Matenrou Opera announced yesterday that drummer Yu, who has been absent from band activities since June to recover from a herniated disc, will return to the band in November. His comeback will coincide with the November 16th fan club-limited performance at Shibuya O-WEST.
In addition to the brief official announcement appearing on the band’s OHP and blog, Yu himself followed with a blog entry with his thoughts on the matter.
As announced on our homepage, it’s been decided that I’ll make my return to the stage at our fan club-limited live, “Club Matenrou Gentei LIVE 2013 in TOKYO” on November 16th.
Since I was personally aiming for a speedy return, I’m a little relieved myself that I can be on stage again with this timing, even though it may seem like someone else’s place.
Even though I understood the reason, I was unable to get over the sadness of being unable to stand on stage.
To be honest, I can’t say that I didn’t feel a a sense of pressure put on myself that I must recover quickly.
However, it doesn’t mean that I decided to return hastily.
Even the doctor gave me approval to play the drums, and even though it’s only bit by bit right now I’m rehabilitating myself by playing our songs.
Since I know there are bound to still be fans who are worried, I can’t completely say that I myself am completely worry-free.
But, I can’t help that more than that I’m happily looking forward to returning to the stage.
I’m working hard on preparing myself to be able to have a good time with everyone who comes to our lives, so I’d be happy for you to wait in anticipation first for the limited fan club live and then the “as if an Orb Tour.”
I’m sorry for causing so much concern.
And thank you, really, for cheering me on.
I want to completely fulfill everyone’s hopes for the CDs and lives from now on, too.
