2 live-distributed CDs

Ok, this topic deals with two bands and I could have separated both but as it’s the same kind of news, I chose to post all at once !
Here you go for the the actual news : 鬼畜一家 (Kichiku Ikka) and 己龍 (Kiryu) will be both be distributing CDs very soon !
On December 3rd, Kichiku Ikka will be releasing it’s very first CD at HOLIDAY Osaka, it’ll be entitled 「片想い。」 (Kataomoi).
As for Kiryu, it will be their 3rd live-distributed CD ! I haven’t found the title yet, but it will be limited to 150 copies !

Angelo on Anime Network

Angelo has been getting some tv air time for their pv He is a monkey. The band’s unique pv has been playing on the Anime Network in between shows - it came to a shock to me to see it while flipping through channels. BUT its really cool that bands are starting to make appearances on tv overseas! If you have the channel - check their pv out! (The channel is based in Houston Tx, but should be available to digital cable viewers)

ARUSTOROMERIA has a really cute New Year’s project planned!
They’re sending out New Year’s cards to all the fans who request it! All you need to do is send your name and address to the specified e-mail address on their site, and when you receive a confirmation you know that come the turn of the New Year, it’ll be on it’s way!
However, I should add that it does not say whether or not they will send overseas.

All Dir en grey fans can check out an iTunes excluse STUDIO LIVE CLIP for the band’s song, 「凱歌、沈黙が眠る頃」 (Gaika, Chinmoku Nemuru koro) which is off their new album, 「UROBOROS」.

Parade at Like an Edison

The boys from Parade are going to be working at three Like an Edison shops for an hour!
On December 27th they’ll be at Like an Edison in Tokyo, on the 28th in Nagoya and on the 29th on Osaka. Each shift starts at 5:00 and lasts until 6:00. Those who buy their single that’s coming out on the 17th, 「the other side of paradeis」 will be able to have one item signed by the members, and receive a speical photograph present.

Moran PV & Anniversary Oneman

Moran’s new single 君のいた五線譜 (Kimi no Ita Gozenfu) was released today!

12012 calling for extras

12012 is looking for fans to become extras in the shooting of their newest music video!
The extras will be acting as a live audience for the video, and the shooting takes place on December 3rd starting at 5:00pm for approximately three to four hours.
The location will be in Tokyo’s Suginami Ward, and they’re taking applications starting on November 25th at 8:00pm. The ending time will be decided depending on how many entries they receive.
Those who are chosen will be notified on the 26th.

Homura is back !

As you may know, 焔 (Homura) has been in activity pause for quite a long time after multiple departures… they progressivly found new members and the line up is now complete with the arrival of Syunjyu on drums !
Here they are ! What do you think ?
Beside this, the band has announced they will be sponsoring 2 events ! The first one , [Death PARADE-2008-], will take place on December 25th at Urawa Narciss, while the second one, [Newborn PARADE-2009-], is scheduled for January 25th at Takadanobaba AREA.
Of course, they will also play in other awesome events, the first one being on November 19th with : Jewel, SIVA, ダウナー (Downer), JIVE, 己龍 (Kiryu), and dis C.

CELLT who are doing early release of their new single 『キミノ欠片～kakera～』 (kimi no kakera~kakera~) at their one-man, as we mentioned here.
Well, at their 11.16 HARAJUKU ASTRO HALL One-man 『CELLT[GRAND BAZAR]～新&旧、名(迷)曲達が勢揃い!?～』 (CELLT[GRAND BAZAR]～New & old, named tracks are at full force!?～), if you buy the new single, plus an older release (CD or PV) then you get what they are calling privilege W. Reita + Yamashita = SNAKED LOWS

Reita from the GazettE has teamed up with DEAL DESIGN’s Yamashita for the collaboration brand, 【SNAKED LOWS】!
The two of them have been planning the brand for about ten months now, and have finally created their first item; a bracelet. The design incorporates an iron cross, which has deep significance to both of the designers plus the S mark and snake which are used to as icons for their brand. To mark the brand, they’ve created a bracelet will come packaged in an accessory box and come with an original sticker. Those who order theirs before the end of 2008 will also receive a snaked lows bandanna.
They began taking reservations at the beginning of the month and will start sending the shipments out on the 20th of the month. The bracelet costs 39,900 yen (roughly $405 USD).
On the site they also have the story of SNAKED LOWS plus further information on the design of the SNAKED LOWS bracelet. The brand started in February of 2008 when Reita and Yamashita decided to create a collaboration brand.
In April, using inspiration from the “Cross Guard Brace” and “Hell’s Guitar” design that Reita had loved for many years, the SNAKED LOW bracelet was designed and the first samples were made. However, if they were going to create a new brand, Reita felt that there would have to be a different nuance with DEAL in there and they therefore worked together and added the 「S」 icon into the design.
Below are photos of the “Cross Guard Brace” (priced at 47,250 yen; $480 USD) and “Hell’s Guitar” (priced at 99,750 yen; $1015 USD).
In June of 2008 the second sample was completed. However, being particular fussy about the T-bar (which fastens the bracelet together), Reita changed it from the right side to the left. Furthermore, so it could easily be worn during lives, they made the width of the t-bar slightly longer. Yamashita, sticking to the classic style of DEAL DESIGNS, had the idea of placing the crosses on either side of the t-bar. At last, their design was complete.
Finally, in August the final touches were added with the creation of the accessory box and extra novelties. The novelty design and logo were both made solely by Reita.
On the origin of the brand name, SNAKED LOWS comes from SNAKE + NAKED, and they chose the SNAKE part as to be “insistent like a snake; never giving up”. NAKED, because you’re “naked (as in, wearing no accessories) and want an up-grade”. LOWS comes Reita being a bassist, and the low sound that the instrument makes, and they also added in that the LOWS also incorporates the enthusiasm of “wanting to turn things around from the bottom”.
Before they decided on SNAKED LOWS, they were going to name the band BOTTOMS NAKED.

