Their first live took place on February 27th at Ikebukuro BlackHole, and they’re already starting off with a mission! They’ll be releasing a new single on March 6th, title 「東京ジャンキー」(Tokyo Junkie). It’ll come in two types, a Red Disk and Blue Disk, both costing ￥1000. Each version will come with either a PV for 東京ジャンキー, or “Deep Blue.”
東京ジャンキー [赤盤] (Tokyo Junkie [Red Disk]) – ￥1000
2. 狼少年 (Ookami Shounen)
東京ジャンキー [青盤] (Tokyo Junkie [Blue Disk]) – ￥1000
2. ピーターパン症候群 (Peter Pan Shoukougun)
Currently there’s one instore scheduled for the release, which will take place on March 9th at Ikebukuro Brand X. We’ll be sure to keep you updated about them in the future!
Dolly, whom recently went on hiatus at the turn of the year, have announced that they’ll be releasing a new DVD from the last live before their pause.
Did any of our readers attend that live? Are you planning on buying the DVD?
So far, there has only been a tweet about this concert by DAIGO himself. But it seems like he is planning for an one day revival of his solo act DAIGO☆STARDUST! According to his tweet, it will be held on July 12th at C.C. Lemon Hall.
More information about DAIGO☆STARDUST’s one day revival will be updated.
If you watched AYABIE’s airing on their Nico channel (Yes! They have an official Nico channel now) on the 24th of this month, you would know that they had special news for all their fans– a new member would be joining them! AYABIE fans, please welcome Taito on the keyboard.
Taito is not present in the picture, but if you search up “AYABIE Taito” on the search engines, you’ll find quite a few screenshots of him from the broadcast floating around.
AYABIE’s OHP has yet to be updated with Taito’s profile, but here’s a lovely message from him (translated by Elena from S-T’s translation staff).
Nice to meet you.
I’m AYABIE’s keyboardist, Taito.
Please let me say a few things.
I first met AYABIE last September,
during their ANSWER tour.
Because they were looking for a keyboardist, I had a meeting with all the members.
After that, we decided to try a session, and at the tour final rehearsal at EAST, I was able to play with them in two songs, “Niji” and “season.”
At that time, I remember thinking from the bottom of my heart that music is really fun.
Until now, as a support musician I’ve performed behind various artists, but I never felt any of those times were as fun as this.
I was able to participate in the tour final, and after that for several sessions I was allowed to stand on the same stage as a support member.
For me to really become a member of the band, we had so many meetings over and over again to make sure the feeling was mutual.
As for myself, I really liked the music of AYABIE, and the members of AYABIE also had a thought towards me, so I really got the feeling that I was needed.
And now, as a member I can officially make this announcement.
It’s such a sudden announcement, we must have really surprised all the fans.
I think everyone is having various thoughts, regarding AYABIE and regarding myself.
But I think I want to firmly catch everyone’s feelings, and as the keyboardist of AYABIE I want to deliver wonderful music.
I will always, always treasure not only the band, but all of AYABIE’s fans also.
From here on, please continue to treat the 5-member AYABIE well.
In any case, on March 19, we’ll be waiting at Shibuya O-EAST!
I hope it becomes a fantastic time.
As he mentioned, Taito will be making an appearance at Shibuya O-EAST on March 19 with Yumehito, Kenzo, Intestsu and Takehito. This live show also marks the end of their live hiatus that they went on about half a year ago. Here are the details, if you are interested in attending!
2013/03/19 AYABIE『Five Stars “EAST”er』
Performance Date: 3/19/2013 (Tuesday)
Venue: Shibuya O-EAST
Ticket: All standing
-￥3,500 in advance/￥4,000 at the door
-Drinks are ￥500
That’s about it! What do you think about the news? About Taito! I know a lot of fans think it is sudden news! AYABIE did mention that they were on a live hiatus so they could focus on creating better music. Perhaps Taito is their answer to that!

What happens when you sell out of tickets?

