Just yesterday, Dir en grey announced details of their 8th studio album [DUM SPIRO SPERO].

DIR EN GREY will release their 8th studio album “DUM SPIRO SPERO” 2 years and 9 months after “UROBOROS” which garnered overwhelming support as the strongest and the maddest record resonating across the globe.

SATSUKI news!!

Okay tons of Satsuki news. First off he is doing this duo project with Tomo of ECHOSTREAM. When I sat down with Satsuki a few years ago for an interview he spoke very highly of Tomo saying they had been friends for awhile and he had been trying to teach Satsuki more English. The new unit is called Moon Stream. Fitting right?!
They will have their first performance in USA at Kin Toki Con (Antic Cafe’s Teruki will also be there *random*) The con runs from June 18th-20th, more info here.
Also Satsuki made a few new posts about his newest release, Innocent.
NEW RELEASE INFORMATION
Satsuki release new single “INNOCENT” on June 27. This is including 2 songs. However, it is web shop for Japan and live venue limited release. We are thinking how we should do so that you can listen that. Please wait a little more.
AND even more cool news, his music is going to be used for a PSP game. The game is called AMNESIA, and will be released on August 18!! The opening theme will be AWAKE UPPER and ending theme will be SYMPATHY.

Amazing for those who are going to FanimeCon this year – just announced that Yoshiki will be one of their guest of honor attendees!
FanimeCon 2011 announces surprise Guest of Honor, Yoshiki. The talented co-founder of X Japan will hold a panel and autograph session in the evening on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the San Jose Convention Center.
Yoshiki and vocalist Toshi formed X Japan (originally named X) in 1982. Since then, X Japan has sold more than 30-million albums, singles and videos, becoming the most successful rock band in Japanese history. The heart of X Japan, Yoshiki has written popular hits such as “I.V.” from Saw IV and “Forever Love” from the X/1999 movie. He also plays drums, piano, guitar, bass, and trumpet. Beyond X Japan, Yoshiki has produced some of Japan’s most influential bands, including Dir En Grey and Glay.
Yoshiki is also an entrepreneur and a true renaissance man. He has a line of jewelry, his own wine, and a line of kimonos. In July, 2010, Yoshiki launched the Yoshiki Foundation America, which has already helped organizations including The Grammy Foundation, Make-a-Wish, and St. Vincent Meals on Wheels. After the March 2011 earthquake in Japan, the foundation has partnered with the Japan America Society of Southern California and is focusing on disaster relief efforts.

Missalina Rei year revival

This is pretty bad ass, Shina (ex NOi’X, moll’e node) updated his blog with some cool news. Seems like Missalina Rei will be reviving for a year starting this November. And the cherry on top of this news, it seems like this won’t be just a one time revival! I think we’ll have to wait and see what the Key Party gang brings to fans!

After posting about Renon I did some research on Yuusuke’s other gig with RealizationZ. They are a new band as well starting up on May 23rd and already have a handful of lives. Their next live is on July 14th at 高田馬場AREA (Takadanobaba AREA).

The official start of Renon is not until May 28th but they already have lives lined up! Their first live will be on May 28th at Shinjuku HOLIDAY at a sponsorship event called Live Life (sponsorship) ｢the first gathering｣ . They will perform with [WilL], Link and a few sessions.

As of May 20th ral has become an official member of RED universe. For those who recognize him he used to be in Cinema [S'trip]! The band also announced from this point on they will be on DUAL VISION label and to celebrate they will be releasing 2 new singles with the new label.
The singles are set to be released back to back with one dropping August 3rd and the second on September 21st. Titles and track listing unknown at this moment. ALSO they announced their first sponsorship live event under DUAL VISION will be on July 30th, no details at the moment but we’ll let you guys know!

New project from Tokyo Heroes members – Zetsurin★Haguki

絶リン★ハグキ (Zetsurin Haguki) is a side-project of two Tokyo Heroes members – Machirou and Linda. They have appeared on stage onsome special occasions in the past, I believe, but now have become an official project/band!

They have already planned their first oneman, which will be on June 22nd at Shibuya SONG LINES! It will be entitled 「バブル青田」(Bubble Aota). A special guest appearing on that live will be 天野 鳶丸 (Amano Tonbimaru) [from グルグル映畫館 (Guruguru Eigakan)]. Tickets are 2000 yen in advance and 2500 yen at the door.

Hora officially moved over to ameblo in April and has been updating his blog almost daily! So far he has shown us his cat, his Nike shoe collection and talks alot of basketball/NBA. Could you expect anything less from Hora?! P.S. I love that he states his favorite player is Lebron James.

New full-album and sponsored tour for Sandwich de 120 pun?

Great news for all サンドイッチで120分? (Sandwich de 120 pun?) fans. Not only are they going to release a new full-album in July, but also hold a commemorative sponsored tour!
Firstly, the full-album will go on sale on July 27th under the title 「ネバーランド」(Neverland). It will include 13 songs and will cost 3150 yen. The cover is as follows:

Dennou Oblaat disbands

電脳オヴラアト (Dennou Oblaat) have announced via their OHP that they will be disbanding in October.
According to Suetsugu’s Twitter, the band’s last performance will be on October 29th at Namba ROCKETS.
Details about the final performance and their decision to disband will be available at a later date on their OHP and the member’s blogs.

Ru:natic loses Nao

About a week ago, Ru:natic announced via their official blog that on May 21st, their drummer Nao would be leaving the band.
The following message was posted on the band’s blog:
Thank you for your continued support of Ru:natic.
Although this is unexpected, we have an important announcement for everyone.
After our live on May 21st, our drummer Nao will be leaving Ru:natic.
This decision was reached after much discussion between the members, so we hope that you can understand.For our future activities, we will be welcoming a support member into the band.
We sincerely apologize to our fans and everyone concerned with the band for the trouble.We hope that you will continue to support Ru:natic.

Vanish back to four

In November of last year, Vanish lost their bassist re-ji. Then in April, they lost their guitarist kenny. However, as of May 19th their support member, JUN (ex-velgat), has officially joined the band!
The band’s vocalist, MAY, wrote the following in his blog:
Also, regarding Vanish’s new member, as of today
JUN, who has been doing support for us for some time,
has become an official member of the band.
From hereon, we’ll keep going with even more spirit, so
please keep on supporting us!

Thanks MAV for emailing us about the dates and locations. So far only three locations have been added but we’ll keep an eye out to see if more are added later in the week.

Art Cub and VII-Sense are teaming up for not only a coupling tour, but a coupling release as well!
The release is called “Art Sensation” and it’s coming out on June 29th. It features two songs for 1260 yen.
