L~Lotus~ is a five-piece band comprising of three ex. as milk members – 蓮華 (Renka) on vocals, saki and Takayuki on guitars, masato on bass, and YUJI on drums. GLACIER is a five-member group from Okinawa, comprising of Makoto on vocals, Nao on lead guitar, Koujirou on rhythm guitar, Aki on bass, and Yuuki on drums. O-PARTS is a two-man unit that started in June of 2009, formed by vocalist sho-ka (ex. Vogus Image) and bassist Jun (GaGaaalinG, ex. WAIVE). Have you ever seen this picture with Kozi and Yu~ki with this strange yet intriguing man? Who is it you ask? Its none other than the great magical Susumu Hirasawa! You guys might know of his group from the late 70s called P-Model. His style is more of a pop sound but he is important to the vk world, you see he had a bit of visual flair and his music had elements of techno and computer generated sounds. Listen to some of his music, can you tell that he was an influence to some bands?
Just one month after they’ve lost their bassist Jin, ヴァンパイア (Vampire) has already filled the blank ! Their new bassist is called Sena, there’s no picture of him as of yet but they should update their site soon I guess ! Anyway, good news for the band !

Remember Gadhuka ? I’ve written a few articles on that young session band in the past few months. And it appears now that the band has chosen to put an end to their activities on July 30th after their performance at Ikebukuro Cyber.
But don’t worry, for those who would have liked to get a chance to hear what they sounded like (especially with two bassists), the band will become a full-fledged band and start its new activities in October !

According to the announcement posted on member blogs, the band エゴis≒徒 (Egoist) was involved in an accident on the way to their first live because of a “surprise event”. The type of accident was not stated. They have said that because of the poor physical condition and bloodshed of the members, continuing lives has become temporarily impossible. They apologize to all who attended that they weren’t able to complete the live, and will do their best to come back quickly.
UPDATE: According to Hasune, they were most concerned for Akane, who seems to have been injured the worst. However, after being examined at the hospital, he is expected to recover just fine. He is still going to take some time to rest before they start live activities, however, and when we get word on an expected return date, we’ll let you know!

And the last but not the least! New look! It’s so much different from their previous one, so much colorful and I love it so much that I just have to share it with you guys! What do you think about it? Personally? I adore the way Shuuji looks, haha!
A guitarist ♀ (meth) of a fairly new angura kei band 爛-lAn- left the band after their concert on the 29th of July in Ikebukuro Tegatana. No particular reasons were given. He thanked all his fans for all the support he got during the time in 爛-lAn-.
However, meth informed on his blog that he would join a band called 昭和破裂楽曲見世物集団みどりちゃん (Shouwa Haretsu Gakkyoku Misemono Shuudan Midorichan). Their first live will be held at the 4th of August in Kagurazaka DIMENSION. There’s no OHP and any other details yet, but I’ll let you know once there are any news.

A few weeks ago, I told you that BLADE was going to make its come-back on stage for some secret lives after a 4-months pause.
Well, their new update gave us some more good news ! They’re finally settled in Tokyo and will have a bunch of demonstration lives until november as follows :

Remember this post? Seems like Hizaki’s re-releases are finally back up for people to order! The releases were set to come out earlier this year and were postoned for some reason. Dance with grace came out July 1st and Maiden Ritual comes out August 26th. So preorder it, if anyone gets these new re-releases please let us know if the packaging is different etc! Oh and Schwardix Marvally’s second pressing of Tenku eno Monogatari also came out last month.

Wedday is currently sponsoring an event tour called the “Pandemonium Expo 2009″, and soon after will celebrate their 10th anniversary with an event on September 1st at Sendai Hook, titled “Wedday EXPO – Ayame Kokujuuji Mako Birthday Festival 2009″. Back in May, I’ve told you that VELGREED was planning to release their second single soon ! The guys have just updated their OHP with some more details !
The new single will go on sale on September 30th and will be entitled 「FACTS DROWN IN ABUSE」 ! It will contain 4 tracks for 1890 yen. Limited to 500 copies, you’ll have to go to their live OR to order it through Like an Edison to get it !

Not much is known but we now have a date of release. The new single which we talked about here is set to be released September 23rd. The only other details is that its considered a re:start DOUBLE A-side single. The single is also up for preorder on CDJapan. Its only 1200 yen so its pretty cheap and is limited in numbers!

The Candy Spooky Theater has updated their site with a new look and some news about releasing a new album soon! So far no full details have been announced but its very exciting and we can’t wait to hear more about the new release, we will keep you updated. In other news they have a new look and they have an upcoming two day event on August 7th called 〜TOKYO DANCE MACABRE’S DEAD OF NIGHT PARADE ~ with Art Cube, uBuGoe and Dangan Shoujo.
