream, with bath salts or soaps, for aroma candles, as incense, or as perfume.
The members each chose their own favourite aromas. There are two floral scents, plus one citrus. The oils are sold as a three piece set, each bottle containing 5ml, for a total of 8000 yen.

ryo’s blend “SALOME”
This rose based blended oil is recommended for when you are looking to keep balance within your heart.
The fragrance will bring you happiness, and with it’s elegant and refined scent, it will make you feel like a queen.
● When you want to have good dreams
uta’s blend “Sleeping Beauty”
A lavender oil blend for relaxation.
Recommended for when you feel anxious, and want to relax.
Get lots of sleep, and become beautiful.
● When you want to feel energetic
hati’s blend 「天使」 (Angel)
A citrus blend (grapefruit base) that is great for making you feel refreshed.
This oil is recommended for when you want to change your mood, or you want to calm down.
It will help you regain your energy.
Along with releasing their own set of essential oils, the members are also putting out 9GOATS BLACK OUT pens in three different colours.
● Russian Light Blue (recommended colour)
● Japanese Gold (recommended, it’s even easy to use at work)
● Pink
While the pens themselves are different colours, the ink is black in all. They’re easy to write with, and easy to hold. They also have a hole on the clip so that fans can attach a strap or keychain if they like.
The ink is easy to replace, making them long lasting. Some fans also complained about the logo of their previous pens wearing off, so Zoisite suggests (buying a new one) putting a clear coat of nailpolish over the logo to help it last, but at your own risk.
The pens will be available starting at their event on October 17th, and cost 300 yen each.
