LUNA SEA free live and self-cover album

LUNA SEA has announced something spectacular: this Christmas, December 25th, they’ll be holding a free live at Tokyo Dome!! The live is called LUNACY 黒服限定GIG (Kurofuku Gentei GIG) ~the Holy Night~. As mentioned, it’s completely free, but everyone is asked to follow a dress code: all black.
Tickets can be ordered through e+. And for us overseas people, they even have an English order form! The only restrictions are that each person may only order one ticket, and no one under the age of 12 years is allowed to attend. If you’re attending from abroad, you’ll need your passport as well.
In addition to this awesome development, they’ve also announced a new release: a self cover album entitled LUNA SEA! It’s set to be released on March 16th, and will come in three types.
All types will come with a CD featuring re-recorded versions of old songs, and the 3,150 yen regular press will only include that CD. Meanwhile, the 3,990 yen CD+DVD version will also include a documentary DVD. And finally, the 10,000 yen limited first press premium box will include the CD, a reprint of the band’s 1989, 1,000 press limited demotape SHADE, and some “extravagant premium goods.”

Hitotsume disbanding

ヒトツメ (Hitotsume) will disband after their oneman live on December 30th. Here is what サンジ (Sanji) wrote about their decision in his blog:

Everyone, it’s been a while.
Thanks for the sponsored event. Thank you to all the bands who performed and everyone who came to watch. I was happy to be able to spend such wonderful time.Like it was announced during the MC, Hitotsume will disband after the 12/30 Shibuya Star Lounge oneman performance.
Discussing together, our feelings overlapped and… The end,
The decision to end our activities was a choice to progress towards the next level. I do not intend to rearrange my thoughts yet, and so I still don’t feel it’s really true, but for now even after deciding that I have done each performance, every day, with all of my might. Because it’s important to me.
Yeah, I’ll deal with the upcoming oneman performance with such feelings too.Let’s have a lot of fun, shall we.
The last live will be a oneman, which will take place at Shibuya Star Lounge on December 30th, as mentioned above, and it will be entitled 「終焉、グランギニョル。」(Shuuen, Grand Guignol.). Tickets are 3000 yen in advance and 3500 yen at the door.

Plum’s one-day revival

プラム (Plum) is another band which has decided to hold a one-day revival soon! They disbanded back in 2008 and their most recent line-up looked as follows:
Vocal: チロ (Chiro) || ex .EXE
Guitar: 武彦 (Takehiko) || ジェリー (Jelly)
Guitar: 爛丸 (Ranmaru) || ex.「東京指定」(Tokyo Shitei)
Bass: ゆき (Yuki)
Support Drums: わたる (Wataru) || ジェリー (Jelly)
There will be two events during which they’ll revive, the actual live and a special “revival’s eve” event. It will take place at Kagurazaka EXPLOSION on February 9th, and will include talking with members, taking photos with the band and a mini-live. The second one will be a revival oneman taking place next day at the same venue. It will be titled 「☆はっちゃけ笑顔で再会☆」(Hacchake Egao de Saikai). Tickets for both events are 3000 yen in advance and 3500 yen at the door.

A few days back we talked about a new band which is called [Remming], do you remember?
We wanted to inform you that they updated their discography section on their homepage with two samples for their songs 蝙蝠-コウモリ [koumori] and 星屑カプセル [hoshikuzu capsule] which can be found here.

Heisei Ishin to disband

Heisei Ishin has suddenly announced that, after their appearance at UNDER CODE’s countdown live on December 31st, they will disband. This is especially surprising as they had just recently graduated from UNDER CODE, in preparation for their next stage as a non-visual band.
The only reason they offered is that, after graduating, the members were unable to come to a consensus about the band’s future. Therefore, they begrudgingly decided to break up. The members apologize for the suddenness, and promise to work hard for their remaining month of activity. And of course, they ask for everyone’s continued support up until the end.

1st single for NIL VANISH

NIL VANISH has announced a first single release! 「Reglet」 will come out next year on January 5th and costs 1,575 yen. Tracklist for the release is as follows:

The band is from Fukuoka and started activities around the end of 2009. They have released two demo CDs this year. Unfortunately there isn’t much more information, but you can watch a comment video here.

RULER down one

Guitarist 璃桜愛-rioa- has left RULER few days ago, according to the announcement posted on their OHP:
As of 11/21, guitarist Rioa will leave the band.
Something that was discussed between the members and it is the result of
something that cannot be helped.
Rioa will someday again play on stage, so at that time please support him.
This was not a decision because of a fight, so please understand.

