D&L will be presenting an event on April 9th at Takadanobaba AREA, which will not only feature the band, but also UnsraW, SKULL, Seciliaルナ (Secilia LUNA), VelBet and others. The event is called “bug screamo vol.1″.
They’ve also announced the release of their first demonstration single called “Dust pain” which will happen on April 16th. The single is only one song, and costs 500 yen.
And boy are they taking part in a bunch of events! They’ll be performing at SectMa’s formation anniversary live on February 5th, then at “CRYSTAL CORE. scene Ⅱ” on February 22nd. The Like an Edison presents on March 24th, UNDER CODE PRODUCTION PRESENTS on May 23rd for Dali’s four month consecutive release and again on May 24th for ClearVeil’s.
It’s a busy busy time for them!

ムック to perform in Sweeeeeeeeeeden

Good news for Swedish ムック (Mucc) fans; they’ve announced that they’ll be playing at the “Sweden Rock Festival 2008″ which takes place from June 4th ～ June 7th. They’ll be performing on the 6th.
I don’t know any Swedish (except fill my glass) and Kim’s not around, so that’s all I know. If I find out there’s more details, I’ll update this post.

Ahh, this is some news that made me very glad, because I like this band a lot.
unfade has announced a new maxi single called “Miss you” scheduled to come out on March 26th! It’s a four track single that will cost 1575 yen. The CD will be available at their lives starting on March 14th at Nagoya Heart Land.
The tracklist is:
01. Miss you
02. busy life
03. call me
04. Answer
They’ve also announced their “Missing you” tour final oneman called “-Red thread-” that will take place at Nagoya ell.SIZE on May 31st. The live will open at 6:00 start at 6:30 and cost 2500 yen advance order, 3000 yen for those who purchase tickets the day of. The tickets will go on sale starting February 16th, but be available for sale at their live on February 10th (at ell. FITS ALL).
I think someday soon I’ll probably write a band feature / introduction for them, because I really like them and I’m actually kind of surprised I don’t hear more by them. I loved ガ♂ル (Girl) so I was really glad when both ジギィ (Jigy) and ゆきあ (Yukia) went on to a new band together.

C4, on May 21st, will be releasing their debut 1st album called “Cyclotoron 4″. There aren’t any details yet on how much it’ll be, or how many tracks (although it does say FULL album, so I’d guess somewhere around 10 – 13).
They’re also having a 1st FULL ALBUM commemoration SPECIAL SHOWCASE ONEMAN on June 21st called “Cyclotoron0621″ (So original…). That oneman will take place at ASTRO HALL in Harajuku.
Just incase anyone’s not familiar with the band, the members are:
Vocals - TOKI (ex-Kill=slayd, ex-STEALTH)
Guitar - SHUNSUKE (ex-Vasalla, ex-JILS, THE”FUZZ”)
Bass - REN (ex-Da’vidノ使徒:aL, ex-pleur, ex-JILS, ex-Heaven’s)
Drums - Tomoi (ex-Laputa, ex-MILK FUDGE)
The band started in June of 2007 and had their first live about a month later, on July 28th at Shinjuku LOFT. The full album will be their first release.

This is kind of cool…
SMILE’s song 「サヨナラ、私の愛した人」 (Sayoara, Watashi no Aishita Hito) as of February 1st will be used as the ending song for a show airred on Kansai TV’s Kyoto Channel called 「ほびーワールド計画」 (Hobby World Keikaku).

LuLu Goes Major!

The other day, I posted here about LuLu’s new mini album that’s coming out in April…
Turns out, that that mini-album will also be their first release as a major band, and in a sense their “major debut”! I read on Grassthread this morning that the band will be going major, and it was confirmed on both Rakuten and Brand-x. I’m actually kind of surprised, because I personally don’t really hear that much about them, but I guess there have been a few bands that you wouldn’t have thought were major, but really were (like Shulla).
It hasn’t yet be stated what company they’ll be moving to.
As Saishuu pointed out, and as I should have realized on Brand-x, they’ve moved to Nippon Crown. However, they haven’t yet been updated as on the label on the Nippon Crown site.

IZAM (I assume that most people would know who he is, but if not he’s the former vocalist for SHAZNA and has done solo work since then), is going to be appearing in a TV show.
Are you ready for this? He’ll be appearing on: 「山村美紗没後十三回忌 新京都芸妓シリーズ第3弾 祇園芸妓VS京都女優 京都花嫁殺人事件 」出演」 (Yamamura Misa Botsugo Chuusan Kaiki, Shinmeikyu Geigi SERIES Dai 3dan Gion Geigi VS Kyoto Jouyu Kyoto Hanayome Satsujinjiken).
It’ll be on air on February 8th at 9:00. It’s a Fuji-TV national broadcast.

Black:List is busy!

