Vote for the Opener at J-Rock Explosion 2012

Announced today, Maverick DC Group is holding open voting for their latest event, DANGER CRUE x SHINJUKU LOFT 35th Anniversary PRESENTS J-ROCK EXPLOSION 2012 「華麗なる激情-Splendid Violent Emotion Vol.3」at Ebisu Liquid Room on 2012.7.28. So far, the bands performing consist of ALSDEAD, D.I.D, ギルガメッシュ (Girugamesh), カメレオ (Kameleo), ユナイト (Unite), and Maverick DC All Stars. The event in which the opener will perform is named 「華麗なる登龍門」(Karei naru Toryuumon). Tickets are ￥3500 and are already on sale.
Here’s where you come in! Twelve bands are in the running for the opening act, and Maverick has opened international voting to determine the winner. Web voting will take place form 6.20 to 7.15, and the winner will be announced on July 20th. The bands in the running are!:
トーマス (Thomas), Nemeth, ROUGE, PLUNKLOCK, NAINE, POPCORE, Re;zero, Awake, 少年記 (Shounenki), グレヱテル (Gretel), BLACK CAT, and Gakido.

By ordering any type from Art Cube’s online shop, fans will receive a random cheki of one of the members with a message in that member’s own handwriting. Buyers of all three types get a cheki from their favourite member; for this, the name of that member has to be written in the box marked その他・連絡事項 (sono hoka ・ renrakujikou) on the order form.
July is also the month in which the band’s new tour kicks off, starting with a oneman to celebrate the mini-album release!

Two new albums for emmuree

emmuree has announced their plans for two new releases: their third album and a live album!
No details are known yet, save for their names. The third album bears the title of 『EMURE’E』. As for the live album, it has the same name as their June 17th tour final, 【acute sense】. We’ll keep you updated when more information is available!
The band also has a short tour planned that will take them to Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo!

Buyers of any of these editions will receive a special B2-size poster. The amount of posters are limited, so be quick! Since not all shops (on or offline) carry the poster, they advise you to double-check before making purchase.
Moreover, two special premium lives are planned to celebrate this single! Buyers can participate by filling out the application card included in the first press of either edition of 「sweeToxic」. The winners will be chosen by lottery. The lives are scheduled to take place in Osaka (October 3rd) and Tokyo (October 6), but the name of the venues remain a secret. The subscription period for the lives runs from September 18th to September 24th.

V-ROCK 2012 Rescheduled

V-ROCK FESTIVAL ’12 coordinators have just sent out the following announcement:
Announcement from V-ROCK FESTIVAL
We’d like to inform you that V-ROCK FESTIVAL that was scheduled for this Autumn will be rescheduled.
Festival date will be announced later on the official web site and mail magazine, etc.We will make sure it will be an even more fantastic festival. Thank you and we are hoping for your understanding.
It’s unclear whether the festival will be planned for the winter, next year, or beyond. We’ll be sure to update as soon as anything is announced.

You Leaves DEVI+TEC

A little more bad news for the indies scene: You’s last live with DEVI+TEC will be on June 29th, at which point the band plans to continue activities with a support bassist.
Their official statement reads:
More than ever, thank you deeply for supporting DEVI+TEC.
We have an important notice for everyone.
At this time, after the free mini one-man live on June 29th, it has been decided that bassist You will leave the band for personal reasons.
This is the result of repeated talks among the members.
We apologize from the bottoms of our hearts to the fans who have supported us, as well as the related personnel, for this unfortunate and sudden announcement.
For activities following June 29th, a support member will join for the time being and activities will continue.
There is only a little time remaining but please continue to give us your unrelenting support.

MiD DERACINE to Disband

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about the Sendai band MiD DERACINE, but they’ve been going strong and steady, until recently. Last month, vocalist Hibari announced via Twitter that the band would dissolve, but mentioned no details other than that the announcement would appear on their website shortly. Since then, it indeed has.
At this time, we have received information from Kazuharu that he would like to leave the band for personal reasons.
While considering that activity with different members runs counter to MiD DERACINE’s reason for being active, it has been decided that activities will cease as MiD DERACINE.
We were able to continue activities for a little over three years with with everyone’s support.
The members’ activities will cease after the summer, but we want to share the splendid time remaining with everyone until the last moment.
It’s only a short time, but please give us your best.
MiD DERACINE Hibari, Remu, Itsuki, Kazuharu
We’re not sure if this means that the remaining members will go on to future projects, but here’s hoping.
