Közi (ZIZ, DALLE, VAMQUET, ex. Malice Mizer) has been feeling a little under the weather lately, and apparently it was more serious than he thought.
On September 23rd, the guitarist and vocalist extraordinaire Tweeted that he went to the hospital to get his painful throat checked out.* He then traveled to Niigata to play a solo act at a festival.
Just a few hours ago, Közi updated his Twitter with a thank you to all the fans who showed up to the Niigata show. Then he Tweeted, “I spiked a high fever after the show and was hospitalized this morning. They say it’s acute laryngitis and laryngeal edema. I didn’t even get to eat any of Niigata’s delicious food. Time to start the IV drip life.”
His humor can hopefully be considered as a sign that his illness is not too serious. Let’s hope he’s feeling better by his next ZIZ show on September 29th. We’ll update you when he’s made a full recovery!
*Author’s note: In Japan, a hospital checkup is usually the same level of severity as visiting your local doctor’s office. When you’re advised to actually be hospitalized, then it’s serious.
