egoist-news

エゴis≒徒 (Egoist), who recently lost their drummer, has again bad news. Their guitarist akane had to be hospitalized some time back and now he is leaving the band until he has made full recovery. Following announcement is from his blog:

From akane, to all of our fans,

First, to all of the Egoist members, the members of love:Re, and everyone connected to the band, I’m truly sorry for the trouble that I have caused and for being defeated.

I received a poster with sentiments and paper cranes from of our love:Re members.

Everyone, thank you.

I guess now, I’ll be be leaving Egoist for a while, and more than ever I love Eogist and all of our fans. You are all truly, truly important to me, and as I have no other place where I can express this, I want to tell you again how I feel.

You guys… I wanted to go forward together, but I guess there’s still a little more time that has to pass until I can stand in front of everyone again.

But I’ll be back for sure, so I want you to not forget and to wait for me.

Because my heart is always with you.

Egoist akane

Luckily Rouis and Hasune aren’t giving up though. They have decided to go on by name Littleエゴis≒徒2℃.

Thank you to all of our fans for your continuous support.

On this occasion, we have decided that due to our drummer, Masami leaving and until our guitarist, akane, can make a full recovery, from our live on May 29th, Egoist’s activities will instead be continued by Rouis and Hasune’s unit, “Little Egoist 2℃.

Personally, Little Egoist sounds cute and cool, but I’ll look forward for Egoist’s return too.
What do you think?

geek-disbands

Thanks to lizarebirth for the heads up!

GEEK, who started back in 2009 but started their “serious” activities earlier this year have announced that on July 10th, they will be disbanding.

Vocalist GAKU wrote the following entry in his blog:

Good evening!

They say time flies when you’re having fun…

Yesterday’s live was fun☆

Those who came already heard, but GEEK has decided to disband.

We will disband after our live on July 10th.

Sorry for performing at today’s live with tears in my eyes. (つд`)

When I was going to holiday, I cried on the train (つд`)

The old lady in front of me, had this face like,
why are you crying? (つд`)

So without a moment’s hesitation,
I said,
“Ahh, my contact is hurting my eye!”

The old lady understood!

Ahh

What am I saying?

Get a hold of yourself!

Everyone!

Do you know the real pronounciation for GEEK?

I’ve been thinking this whole time and saying Jiiku, Jiiku, always Jiiku…

I’m sorry!

It’s actually Giiku!

Sorry!

What the hell was I saying?

Stay with me~

Today, it seems like a lot of people came to see us, so I want to tell you how truly grateful I am.

the GEEK members, and GEEK-sei…*

I got it wrong!

the GEEK-sei [GEEK fans], I love you all!

Rather, this is love!

LOVE IT!!!!

It really is too bad we’re disbanding, but this is a result that we came to together based on all of our thoughts and opinions, so please understand, okay? (つд`)

It was fate that I met these members

It’s been miracle being able to meet you all

I really believe that this [experience] is something that can’t be replaced☆

We only have one more round of spending this amazingly wonderful time together, and of course I’m going to cry (つд`)

So,

On July 10th, let’s laugh while we cry, okay? ☆

There’s one thing I want to tell you

I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On July 10th, everyone, you gotta come to GEEK’s last live☆

Those of you who haven’t come before, come!

Because it’s for everyone! ☆

Please support us☆

noMakiii~~~♪/♪/♪/♪

G(a ´艸`k)uuu・・・nyasu☆

Byechu~♪

PS. I really will cry.

* Originally GAKU chose the wrong kanji to follow GEEK. He wrote GEEK性 when he meant to write GEEK生.

otogadead-down-one

由希 (Yuki), the drummer of オトガデッド (Otogadead) has left the band. Here is the official band’s comment regarding his decision:

Thank you for continuing to support Otogadead.

We have an important announcement to you all.

As of the gig at Meguro Rock Maykan on the 15th May, the drummer Yuki has requested his leave from Otogadead.

We wish to apologise to the fans and all those involved for this announcement and that things have turned out this way.

The reason for this is that as Yuki is undergoing two careers of being part of Otogadead and other musical activities simultaneously, it is becoming stressful for him both physically and mentally, therefore it is virtually impossible for him to continue like this.

After discussing this within the members by taking his intentions into consideration, and moreover, wanting to keep Otogadead to continue successfully in our activities and create good pieces [of music], we have accepted his request to withdraw.

We would like to deeply apologise for continuing to cause an inconvenience and worry to you all, due to the fact that we have a band member drawing when we still have gigs to come. We will hastily find a support member for the gig at Shibuya RUIDO K4 on the 20th June.

