Hold on out there–it’s been a rough week for Visual Kei fans. Luckily we have some good news as well: a new band to introduce. PEAK HOLD is an Osaka-based band that got its start earlier in 2013. They have already released 3 singles, and have a mini-album on the way.
First, let’s meet the members. It looks like everyone in the band is new to the Visual Kei music scene!

Hyon is the most recent addition to the band–he has been their support drummer for a while, but he joined as official drummer as of their show this past November 30th.
PEAK HOLD released 3 consecutive singles over the months of August, September and October. The first titled 「夜空」(Yozora) was released on August 15th, the second, 「モノクロ」(Monochrome), was released on September 6th, and the third, called 「シンドローム」(Syndrome) was released on October 16th. These singles all contained one track, the title track, and were sold for 500 yen at various live shows.
The band also has a mini-album in the works. According to their official site, it’s called 「バレンワート」(Barrenwort) and will be released at a special concert on March 27th at Osaka Ruido! So far, no other details have been released regarding the new CD.
PEAK HOLD is also touring the Osaka area extensively, so if you are around and interested, don’t miss them!
