Merry's Tetsu Hospitalized After Crowd Incident

merry

Sometimes when you attend a live, bad things happen and someone can get hurt.

Usually it’s just not the bandguys.

Merry’s bassist, Tetsu, was involved in an incident at the band’s live on 10/12 at Okayama CRAZYMAMA KINGDOM, where Tetsu was pulled into the crowd and injured. The details are currently fuzzy, but Tetsu was rushed to the hospital and has been pulled from the remainder of the band’s planned event lives for the “Freaks Addict Tour beyond.”

The news broke yesterday night and was announced on the band’s OHP almost immediately after the incident.

The following post has been translated by Shattered Tranquility’s Ku:

An Important Announcement

An incident occurred in the floor-level audience area during the current “Freaks Addict Tour beyond” on October 12th (Sat) at Okayama CRAZYMAMA KINGDOM.
Tetsu of MERRY was dragged in, and then immediately transported to a hospital, but he is currently fully conscious.
However, we are taking the situation seriously, and as per the doctor’s orders, have decided for Tetsu to be admitted for a hospital stay for the sake of evaluation.

We will notify everyone via each band’s official home page regarding the outlook for his return.

As for MERRY’s performances at the “Freaks Addict Tour beyond” after this, they will be continued for the time being with the remaining four members; the original timetable will also be changed for MERRY to perform first at each venue. We ask for your understanding.

Additionally, we are working with the venues for guests who wish for a ticket refund; we apologize for the inconvenience, but please take your ticket for an exchange at each venue.

We are terribly sorry for troubling and inconveniencing all of our fans at this time.

We ask for your continued support of the “Freaks Addict Tour beyond.”

Scary!

As many fans know, getting hurt at a live isn’t all that uncommon, but usually it is only the fans getting hurt. It is important to remember that you should be courteous at all lives, not only to your fellow fans, but the musicians as well. Thankfully, it is expected that Tetsu will make a full recovery but we will update fans when more on the story progresses.
