MERRY is adding another floor to their multi-level “NOnsenSe MARkeT,” which has so far consisted of three tours: B1, 1F, and 2F. This time, instead of a tour, MERRY is hosting a two-day festival and inviting several of their friends along. Named for MERRY’s ruminant mascot, “NOnsenSe MARkeT 3F –Lamb Fest–” will take place on Thursday, November 5th and Saturday, November 7th.

You may notice that MERRY is listed twice in the lineup for the November 7th show, once as MERRY and once as メリー. The former is how they currently typeset their name, while the latter was the band’s official name prior to their move to FREE WILL in 2010. The event listing on MERRY’s official website also depicts MERRY with the band’s current artist photo and メリー with artwork from the band’s first single 「はいからさんが通る。」 (Haikara-San ga Tooru.), released in 2002:
This would seem to imply that MERRY will be performing some kind of throwback to their early years, whether by playing old songs, donning costumes in their early style, or both. As the lineup has only just been announced, information is scarce, but we’ll keep our eyes and ears open here at S-T.net should more details arise.
Edit October 27, 2015: This article previously referred to the event as “Ram Fest” to match a reference on MERRY’s OHP. The band’s OHP has since been updated with a page calling the event “Lamb Fest” and so the article has been corrected accordingly.
