HERO Reverts Back to Indies

heroizm

In a rather unprecedented move, HERO has made a decision that, for some, could be seen as a step backwards.

On November 1st, the band announced their decision to revert from major activities in favor of continuing on as an indies band. The band has been with Crown Records since June 2013. Their most recent release, 「ゼロ」 (Zero), has been revealed as their last major release. The full band announcement below taken from their OHP has been translated by yours truly:

HERO has been with Crown Records since June of last year, but as a result of prolonged discussions with those involved and the band members, HERO will make their departure from the major field and continue band activities as an indies band, with their October 22nd release “ZERO” as their final major release.

This decision was made because we feel we have gone back to our starting point, and we want to grow and achieve more once more as a band. This was a unanimous decision among band members.
From now on, we’ll try even harder to unite and grow as HERO.
In addition, we’ve decided to hold a one-man tour that encompasses our intentions of starting anew from 1, 「リトライ」(Retry).
With this tour, we hope to start anew and work towards reaching higher goals.

HERO’s concept, “we want to be someone’s only one”, has not changed.
We would feel fortunate if you would continue to walk along with us as we work towards becoming someone’s only one.