This one was unexpected, and unfortunately it’s another to add onto our ever-growing list. Announced today, BLACK CAT, three months after losing their drummer Shintaro, have decided to disband this April.
Notice of BLACK CAT’s disbandment
Thank you very much for supporting BLACK CAT for all this time.
At this time, we would like to announce that after holding our one-man performance【re:union of the BLACK】on April 14, 2013, BLACK CAT will be disbanding.
To those who have supported us from our formation until today, as well as to everyone connected to us, we would like to express our deepest gratitude and apologies.
There is only a short time left until we disband, but we as members of BLACK CAT will do our best with everything we have, so we would like to ask for your continued support until the very end.
Lion Kento Zeno Makoto
Their last live, as stated above, will take place on April 14th at Shinjuku RUIDO K4. 「LAST ONEMAN 【re:union of the BLACK】」will cost ￥3000 (￥3500 day of) to attend, and tickets went on sale on February 22nd; e+ will begin on March 1st.
We haven’t reported on these guys in a long while, have we? Announced earlier in the month, パノラマ虚構ゼノン (Panorama Kyokou Xenon) will be releasing a new mini album in March.
1. ブラッディ・メアリ (Bloody Mary)
3. パラダイムキル (Paradigm Kill)
5. ノエル (Noel)
Wanna hear a preview? They’ve posted a trailer for the entire album on their website!
BORN is having a three month consecutive release, starting on May 29th with the release of a live DVD titled “BORN THIS WAY～LIVE & DOCUMENT from TOUR 2013 ‘Devilish of the PUNK’～.” The live DVD is ￥4,200. After that, “Honesty”, a single, will be released on June 12 and the last item of the three month consecutive release is another single, titled “Mother” and will be released on July 3.
Both singles come in a limited and regular edition. The limited edition includes a CD+DVD and is priced at ￥2,625. The regular edition is CD only, and is priced at ￥1,575.
Such exciting news! What are you planning on getting? All three items? Just the singles?
And here’s a little bonus trivia– Ryouga’s (Vo.) birthday is on July 3rd. Coincidence? Maybe they’re planning something? Hmm…!
Remember in late January when we mentioned Dog in the Parallel World Orchestra would be releasing two new singles? Today, they’ve updated with more details, and will also be participating in a label tour later this year.

Hey guys! It’s been a while–but I know you’ve all missed good ol’ Big Ern and his random posts of Awesome.
Today’s Random Fact answers a question all us V-Kei fans ask at least once: What the heck happens to bandguys when their band disbands? Now, while I now spend my time lavishing away under the sun with a bowl of delicious carrots, not all bandguys follow in my footsteps. Last week we covered the “average Japanese lifestyle” of bandguys-to-salarymen… but this week it just isn’t so.
Anyone remember Remming ? They disbanded back in 2011 and the Singer, Sou, disappeared off the face of the planet…
It seems Sou has popped back onto Ameblo recently and announced that he now works at a brand new Host Club Called “Nine” (or Nin9) down in Kabuki-cho, Shinjuku. That’s right– for the right amount of money, you can share drinks and smiles with him. He’s also put up some pictures of him at work, so check it out!
Big Ern just wants to remind you to be careful with host clubs, ladies and gents. Not everyone is as entertaining as me~!
A message surfaced online this morning announcing that the band’s equipment car was involved in an accident on its way to the Urawa Narciss live. Everyone seems to be okay, but naturally, their appearance has been cancelled. Jackman’s Roi posted the above photo at 10:30 am, an hour after the announcement was posted on member blogs today, February 23rd (Japan time):
We have something to report to everyone who has always supported Jackman.
Today, on the expressway on the way to Urawa we were involved in an equipment car accident.
Luck has it that members and staff have only minor injuries, but we have cancelled today’s performance, “Roku Toshi Visual Station” at Urawa Narciss in order to assess the damage and doctors’ diagnoses.
We will announce whether or not the live at Birth Shinjuku on the 25th of this month will happen at a later time.
We are sorry for betraying the hopes of everyone who had been looking forward to this.
Please continue to support us from here on out as well.
Planet CHILD Music Co. Ltd.
Roi also added, in his own post:
We had a wreck along the way （；＿；）
I was super surprised and even now it doesn’t feel real, but miraculously, everyone is safe （；＿；）
Y-san was carried off in an ambulance but he seems okay anyway…
I’ll post again when things have settled
It’s certainly a relief to know the everyone is all right. We’ll do our best to keep everyone updated of the situation.
OROCHI will have a European tour in March, which also will be YUKIMURA’s last tour with OROCHI. On top of that, they will release a mini-album as European edition. More information about the mini-album will be updated soon.

Unfortunately there is no bandpicture yet available, but this new band might have some members you already have heard about. Nobady exists out of four members, and will hold their very first live at March 13th in SHIBUYA REX.

Guitar: kz (ex.[Rem])
Bass: Mizuki[瑞稀] (ex-the VallQrude/ as TETSUYA)

It appears we haven’t introduced this band yet! Formed in late 2012, ブレーメン (Bremen) have already released two singles, and are planning to release three more starting this March.
Their first single “cherry light” was released on August 8th, and their DVD Single “Useless Regret,” dropped soon after. Currently, they’re planning a three-month consecutive release ranging from March to May! Not much is known regarding each release, but the first of the set, “bloom” will drop sometime in March. We’ll keep you updated when more becomes available.
They also have a series of lives set up for the coming future! Each event will cost ￥3000 to attend.

