After more than ten years of activity, DEATHGAZE has announced that they will be going on an activity pause at the end of this year. The band has confirmed that they are unsure how long the activity pause will be, but all feel that it’s the right choice for their futures.
The following announcement was posted on the band’s OHP:
Thank you for all your support.
It’s sudden, but after the December 23rd live DEATHGAZE will take a break from activities.
The length of the break is uncertain.
Last year we saw our tenth anniversary and began our eleventh year of activities, but we think that with “ENIGMA” we’ve exhausted what we can do as this group of four people.
As we’ve been creating this work, we’ve felt that a “DEATHGAZE” that’s above and beyond what we are now won’t be born of it,
And we apologize for how sudden this is, to the fans who support us and to all related persons,
But the result of countless discussions about where to go from ENIGMA is that we feel this is the best choice, and that it’s a forward-facing decision.
We will carry out the remaining lives this year with all of our hearts and all of our strength as we have until now, so please lend us your support.

The band is no longer accepting new applications for their fanclub, due to their upcoming hiatus. Information for current fanclub members about the future of the club will be available at a later date.
DEATHGAZE fans, are you surprised about their hiatus? Or did you see it coming?
