This may be the first time you’re hearing his name, but you’ve probably heard his drumming before.

On December 22, 2017, drummer GAZ passed away. He was a member of Kneuklid Romance and DOVERMAN, as well as a support member for bands like The VELVETTA and Pandemic. What he is best known for in the Visual kei world, though, is one of his earliest roles in Malice Mizer. According to Mana (Malice Mizer, Moi dix Mois), his drumming is featured on Malice Mizer’s “Speed of Desperate.”

A number of artists have Tweeted about his death, including Mana, Kisaki, EURO (SPEED-iD), and YOU (THE SOUND BEE HD). He was a drummer respected by many and a friend to many more.
