Sad news for Avanchick fans! This new band seemed to have a bright future, and it seems like only yesterday we were shouting at them. However, they may be off to a bad start. Guitarist Yoshito is retiring or walking away? Comments from the band were translated by our very own Shannon, and are available for you below!
Regarding Gt. Yoshito’s Retirement
We are deeply sorry for this sudden announcement, but guitarist Yoshito will be departing from the band.
He has had problems in the technical field since predating band activities, but we believed in his will to try hard, and that his [lack of skill] was compensated for by the other members.
However, on the contrary to our expectations of him, he neglected our attempts to contact him regarding the arrangement of new songs, and he didn’t participate in all of the recording sessions scheduled for the new songs. In a meeting held a few days ago, we reassessed his intentions, and he said that he no longer had the will to keep trying and expressed his wish to leave the band. We accepted that decision.
We thought that he would at least complete the schedule of performances already set, but Yoshito expressed his desire to leave right away. He has left the band as of today. Starting from the next live on October 17 at Ikebukuro EDGE, Avanchick will continue on band activities as 4 members.
We understand that this will cause trouble to all of our fans, those involved, and a great number of people, but the remaining members will try to repay you all for the trouble caused from the bottom of their hearts, so please continue to watch over them warmly.
I’m sorry things have come to this even though it’s been just three months since we began activities.
Both as a member and as his sempai, I feel disappointed and frustrated.
I want to try my best to accept the current situation and move forward with all of my power. I can’t hide my shock and turmoil, but please continue to give this 4-member Avanchick your warm support.
Please continue to support us.
First of all, I’d like to apologize to all fans and those involved for this sudden news.
And, I have one more thing that I need to apologize for.
Concerning the reason for Yoshito’s retirement, I wanted to create a fake reason and say it was due to sickness or to musical differences.
I wanted to hide the truth and send off Yoshito with even a slightly better image.
However, I’ve spoiled him like this in the past, and he failed to try hard enough… Thinking this, I decided to make the announcement without lying.
As the leader of this band, I hold the thought “I’ll do anything for you that I can.” I think that was the beginning and the main cause of this.
As the leader of this band, I regret that I wasn’t able to foster everyone’s will to try.
However, it’s a fact that members younger than him have put forth their effort to help polish this band.
I think that he will be carried by the harsh tides of the real world, and as a friend, I hope that it will teach him many things.
Though he is leaving like this, please continue to watch over Yoshito warmly.
First, I apologize to all of our fans for this kind of thing happening.
Out of all the members, I brag about getting along best with Yoshito, so I had talked with him about his opinion of the band before the band meeting and recording incidents.
At that time, it revived in my heart the memories of him saying “I’ll do my best”; I don’t want to believe that things have come to this.
At the same time, I feel like my thoughts didn’t reach Yoshito. It brought me to the painful realization of my own weak-mindedness.
Avanchick will only be 4 members from now on, but we’ll keep trying our best despite the circumstances. Please continue to support us.
First of all, I would like to apologize to all of our fans and those involved for the circumstances.
I loved him as a senior member and as a person.
But, from all of this, I’ve learned that the very reason this happens is because while we’re being supported by all of you, we need to work towards supporting you in turn… and that one of our jobs is to make sure all of the members act as one.
As a member of this band, I am full of frustration and disappointment; but as someone inexperiences, I would like to take this as just one more experience and to use it as a springboard for activities from now.
Avanchick will continue on as 4 members from now, but I want to move forward as this band’s drummer, so please continue to support us.
With Yoshito out of the picture, Avanchick will need all the support they can get. If you want to give them that support and show them you’ll stick with them even through these tough times, check out their live schedule and get yourself a ticket! Help them finish off the year on a strong note.
