Introducing: Logic

The don’t have an OHP, any releases, a regular live schedule, or a full four- or five-person band, but chances are if you’ve been around the visual kei indies scene for a little while, you recognize them.

Since entering an indefinite hiatus in January 2014, members the infamous medical band LuLu have started side projects, filled in as support members, and held occasional but unofficial “medical examinations” (that is, lives) on an irregular basis.

This summer, something new emerged: vocalist Taa announced on Twitter that he would be starting a new band, and on July 27th, Logic (ロジック) held its first show.

The only official members are the formal head doctor Taa himself — on not only vocals but also guitar — and LuLu’s former bassist, Maatsun (on bass again, of course). Support members have joined them on stage over the course of their three-show career. Lives are generally mellow and described as “rest time,” which may be quite the surprise for anyone familiar with LuLu’s brand of rowdy, almost violent performances.

There are currently no additional lives ahead, but perhaps that’s because LuLu is preparing for a gig for Taa’s birthday just tomorrow, on September 23rd! Without an OHP it may be hard to keep an eye out for updates, but Taa has made a second Twitter account for just that purpose.

We hope to see more from them soon!
