MeteoroiD Tones it Down and Changes it Up

Fans and band members alike may be mourning the departure of guitarist Yutori, but MeteoroiD has a lot more in store for you.

Yes, that’s right: METEOROID has now become “MeteoroiD”, just one of the many updates the band has made recently. September 27th marked not only the end of beloved Yutori’s career with the band, but also the end of “METEOROID”. Along with the name stylization adjustment, MeteoroiD has made some changes to their OHP. Perhaps the most obvious change is the band’s new image. Gone are the days of glowing green; they have made way for the black- and lace-dominated costumes that evoke images of Western funerals to mind.

MeteoroiD had one more announcement up their black sleeves: an upcoming sponsored live. The announcement is revealed at the end of this eerie video uploaded to the band’s YouTube channel:

On November 21st, you will have the chance to witness the band’s new look in person at none other than Takadanobaba AREA. Check out the live details below:

November 21st @ Takadanobaba AREA
MeteoroiD sponsored live 「sokubaku ~鳥籠ノ沙羅双樹ハ死華ノ花~」 (sokubaku~torikago no sarasoju wa shihana no hana~)
Ticket: 3500yen advance/4000yen same day
With: SCAPEGOAT / Fixer / Zillapark / ミサルカ (Misaruka) / EXEQUTE / etc.

MeteoroiD has another big announcement plan for the show, making it one that can absolutely not be missed.

Just who is the doll in that mysterious video? Perhaps you can find out a bit more on her official Twitter account…Let us know what you find out!

I wouldn’t mind the band switching their style for something more eerie and darker, fingers crossed :3