Countdown to… Megayabie?

Curiouser and curiouser… Both Megamasso and Aoi from Ayabie‘s OHPs have links to the same Avex page, depicting a countdown that ends December 6, 2010 at 4:30pm (Japan time). Underneath the countdown is a message encouraging fans to gather in front of Studio Alta, Shinjuku.
What makes this still more curious(er) is the history there is between Aoi and Ryouhei from Megamasso. For those unaware, Ryouhei was the guitarist and principal songwriter of Ayabie (then spelled アヤビエ, for those keeping track) from their 2004 inception until August 2006, when he left due to creative differences and was soon replaced by Yumehito (head-hunted out of Soroban).
Of course, nothing is confirmed, and it could be something as simple as a coupling tour or release, but the fans are already starting to call it “Megayabie.” Fans think we just might have a merger on our hands. But is there room in “Megayabie” for two vocalists?
Place your bets or wait it out, but we’ll know for sure in just over a week!

As of 2011.03.04, Rion (Drums) will leave the band as announced yesterday after Downer’s two-days lives.
Downer will continue as 4 members after Rion’s departure, and more information concerning his last performance will be updated shortly.

Single and 1st oneman for NEXX

NEXX’s first single 「NEO BLACK」 came out recently (on October 30th), but they have already announced a new single release and a first oneman for next year! 2nd single single is entitled as 「GEMINI」 and comes out on January 4th. Other details aren’t yet available.
The oneman 「ABSOLUTE FACT」 will take place on February 12th at Ikebukuro CYBER. Tickets will cost 2,800 in advance and 3,300 yen at doors. Those who will attend the live will get a free demo CD.

Arc’s omnibus event series

New maxi-single for Dororo

どろろ (Dororo), who restarted their activities few months ago, have announced a release of a new maxi-single!
It will go on sale on December 15th under the title『2000-2010 遺書-復刻版-』(2000-2010 Isho -Fukkokuban-). It will cost 1500 yen and contain 3 tracks:
1. 不幸の手紙 (Fukou no Tegami)
2. 夢にまつわる不眠症 (Yume ni Matsuwaru Fuminshou)
3. 赤い靴の少女連続誘拐事件 (Akai Kutsu no Shoujo Renzoku Yuukai Jiken)
Actually all of these songs are re-recordings, the songs originally appeared on demo tapes before the band’s hiatus.

Dog in the PWO’s 1st full-album

DOG inTheパラレルワールドオーケストラ (Dog in The Parallel World Orchestra) have announced that they are going to release their 1st full-album next year!
The album will be entitled 『ONE』and will go on sale on February 9th in two types – a limited one containing 13 songs + a PV of a new song (3990 yen) and a regular one with 13 tracks only (3150 yen).

SKULL disbands

SKULL have announced that they will be disbanding after their performance on March 26th.
The following announcement was posted on their OHP and in the member’s blogs:
Thank you for your continued support of SKULL.
Although it’s sudden, we have an announcement.
At this time, SKULL has decided to disband after their live on March 26th at Takadanobaba AREA.
The members discussed their options until they were satisfied, and reached the conclusion to progress down separate life paths from hereon out, and therefore ask for your understanding.
We offer our deepest apologizes to everyone who has been supporting us for this unexpected news.
There’s only a short amount of time until March 26th, however, we hope that you will continue to cheer us on until the end.

Xenon gains a new vocalist

It seems that パノラマ虚構ゼノン (Xenon) lost their vocalist 湊 (Minato) back in September 18th due to family circumstances. Luckily, they found a support member and now he has joined the band officially! The new vocalist is 獅子 (Reo), previously known from Яe：sK, DAISY and ワイフ (Wife).
There isn’t yet pictures with the new vocalist, but you can find Reo’s blog here. You can also follow them on Twitter.
We’ll let you know when more details are available!

【空-くぅ-】 (Kuu) is a new solo project started by ぼん。(Bon). The official and support members are as follows:

On September 28th they’ve started selling a single called 「砕け散った想をかき集め奏デルは僕ラ」(Kudake Chitta Sou wo Kaki Atsume Kanaderu wa Bokura). You can either get in their official online shop (not sure if it’s possible for overseas fans) and during their lives. It costs 500 yen and contains following tracks:

2. アイデンティクト (Identict)