We would like continually devote ourselves on making good music.
Please do continue to support us.

find-mucc-on-muccs-day-be-in-their-pv

Lots of exciting news for MUCC!

MUCC will be releasing their new single as we mentioned both here and here on the 9th June, which also happens to be *”MUCC’S Day”!
[*The number 6 is "roku" in Japanese but can also be read as "mu", and as the number 9 is "kyuu" it can be shortened to "ku" to be read as "69" = "mu ku" i.e. "Mukku".]
Along with their single release on this special day, the band will be holding an event 『ムックを捜せ!』 (Find MUCC!), where fans can search for MUCC both at the event in Shibuya and virtually.
To take part, all fans must purchase the First Press edition of the single 『約束』 (yakusoku), which will enclose a an I.D. card with a number/code that they will need. They then access the “MUCC Day” website either through their mobile/cell phones or through their computer. There are then 3 methods in which fans can participate:

01. Find MUCC in “real time”
This event in Shibuya will take place on the 9th June, starting at 6pm and ending at 9pm, where fans search for MUCC and find stamps to stamp on their sheet.
02. Find MUCC “virtually”
Using your PIGGS (avatars) on Ameba blogs, you can find the MUCC member’s PIGGs in the virtual Shibuya in the Ameba world and collect their special “keywords”.
03. “Reccommend” MUCC
With each member now part of Twitter as we mentioned here, if you send them a “nice” (interesting, funny) comment you could be chosen!

Those who participate and apply will be entered into a lottery where they could recieive an invitation to take part in the shooting of their new PV on 12th June! It will be at ‘Palette Town’ in Odaiba, where the lucky chosen fans can go see a free gig which will be used in the music video.

For more information on this amazing event, see their official “MUCC Day” website.

Whilst not forgetting the band’s autumn tour as we mentioned here, they are busy taking part in 3 more upcoming events;
01. 『NEXUS J-ROCK GOES TO THE WORLD』 on the 6th June at the ‘NEXUS STUDIO COAST’ in Tokyo, along with bands 葵 (aoi), LC5, ギルガメッシュ (Gilgamesh) and Plastic Tree. Tickets for first floor standing are now on sale for 5,250yen. To buy them and for more information, see here.
02. 『BARKS LIVE [10th Anniversary Gratitude Festival]』 on the 11th July at the ‘ZEPP TOKYO’, along with J and Pay money To my Pain. Tickets can be specially pre-ordered now but go on sale for everyone on 6th June, with ticket prices to be announced. To buy them and for more information, see here.
03. 『SUMMER SONIC 2010』 on the 8th August. For information on the types of tickets available and to buy them, see the official website.

Anyone going to take part in the “Find MUCC!” event in real time or virtually? I know I may browse virtual Shibuya with my PIGG just to see if I can spot the members!

cocklobin-going-on-activity-pause

cocklobin have announced on their OHP that they’ll be going on activity pause:

To all of our fans, and everyone who is connected to the band,

On May 16th after our our oneman live, 「再生」 (Saisei), we have decided to go on a temporary activity pause.

The reason for our activity pause is that although up until today we’ve been active for about a year and a half repeatedly doing lives and producing various works, we want to improve our music and in order for that to happen, were are making it public that cocklobin will be pausing from activites (lives and so forth).

The members all took many things into consideration, however after many meetings we decided that we couldn’t create new music with the way things are now. We hope that you can understand that we feel it is necessary for us to give undevided attention to making music, and therefore decided to take a break from live activities.

Furthermore, we have not yet decided when exactly we will be resuming our acitivites, however, when we have finished taking our time to create our new works, we will update with news of a new release and so forth.

Due to the member’s desire to perform, we will be performing at the live that we have planned for August 9th.

Until we restart our activities, we feel that there may be some fans who are worried about the break, however, it’s necessary for us so that we can create wonderful pieces, and return in front of you all. We hope that you will continue to support us.

cocklobin Members and Staff

The band’s last live before the pause will take place on the 9th of August at Nagoya BOTTOM LINE and will be entitled 『拝啓x様~麝香連理想~』(Haikei Yuu-sama~Jakou Renri Sou~) . Actually it’s the live when 雀羅 (Jakura) will be having their one-day revival and also when Seika’s new band will hold its first live.

Other performing bands are 凛 (Rin),-S-, Dolly, 砂月 (Satsuki), cocklobin, sho-ka, LADY, Schwein, 侍待 (Samuraimachi) and ジ・ハード (Ji・had).
