Looks like there’s been quite the uproar in the D fandom in regard to a recent post by their vocalist, ASAGI, in his journal. There have been a few people who have translated the entry, but I did so as well because, well it wasn’t long and I felt that it would be best to post my own translation on the site.
So, here is a translation of this journal entry that’s causing such a scene:
And on that day, there will be an important annoucement.
The weight of the words, “Important announcement”.
I wonder, how will everyone react?
Anxiety? Or perhaps anticpation?
My thoughts, are surely the same as everyone else’s.
If I say, “I’m not afraid”,
It would probably be a lie.
My heart, by no means, is strong.
“I want to become strong”
More than anyone else, I’ve been wishing and living for that.
Therefore all of us, as D, have found an answer to that one question.
… in order to become strong.
With regard to my life and also with regard to the course of D, that day will without fail become an event that’s both a first and a last.
With the path D has taken over these five or so years, and with your own eyes and art, please be sure of a miracle.
I’ll be waiting at Zepp Tokyo, on December 21st.
So what’s happening with D? Is the big question.
Seems like the general consensus is that D is moving from indie to major. However, I’ve also heard people fearing that they’re disbanding or that ASAGI is leaving the band. What’s your stance?
Personally, after reading through a bunch of opinions, going major seems the most likely to me. But hey, it’s the visual kei world so you never know. If they do go major, I sincerely hope that they don’t drastically change. D has always been an interesting band and I’d hate for them to lose any of their ‘charm’. Or maybe it’s just that it’s hard to picture them any other way. Regardless, I hope the news is positive.
We’ll only have to wait a couple of more days.

On a side note, doesn’t that title sound really headline-ish? Haha.
