What a way to announce a comeback.
SuG announced today in spectacular fashion that they are back and ready for more!
As many readers know, SuG separated from PSC Company last year and went on hiatus. It seemed like many fans lost hope of a return after the vocalist, Takeru, announced his solo activities and a One-Man come this December.
However, things were not quite what they seemed.
Over the last several days, members of SuG began posting on their twitters a time and date, and then announced to fans that something very special would be occurring on August 20th in Harajuku, at the Jingumae Crossing. Come the time, according to natalie.mu, the major advertisement screen began playing a very special video of SuG, announcing that on December 29th (the date of Takeru’s planned ‘solo one man’) SuG will be having their comeback show titled “SuG Onemanshow 2013 update ver. 0″.
Of course, that wasn’t the only amazing thing SuG fans experienced, as the band set up a stage across from the screen and had an impromptu mini-live immediately after the announcement for shocked and joyous fans. Over 500 people gathered to hear SuG perform “gr8 story” before being informed that their concert was a safety hazard and had to be called off. Still, fans were more than thrilled to have experienced such an amazing opportunity and to learn of the revival of their sorely-missed band.
In addition, Takeru’s original NicoNico episode was supposed to play during the 21:00 timeframe, but was quickly redacted for the announcement. Any fan who hadn’t been able to attend the impromptu live and revealing that afternoon was able to find out about SuG’s return via the NicoNico broadcast.
You will be able to see SuG’s comeback live on December 29th at Kokuritsu Yoyogi Kyogiba Daiichi Taikukan. Tickets are a pricey ¥5980, but for a SuG fan the price is more than worth it. Fanclub members will be able to get their tickets early, so if you want the best ticket available, information will be available on their fanclub site.
