Theater has announced that on January 22nd at Takadanobaba AREA they will be disbanding.
The members haven’t really given any reason behind their decision, but hopefully they’ll be updating us at a later date.

Christmas Raffle 2008

Here at Shattered-Tranquility.net we like to celebrate the holidays! To do that, we’re having a Christmas Raffle… with a bit of a twist.
We’re doing a 24 days ’til Christmas trivia raffle. Every day at midnight (EST) a new trivia question will be posted. Answer it correctly within 24 hours, and you’ll receive a raffle ticket. Twenty-four chances for twenty-four tickets (please note you can only enter once per day). The questions will range in difficulty, but will focus mostly on visual bands (with the odd S-T question thrown in for good fun).
The raffle will take place on December 26th.
Prizes are still under negotiation, but will be announced in the next few days. We’re planning something similar to what we’ve had the past; gift certificates or set amounts of money to spend online purchasing the visual band goodies you’re dying to get your hands on! Of course, we’re open to any suggestions.
With all that said, expect the first trivia question to be posted in just over an hour; Midnight (EST). December 1st.
Don’t worry, we have a page dedicated to the contest as well as our own little advent calendar to keep track of the days! You can also check the advent calendar for posts to the finished questions, with the answers.

Today’s random fact is about names. Names are important to some people, and it can be frustrating when people use the wrong name for you.
Ni from Girugamesh wanted to make it clear how to write his name. He wrote in their blog that his name is not written using the kanji 『弍』, but using 『弐』 instead.
It seems like a small difference, because they are read the same way, but those little things can make all the difference! You wouldn’t want someone misspelling your name, right?
It’s like when people call me Bernie. Or Herbie. Someone used to call me ‘Nest’ all the time too. Maybe they thought it was a cute nickname, but it irritated me.
So, how about you, S-T readers? What has your name been confused for?

Wedday’s new release

ウェンズデー(Wedday) has announced that they will be releasing a new maxi single and will be selling a dvd soon! The maxi single will contain their new songs, D-ドロップ( D-DROP) and うつつ(utsutsu), and the dvd will contain the history of the band. There will be more information on both very soon!

Vis Curse’s new member

Vis Curse rencently underwent a departure, as Toshiya had to leave the band due to a relational problem with his family, as it was mentionned by Adrienne back here. On that same period they’ve announced that a support guitarist named Kuuta joined the band, and it turns out that Kuuta has become an official member of the band on November 22nd !

That young band that was introduced to you back here has announced a pretty bad news ! Indeed, Sarieli decided to take a break (starting from November 27th) only 6 months after they started performing !
Let’s hope they won’t go further and disband…

unfade loses two and postpones

unfade has announced that as of December 1st, both bassist 柳 (Yanagi) and drummer sakichi have decided to leave the band.
No other details are given, however, the band is currently down to two members. They went on a pause back in September,and planned to release a new CD on December 3rd, however, due to ‘various circumstances’ that too has been postponed. Hopefully we’ll hear some more news from them soon, and hopefully they’ll find a couple more mebers and be back on the scene!

Schmelz Cure down two

Schmelz Cure will be down two members as of December 10th.
Both guitarist Kouta and bassist Rin will be leaving the band.
Rin has not updated his blog with his comment yet, but Kouta has aid that his decision to leave was because hasn’t chosen what path he wants to follow, and he feels like he probably won’t be able to continue with the activities in the band.
He feels that he would be lying to himself if he said he didn’t want to play music, and he’s been thinking about what kind of music he personally would like to make. Although it’s not over yet, he wants to thank the members, staff, fans and everyone connected to the band. He feels that in Schmelz Cure he was able to learn a lot.
He does plan to be in a band after this, and feels that seeing everyone with a different form, will be a good thing. There are two lives remaining for him with Schmelz Cure, and he promises to do his best.

NoA stops

NoA has gone on an indefinite activity pause as of November 26th.
They thank the fans for the support.
Just doing a brief glance at what the members have written in the blog, they are all thankful for their time in the band, but feel that it’s time to go their separate ways, dwon their separate paths.

「cocklobin」 is a new band that just recently started up!
They give an explanation to their name, saying the following.
cockRobin
With the meaning of 「こまどり」 (Komadori; Japanese robin).
Called the spokeman for sadness, the red chest that was received from licking the blood of the god at the verge of death.
From Robin to Lobin
The band is currently made up of three members:
Vocals - nigu (ex-babysitter)
Guitar - 依織 (Iori) (ex-Siva, ex-Blast, ex-Lamiel, ex-Phobia)
Guitar - shinichi
The band will be the opening guest for 「BLACK Sugar POT」 which is Sugar and 9GOATS BLACK OUT two man live.
They also mention that after the turn of the new year, they’ll be officially starting their activities, and will be updating their site accordingly at that time.

Iceman’s CD

Although Haru is stopping with his Iceman solo project, he has announced that he will be releasing a CD on December 25th, and they’ll be sold via mail order. As we’ve said before, there’s a lot of great shopping services you could use if you want to purchase the items.
The CD is called 「発育する自慰」 (Hatsuiku suru Jii) and it’s coming out in three types.

Aluminous down one

Thanks to Tay for sending this one in and asking us to check it out!
Koki (from Aluminous) announced in his blog that at their live on December 8th, bassist Nique will be leaving the band.
The band apologizes for the announcement and asks that fans continue to support them just as they always have.
Nique hasn’t updated his blog since the 3rd of November, so there currently is no insight behind his decision.

I swore we posted about this already but I couldn’t find it in our posts. Aki of -OZ- will be celebrating his birthday in style. Apparently he will be hosting an event for himself lol if you look at the ad it says “Party of the Aki by the Aki for the Aki…” I dunno why that cracks me up, maybe because he calls himself THE Aki? Anyway, the event will be on December 8th and its called Fun to Fan. Of course -OZ- will be performing along with other LOOP ASH bands like MoNoLith, ALiBi and Zip.er…

Watashime Slug on pause

Watashime Slug has announced that as of November 28th (yesterday) they have gone on an activity pause.
The two members say that they want to widen their horizons, both visually and musically and therefore this break will give them the chance to change.
They are unsure of when they will be making a return, but ask their fans to wait for them.
