Plastic Tree's Ryutaro diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome

Plastic Tree announced on Saturday that their vocalist Ryutaro Arimura has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare and incurable disorder that affects the nervous system and causes paralysis.

The vocalist had a high fever on December 21, and he complained of weakness in his body the following day. After being examined by a doctor, it was learned that he suffers from Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Under his doctor’s orders, the band decided to cancel two concerts scheduled for December 28-29 at Tokyo’s JCB Hall, despite Ryutaro’s strong desire to perform.