Black:List finally revealed their look today with new vocalist KYOTARO!! Yes, this is an exciting time thus Mija and myself felt this deserved its own post. All hail to great cult of Mozo, current member status 2. We have cool black robes and membership rings (not really).
What do you think of the new looks? I think they are great! You know Tomozo’s birthday is coming on 3/15. They will be having two lives around that time, ‘Black:List PRESENTS EVENT『Departure’n'Hatch』2days’ and a free cd will be given out on both days. Please remember to get ticket info email their new label DUAL CORE SOUND ENTERPRISE, not Sequence Records. Oh what I wouldn’t give to be able to go to those lives. If you are in Japan you should check it out for me, support Tomozo.
Tomozo also mentioned working on a PV in his blog, very exciting!

Sadilna Lu’a Maiden

This isn’t a very recent band, but I haven’t seen any mention of them around yet. So, I introduce to you all, Sadilna Lu’a Maiden (~サディリナ ルア メイデン~). They actually formed back in January 2007 by members SAKI, Hakuvo-白牡-、karen. They held their 1st live on April 13th, 2007. Since then, member karen has left the band (his last live was May 27th if I’m not mistaken). A new guitarist joined quite literally the day after, his name ひかり (Hikari).
The members are:

Bass – Hakuvo-白牡-

Remember yesterday, when I posted about Juliette and Lycaon? (You can read the post here if you don’t)!
Well, I’ve got confirmed news, photos and members!
Okay, I was going to start with Juliette, but I’m way too excited about Lycaon! So I’m starting with them.
The band members are:
Vocals – 悠希 (Yuuki)
Guitar – リト (Rito)
Guitar – サトシ (Satoshi)
Bass – 美央 (Mio)
Drums – Eve
They’ll be having their first (FREE) oneman live called 『The MURDER to dismantle truth show』 on May 30th, 2008 at Nagoya Heart Land. Don’t forget as posted yesterday, (check out that post for more info) they’ll also be releasing their first CD on March 19th called “RED RUM”.
Now, why am I so excited about this band?
I can honestly say, I cried a little out of excitement, which makes me lame. But the guitarist, リト (Rito) used to be 壱吾 (Ichigo) from ジャガー (Jaguar), a band I used to adore and follow, and now all the members have moved on to new bands! Rara to Burea, Yuuri to chariots and Naruka to ClearVeil.
Anyways, Juliette is next on the list and the girl who posted the names in her journal, was 100% spot on! I was seriously impressed.
In this band we have:
Vocals – うきる (Ukiru)
Guitar – 夢流 (Yumeru)
Guitar – 翔也 (Shouya)
Bass – takumi
Drums – いずみ (Izumi)
Exciting stuff for them as well, they’re having their first oneman too called “Joker Bunny’s Show～いたずらウサギの不思議なお噺。～” (～Itazura Usagi no Fushigi nao Hanashi～). That oneman is on June 24th at Shibuya Chelsea Hotel and costs 1500 yen (advnace order) or 3000 yen (day of). Buy your tickets in advance. Seriously.
Ah. I’m just so excited to see Ichigo back in business.

彩冷える (Ayabie), on March 19th will be releasing a new CD, with three different types. The title is 「メルト・アウェイ」 (Melt Away).
Type A costs 1890 yen and contains:

Plus a DVD with “TheMe” on it.
Type B is 1575 yen, and is a three track CD containing:

TUXEDO PRODCUTION is releasing a five track omnibus album on March 26th! The price is 2500 yen and something cool that’s on it, is キカサ (Kikasa)’s first ‘solo’ track! (キカサ (Kikasa) as in ex-Due’le quartz, Shelly Trip Realize and 【FIGURe;】 Kikasa). On the track he’s not only playing bass, but singing as well. The synthesizers were done by Rice’s 有紀 (Yuuki) and drugs by ex-メトロノーム (ex-Metronome)’s チロー (Chirou).
The tracklist is as follows:

02. Calls – SectMa featuring ゆかり (Yukari) (re:Make’s vocalist)

But anyways, the single will cost 1260 yen and is limited to only 500 copies! It’ll contain two tracks, the title track, Carcass and 「失楽園」 (Shitsurakuen).
I haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet (because I’m in class, haha) but you can hear a sample of Carcass on their OHP.

Vidoll dinner auctions on sale now!

Jui and Rame from Vidoll will be attending Megacon in Orlando, FL on March 7th-9th. Auctions are already open for people who want to bid to have dinnner with Jui or Rame! Only 4 slots open for each member. The 2 Vidoll members will also be available for polaroid pics and autographs!