Here is a fun promotion for some Alice Nine fans!
Now, many of you are probably quite familiar with Ameba Blog, Japan’s premier blogging service. Though many Japanese celebrities have taken to Twitter, Ameblo remains the dominant way for fans to keep in touch with their favorite artists’ daily goings-on. One unique feature of Ameba’s blog sites is a mini-sim world called Pigg that was initially built as an avatar-based chat universe but has now expanded to include a variety of mini-games. If you have Facebook, an equivalent of this program named Pico has been released as a Facebook game aimed at international users.
What makes Ameba Pigg fairly unique is the degree to which it has been adopted by the Japanese entertainment industry as the social media outlet, so much so that Pigg occasionally hosts live streams of interviews at Ameba Studio, has regular collaborations with numerous celebrities – big and small, niche and mainstream -, and hosts music channels as well. Artists like AKB48, Ayumi Hamasaki, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, are among the recent endorsers, to name a few, and in the visual world, PS Company bands such as the GazettE have given fans a chance to mimic them with Pigg costumes numerous times in the recent past. Ameba’s celebrity connection thus goes beyond merely offering a platform for celebrities to blog and interact with fans.
This time around, however, the target audience will be Alice Nine fans.
The usual schedule of promotion when musical acts are involved is as follows: Pigg builds a special area where fans can get together and chat but also buy virtual band goods designed by or somehow evocative of their idol. Sometimes they go as far as creating costumes and wigs to let fans “cospigg” their favorite members, which an be purchased with ameG, Ameba’s in-game currency that is equivalent to yen. Increasingly, these special areas will stream a video on a simulated screen or will have sample of a new single playing in the background.
In eager anticipation of their upcoming series of three consecutive single releases, beginning with March 20th’s Daybreak, Alice Nine‘s promotion is going a step further.
Last year, Ameba Pigg staff had created special Alice Nine areas to commemorate their February 2012 full-length release, 9. But instead of just one, they created eleven different areas where you can sample all of the tracks from 9. In addition to offering various costumes for fans to buy, they even created some familiar furitsuke (choreography) actions that, once bought, could be performed by your own Pigg avatar with a simple click. What’s more, they also included a gacha, or capsule machine, where you could take a chance and “spin” the dial in hopes of getting an item of your choice. Ameba really iced the cake when promoting Alice Nine, but they do not seem keen to stop there.
Taking all of this into consideration, Ameba put together a contest involving the virtual merchandise and Alice Nine themselves. If fans meet certain qualifying criteria, they can be entered into a lottery to live-chat with a member of the band!
The criteria are as follows:
Step 1. Buy at least 2 qualifying hair pieces and at least 1 qualifying costume
Step 2. Turn the Alice Nine gacha at least 3 times.
Step 3. Buy the uchiwa [hand fan] [of your chosen member] as your chat raffle ticket.
Among those who complete all three of the above steps, 150 people will be chosen at random to live chat with the members of Alice Nine.
*30 people per member, respectively.
February 14, 2013 (THU) 1:00 PM JST – February 20, 2013 (WED) 11:59PM JST
◆Notification of Winners
February 27, 2013 (WED) (scheduled)
*Winners will be contacted by Alice Nine’s staff blog (ID: alicenine-official).
◆Schedule of Live Chat
March 14, 2013 (THU)
Unfortunately, participating is going to require spending real money, as most of the ways to acquire ameG require spending real cash: loading ameG directly to your account using a credit card or convenience store payment; adding money to your phone bill; collecting points through Rakuten purchases; and so on. If you live in Japan and/or have a functioning cell phone provided by a Japanese provider, you can also make ameG by downloading smartphone apps or inviting friends (who also have Japanese cell phones) to join Ameba.
The cheapest qualifying hair pieces cost 300 ameG, and the cheapest costume is 320 ameG. Completing step 1 alone will already set you back 920 ameG.
Adding to that, each spin of the gacha costs 250 ameG, and you must spin it at least three times to qualify, so there goes another 750 ameG.
Finally, your “raffle ticket” uchiwa costs a comparatively measly 30 ameG.
Altogether, that means you must spend a minimum of 1700 ameG, equal to ¥1700, just for a chance to participate. For ¥1700, you could afford one of the regular editions of the “Daybreak” single and have change left over, or you could come close to buying the limited edition. So it is a substantial sum of money to spend on an intangible item and a minute chance to possibly chat with a member of Alice Nine.
Nonetheless, for those inclined, you’ve still got two, three hours to go wild, pick up one or two of everything, and cross your fingers!
Since these costumes have been available for some time, as has the gacha, if you already own any of the qualifying hair pieces, costumes, or gacha items from an earlier time, it still counts towards your eligibility, provided you don’t forget to buy your uchiwa. However, simply meeting the three criteria does not guarantee you anything more than a chance to be selected. If you want to increase your chances, you can buy multiple of the raffle ticket uchiwa at 30 ameG each (though you cannot be selected for chat with more than one member).
More details (including pictures of the qualifying e-merchandise and more detailed contest rules) are available at the Ameba Pigg’s official staff blog.
How do all you S-T.net readers feel about this? Are there any of you who will be able to participate? If so, let us know! According to the comments on the Pigg staff blog, it seems like Japanese Amebloggers are grumbling about the low number of participants compared to the high cost; others are speculative whether it will really be Alice Nine themselves doing the chat (as opposed to staff members). What are your thoughts?
