As 2015 comes to a close, many bands are gearing up to start 2016 anew. For some, that means the loss of important members. Artemis is unfortunately one of those bands.
On December 30th, vocalist Grave officially left the ranks of Artemis. On the bright side, Artemis will continue on with activities as scheduled, hopefully with the addition of a new vocalist soon. Read all the details in this translated version of the official announcement and a comment from Grave (translated by yours truly):
An Important Announcement from Artemis
Thank you for your continuous support for Artemis.
At our 12/14 show at Ikebukuro EDGE, we announced that Vo. Grave will leave the band after our 12/30 performance.
Grave felt that he had reached his limit as the vocalist of Artemis. After discussing the issue at length, the members came to this decision.
There’s only one show left with the current lineup. We apologize for this sudden news, but the members will work together to make this last show the best. We hope you’ll attend and have fun.
Artemis will not enter a hiatus or disband. We will continue on with our current schedule as planned, so please continue to support us.

Comment from Vo. Grave
Thank you for giving me strength.
I’m sorry this announcement is so sudden.
I’ve been worrying about this and talking to the members about this for a while now.
But I still gave shows everything I had, and the words I’ve said on stage aren’t lies.
It’s just that as time has passed, it’s become more and more difficult to continue on like this.
This wasn’t an easy decision to make.
I’m so glad that the members have been kind enough to listen to me and accept my decision.
I love Artemis and all of our fans.
Artemis is going places.
I don’t have the ability to help them achieve those dreams, and so I’m leaving. Yuki, Nagi, Hiroya, Zoe, our supporters, and our new vocalist will pursue those dreams instead.
Grave will disappear after 12/30.
I don’t want to leave behind any regrets, so I’ll give my last show all that I’ve got.
Please don’t be sad. A new gate is opening, so enjoy it.
Let’s make this last show the best.
Grave’s Twitter account has already been deleted. That show on December 30th marked the band’s last show of the year. They have a big announcement scheduled for New Year’s Day; hopefully it will be the addition of a new vocalist!
