Only vocalist Mitsutaka will remain with PolterGeist following their one-man live in January. The other members seem to have different paths, but PolterGeist and Mitsutaka will have to be put on pause. But is there really hope for the band’s future? Only time can tell how Mitsutaka will pull handle this one. In the meantime, comments from the staff and the three members leaving the band were translated by Shattered-Tranquility’s Shannon. Check it out below, and maybe get some of your questions answered.
Following our 2015.1.29 (Thu) one-man at Ebisu club aim, all members besides Mitsutaka will leave the band.
This retirement was in accordance with Hakuya’s retirement after our activity restart with the current members. We will enter an activity pause with the current lineup.
Sou, Kiyuki, Kohsuke, and Mitsutaka will be walking along different paths now, but they will be continuing activities in new environments.
All Members and Staff of PolterGeist
I’ve made the decision to retire from all musical activities as well as from the band.
I’ve thought for quite some time already that PolterGeist would be my last band, and so I decided to quit musical activities at the same time as I decided to quit the band.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this bandman named Sou until now. I love you all so much. Thank you for everything until now. I’ll keep on loving you from here on out.
For our few remaining lives, I hope we can enjoy PolterGeist together with all our hearts.
I’m leaving PolterGeist along with Sou and Kohsuke.
I’m sorry this announcement is so sudden.
There are only a few lives left.
I want to enjoy them as always with all of my power until the end.
I’ll be leaving the band with our January one-man as my last.
I’m a quitter, and this is probably weird to say, but I really love PolterGeist.
Even before I decided to leave and even after I decided to leave, I’ve always thought lives are fun.
I started with the intention of staying for a long time, but I’ve become unable to go on.
I’ll try my best in my own way until the end for the lives we have left.