I do have to say that that was a good decision on the name change bit. SNAKED LOWS definitely sounds better than BOTTOMS NAKED. BOTTOMS NAKED makes me think of spankings, or something. O_O

For their 「NYAPPY GO AROUND LOVE&GUN」 tour, Antic Cafe has decided to let the fans choose the setlists!
So the members are going to choose a list of ‘candidates’ and fans will get to decide by voting which ones they want to hear. Both their fan club members and fans not in the fan club are able to particpate and the polls should be up on their site in a few days.

Kaya designs…nails?

Thats right people, Kaya is now offering nail art at his shop. He teamed up with Addict Nail Tip to design and produced these nails. They have a rose and cross design and contain Sworwsky crystals. The nails are also 100% made in Japan. There are 2 types you can pick from. A normal size that usually fits the average nails on girls, the price is 3,800 yen and then there is the more pricey type. The more pricey type is the size that Kaya uses - also if you buy this type your name gets to be put into a drawing. Five names will be picked and the winners will get a cardboard nail mount that Kaya will sign for the winners. This type is 4,800 yen!

SID updates

There’s a few pieces of news for SID!
First up, they’ll be releasing a new single on January 14th! The title and tracklist is not yet available, but the details will be released at a later date.
They’ve also planned their spring tour of 2009 called 「サクラサク」 (Sakura Saku) that will consist of thriteen performances and cost 5500 yen. Details are as follows:

Kalvary’s new single

Kalvary, who announced their first single of 2009, has released a few more details on it!
The single will be titled 「～Mystirudom Lips～」 and contains two tracks; the title track plus a second called 「トランジスタ」 (Transistor) for 1260 yen.
The boys will also be working at the Like an Edison in Tokyo on January 11th for one hour (2 - 3pm). Those who purchase 「～Mystirudom Lips～」 on that day, can get the CD jacket signed by the members.

HYDE and Gackt do Halloween

Now here’s one I honestly can say I never saw coming…
The following is a translation of an article that was originally posted on Oricon. All the photos will enlarge, just click.
On October 31st at ZEPP Tokyo, VAMPS (lead by rock band L’Arc~en~Ciel’s vocalist HYDE), sponsored a Halloween event, welcoming Gackt as a special guest. This is the first time HYDE and Gackt have performed together on stage, and they cosplayed, dressed in a bridal costume and military uniform.
Furthermore, BREAKERS, which is lead by DAIGO and Anna Tsuchiya also made appearances wearing Halloween costumes, and it became a one night only costume party.
The livehouse was filled with concert-goers adorning maid, and gothic lolita costumes giving off a Halloween-like mood. The starting act of the night was BREAKER’s “Obaka Unit・Shuuchishin”, making their debut with a Shuuchishin cover. Next up was Anna Tsuchiya who captivated the audience by showing the costumes she wore as Ichigo Shirayuri in the Kamikaze Girls film.
Decorated like a bird (yes, it says bird), HYDE appeared in a wedding dress stained with blood that gave off the image of a dead bride who had risen from the dead. With the fans shouting out shrill cries of, “CUUUUTEEE”, HYDE, swaying back and forth giving him a womanly appearance replied, “It seems like you like this [kind of look], I should make it a habit!”. VAMPS first song out of a total of ten songs was 「LOVE ADDICT」 and guitarist K.A.Z, with his vehement sound, was singing enthusiastically.
For the encore, the performers all gathered on the stage for a one time only session band. The special guest, Gackt, come running on, exchanging a warm hug wth HYDE. Although they worked together in the 2003 movie, “MOON CHILD”, this was the first time for the pair to perform together on stage.
The last song was Motley Crue’s, “Shout at the devil” and with HYDE taking the vocalist, Gackt played the drums for the first time at a public event, bringing to a close this once a year festival.