And for once, I’m actually not joking with the title.
So, let me tell you a story.
This morning, I arose to the always terrifying ring of my alarm clock. You’d think that after having it for far more than five years, I’d be totally used to it by now. Apparently not. I did my usual morning routine and when I got to the computer, I decided to check out Brand-x to see what was new.
I found that Juliette (ジュリエット) and Lycaon are both releasing new CDs!
But then I stopped, and thought to myself… who the hell are Juliette and Lycaon? Further investigation told me that they were both new bands on the Shimizuya Record label. So I did some searching, and… it turns out that Shimizuya Records is いずみ (Izumi) (ex-The Pumpkin Head)’s label. Interesting.
But hey, I’ll proceed with the information I know and when we know more, we’ll update you with that.
Sound good? Okay.
Let’s start with Juliette, because I do know a little something about them.
Even though テディ (Teddy) disbanded a short… three days ago, vocalist うきる (Ukiru) already has made plans for a new band. (You see where I’m going with this right?) That band, is Juliette. Joining him, is いずみ (Izumi) who used to play drums for The Pumpkin Head. It’s a five member band, but the other names haven’t yet been released, at least not anywhere I could find.
GOSSIP ⇒ I did come across a girl’s journal and she wrote that along with うきる (Ukiru) and いずみ (Izumi), ゆめら (Yumeru) and しょうや (Shouya) would be in the band. No idea if any of that is true, and she didn’t know who the bassist was, so please don’t take that as they are definite members. /GOSSIP
Now, according to Brand-x, this is what Juliette and the release is all about:
They’re starting activities with their concept of the fairy tale world that you see when you open a picture book! Their first single and DVD, which are entitled the same, “Jewel Baby Stars” are going on sale at the same time! The first song, 「星屑メモリー」 (Hoshikuzu MEMORY; Stardust Memory) has an easy to listen to melody and the expression of the lyrics resound in the heart. The second song on the DVD is a recording of 「レトロククラシックアリス」 (Retro Classic Alice) which will be going on sale beforehand only at lives. Please experience Juliette with your sense of sight and sense of hearing.
The CD and DVD will come out on June 18th and cost 1500 yen. There will be a total of four tracks on it as well.
Ready for the next one?
There’s no news that I can find about the members of this band (you know, just after I post this it’ll pop up), but their concept is carrying the “hunting instinct” of the hound Lycaon, so I’m assuming their named after this adorable little bugger. They’re based out of Nagoya and also on いずみ (Izumi)’s label.
So what does it say about them? Well.
You must listen to this single because of the catchy melodies in which the singing voice in their songs which overflows with a sense of freshness, the rap and heavy guitar, loud rhythm that is joined with hardness, and with heavy “emo”.
Their single called RED RUM comes out on March 19th and costs 1500 yen.
There are four tracks on the CD, which include:
01. Grow
02. RED RUM
03. The death game
04. 「琥珀彩」〜コハクイロ〜 (Kohakuiro)

Scar. activity pause

Scar. will be going on an activity pause after their ONE MAN TOUR 2008「DAYS」ファィナル on Febuary 15. On their site you can see a group comment talking about the pause.
The general point of their comment is that they have been thinking about the future of the band and in the end they could feel each member separating. They are happy they had the chance to go on stage share their music with their fans, and of course like any disbanding comment they ask for support until their last minute together.
This comment was posted awhile back and I feel bad not for checking in on Scar. in the last couple of months, I hope they get alot of fans attending their tour ;~;

Gackt wins an… acting… award?

When I read this, I was like, what? Hahaha.
But apparently, Gackt has won an award for the best co-star according to the poll done by TVnavi which is a magazine that comes out monthly. T
He won for the October to December period, as they do this every three months, or have been for 2007. It’s called “Drama Observer of the Year”.
What was he playing in, you ask?
He’s been playing a warlord called 上杉 謙信 (Uesugi Kenshin) in the drama 風林火山 (Fuurinkazan) which airs on NHK.
So, yes. That’s pretty interesting isn’t it?
Really though, is there anything Gackt can’t accomplish? O_O

On January 12th, Tarrot joined the label SPEED-DISK. They also released a maxi single on January 23rd – called 『色彩MONOCHROME』 and it contains 3 tracks . Early mail orders received a comment dvd. The band is featured on the Speed-Disk site with a new cute look! This is exciting, look forward for more releases from Tarrot!

FOOL’S MATE (the magazine) is organizing a pretty big event called “April-fool’s Fest 08″.
The event will take place at Shinkiba Studio Coast and there’s two stages filled with visual goodness.
Performing on the main stage are Plastic Tree, サディ (Sadie), 新興宗教楽団NoGoD and others.
And scheduled on the express stage, are 【_Vani;lla】, exist†trance, D=OUT and others.
The date? April 6th. (Okay, so not quite April Fools).
The event opens at 3:00 and begins at 4:00. Tickets are 4500 yen a piece (not bad, considering you could pay 4500 yen JUST to see Plastic Tree alone) and 5000 yen if you buy them the day of the live.
Advance sale tickets for this hot event start selling on February 3rd at 7:00pm until February 6th at 11:59pm.
The next set goes on sale starting March 8th.
