Kuroyume is approaching its 20th year since its formation, but they aren’t stopping anytime soon.
We’ve got several announcements for you today, readers. First up, we’ve got not one, but two new singles being released on the same day. 「ゲルニカ」(Guernica) and “I HATE YOUR POPSTAR LIFE” are both set to release on December 11th. 「ゲルニカ」 has been chosen as the theme song for the upcoming Japanese horror movie 「バイロケーション」 (Bilocation). The film is adapted from a novel that took first prize in Japan’s 17th Annual Horror Novel Awards.
Both singles come in three types. Type A and Type B for both 「ゲルニカ」 and “I HATE YOUR POPSTAR LIFE” are valued at 1890yen and contain a CD and DVD. The regular editions cost 1260. CDJapan links and full tracklists aren’t out yet, but keep an eye out! We’ll have them up soon. Also, the singles come with a ticket to apply for a better chance at getting tickets to Kuroyume’s Budoukan oneman in January.
Wait, Budoukan oneman?
That’s right. On January 29th, Kuroyume is taking their music all the way to the famous Nippon Budoukan. The show is called “96 TO CAGE,” and, fittingly, regular tickets cost 9600yen. But, if you’re a fanclub member, you can snag them for 8600yen instead. Even better, if you’re a student, you can get 1000yen cashback if you just show your ID at the venue. Ticket sales start as early as November 23rd on e-Plus, and regular ticket sales begin on December 28th.
There’s also one more thing happening on January 29th, though.
Kuroyume will be releasing their full-length album, 「黒と影」(Kuro to Kage)! The album was originally set to be released on November 6th, but since it is still in the recording stages, the release date has been moved. It should be worth the wait, though!
「黒と影」will come in three types. The Limited Edition, 6000yen, will feature 12 tracks, including the two new singles and “KINGDOM.” It also features four music videos and additional footage for around 50 minutes of total bonus content. The CD+DVD Edition will cost 3990yen and contain 12 tracks and a DVD. The Regular Edition, priced at 2500yen, will have a bonus track for a total of 13 songs. First-press preorders at CDJapan are running low, so get those credit cards out!
So, Kuroyume fans, are you excited for this winter? If you haven’t started your wishlist for the holidays yet, you’d better start now!
