Back in 1999, KONAMI released a Yu-Gi-Oh trading card game, which is still going strong today! As they celebrate fifteen years of trading and tournaments, KONAMI has started uploading a special tournament, called 「遊戯王アーク・ファイブOCG (仮)スマがゆく！」 (Yu-Gi-Oh Arch V OCG (Kari)suma ga Yuki!) on YouTube featuring performers. The tournament is headed Masumi and Ruri; the duo who sang the ending theme, “One Step”, P☆Cute.
Currently the series is focusing on Masumi and Ruri finding cards to battle with, and has been introducing the upcoming performer duelists one at a time. With their most recent installment, they have not only finished the introductions, but have announced that ViViD’s very own IV will be participating in the tournament!
In his first round, IV will be battling against Mizuho Hata, a television, movie, and voice actress.
You can see IV’s introduction in the video below, however, footage of him dueling with Mizuho will be released on the Yu-Gi-Oh Official Card Game channel on October 24th.
Tune in to see if IV will come out victorious!
IV has mentioned his love for Yu-Gi-Oh in the past, and even has it listed on his Twitter profile as one of his favourites. He’s also mentioned on Twitter that he has participated in Yu-Gi-Oh duels before. I’m sure all ViViD fans will be cheering for him!
