Figallo losing one member

figallo-losing-one-member

Just a few weeks ago, we introduced ‘Figallo’ to you, a new band from Osaka with ex members from DISQLOC, VELGREED, RivaSquall and DI3SIRAE and today the band updated their homepage with an announcement that 明華 (Asuka) will leave the band due personal reasons.

Special thanks to Toki for translating the comments for us!

Kai, Sou, Kaya & Shiki’s comment

To everyone

We are really sorry for this sudden announcement.

We caused troubles for many people and it is like we are betraying everyone.

It is inexcusable and no matter how many times we apologize it’s not enough.

At present, we four have honestly still not really gulped down this quite sudden development.

The only thing we can really say at this stage is that the four of us, Kai, Sou, Shiki & Kaya will certainly return.

This is all we can promise right now.

As we will return as soon as possible, please give us only some more time.

figallo
Kai, Sou, Shiki & Kaya

Asuka’s comment

To all the fans who are supporting figallo,
thank you so much for always supporting us.

Concerning the issue of my retirement,
due to personal circumstances
I ended up being in a seriously difficult situation
and I decided to retire over continuing the band.

My very selfish decision is totally inexcusable.

I ended up not being able to create figallo together but

if you could please warmly support figallo’s activities from now on, I’d be very happy

Asuka

AYABIE casted in Enishi

ayabie-casted-in-enishi

AYABIE are certainly busy these days. Now it seems the 4 guys are going to be a featured in the film ENISHI.

The 4-member band AYABIE revealed several projects on Saturday, including an announcement that they are serving as the music directors of a movie being released during Golden Week of this year. Directed by Kiyohide Matsumura, the film is titled “Enishi” and includes all four members of AYABIE in its cast.

“Enishi” stars voice actors Kisho Taniyama and Daisuke Namikawa, actress Mao Miyaji, and AYABIE members Yumehito and KENZO. The other two members of AYABIE, Takehito and Intetsu, have guest roles.

The story revolves around various people known as “shibito,” a term referring to those who have been legally declared dead after being missing for seven years. These “shibito” continue their lives in the shadows of society, each with different purposes that lead them into conflict.

AYABIE is providing the movie’s theme song “Melody,” which will be released on February 23 as their first single since forming as a new band. In late April, they also plan to release a soundtrack for “Enishi.”

To celebrate their single, they are holding several events in record stores between February 22 and March 20. They have also scheduled several concerts in those two months.

In addition, AYABIE will release a live DVD on March 23 that contains their concert on January 6 at Akasaka BLITZ, which was the final show of their “Virgin Snow Color 2nd season” tour.

Would you watch this movie?

Dada seems to have enough with false information forming around Velvet Eden, over the weekend he expressed his dislike for the article on Wikipedia describing Velvet Eden. He is giving fans a chance to ask him any questions and he will reply!

I saw Velvet eden Wikipedia.
Very shocked.

There is a description of the bullshit.
Different from the truth.
All servile imagination.

Mixed reality and delusion.
Dating mistake.
Errors in the lyrics.
Wrong description of the members.

But I will leave it.
No interest from
I’m here now.

Based on Murakami Motoka’s “JIN”, the TV series of the same title will be airing again!

In the story of “JIN” brain surgeon Minakata Jin, who has gotten into a time slip back to the end of the Edo-era – an environment without satisfactory medical equipment and medicine to save people’s lives – he exchanges his routs with the heroes of that time, while being caught in the vortex of history.

This popular program will be starting with its second season from April 2011 and within this season Visual-kei band vocalist Daiki from “LOST ASH” will be taking over a role as well.

It has not yet been announced as to what kind of character he will be playing, however, Daiki commented on it: “Music is music and acting is acting. Whichever it is, I think I would like to challenge my possibilities in either of the fields.”

Updates on the LEM

updates-on-the-lem

Thanks to Sonii for sending this one in!

It’s been a while since we’ve reported on the LEM. If you recall, they started out as a three member band, then lost their vocalist, later gained a drummer, and have since gained a bassist. After almost a year-long rocky period, it seems that they’ve found a new vocalist and will finally become a five piece band!

So, as of January 29th, the LEM’s new vocalist is Rikuto (ex-neon/Ansem Elliott.)! Now that the band has a five person lineup again, they’ll be officially starting full activities on April 3rd. Additional details of their full activity start haven’t been announced yet, but here’s the first official photo, along with their new lineup:

left → right
G. 一貴 (Kazutaka) || B. (Ran) || V. Rikuto || G. (Jun) || D. (Makoto)

Quite a long time for a band to be without an official lineup, isn’t it? Hopefully they achieve success from here on.

Good news for X Japan fans living in North America!!
Take a look at this news from Tokyograph.

Rock band X Japan has signed a 3-year exclusive agreement with EMI Music for production and distribution of their music in North America. Their first release through EMI is the single “Jade,” scheduled for March 15. This will be the band’s first single in North America, and their first CD single anywhere since “THE LAST SONG” in 1998.

Yoshiki also stated that the band is currently negotiating for releases in other countries, particularly Europe and other parts of Asia.

In addition, Yoshiki announced that he is getting his own regular radio show, called “YOSHIKI RADIO,” on the U.S.-based satellite radio service Sirius XM. The show is currently planned as a one-hour broadcast once a month, starting in February.
