A few days ago, NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST made a shocking announcement: both of their guitarists Cazqui and Daichi will take their leave of the band at the end of 2018. It’s not because of the typical “directional differences” or illness, though – it’s something much messier. Read our translation of the official announcement below:
“Two staff members in charge of money (named here as A and B) for the band’s label IRIS & CRISIS have continuously refused to release income statements to Cazqui and Daichi. This bred distrust in the two staff members. When they called in lawyers to demand that A and B release income statements, it was revealed that staff member A had been using large sums of money for both personal use and other unknown reasons.
In addition to the realization of this scandal, it was also revealed that past music composition bills and merchandise design bills had been left unpaid. Both Cazqui and Daichi stated, “It’s not possible for us to continue band activities with NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST in this kind of environment and produce quality music and performances for our fans.” This resulted in the decision for both members to leave the band at the end of this year.”
The news has come as a surprise not only to fans, but to other bands as well. Bandmen have been voicing their disappointment on social media.
Both Cazqui and Daichi promised fans that they would give their remaining performances their all. The remaining members promise the same.
What will happen to the band after their guitarists leave is still undecided, but we will keep you updated.
