We promised you member comment translations after we let you know about ALSDEAD’s plans to pause activities, and here they are.
While the activity pause is surely disappointing to fans, it seems like it was a mutual decision made by all members in order to seize new opportunities. Make your own judgement by reading the comments below (translated by yours truly):
I’m sure all of you that love ALSDEAD are shocked.
It’s not that the atmosphere at our lives is bad at all, so don’t worry about that.
There are too many things that have happened to talk about here.
I’ve met so many people and had such fulfilling moments.
Each of those experiences has made me into who I am today.
This the decision that my trusted members and I came to after a lot of talking.
I’m so grateful and so, so sorry to all of our ALSERS.
But honestly, I think I was able to take this next step because of you.
I’m sorry, and thank you.
There isn’t much time left, but we’ll give you a show that only we can put on.
With all the love in my heart
I’m sure this sudden news is confusing for you.
First of all, I want to convey my gratitude to everyone that has supported us.
The reason we were able to continue on so long was because of your support.
The songs and memories we’ve created are an important part of my life.
There’s no way I’ll ever forget these past 7 years with the best members and ALSERs you could ask for.
Honestly, this is the best condition our band has been in.
Despite that, we’ve chosen to pause activities because we’ve come across new opportunities to chase even bigger dreams.
Maybe it’s not a decision that you can accept right now, but this our resolve after a lot of worrying and agonizing.
We want to show you that we haven’t made the wrong decision with the short amount of time we have left.
We’ll put our all into ALSDEAD until the end, so please come see us.
It’s been 4 years since I joined ALSDEAD.
I’ve been able to play music I love with members and ALSERS that I love.
As long as our ALSERS were there, so were we. When you laughed, we were happy. When you were down, we wanted to cheer you up.
To us, it was like ALSERS shared our heart.
I’m nothing but grateful to you. Thank you so much.
But somewhere along the line of our discussions, we decided to go on hiatus.
Maybe it’s selfish, but I want you to understand that it wasn’t an easy decision to make.
I want you to think of this as a positive thing.
This was a positive decision for us, so don’t think of it as a negative thing.
This is a decision we made in order for ALSDEAD to keep moving forward.
There aren’t many shows left, but they won’t be depressing ones.
I hope everyone will find a way to smile at our last show at Takadanobaba AREA on 10/9.
Believe in us until the end.
As we announced earlier, ALSDEAD will be entering a hiatus.
ALSDEAD has been together for 7 years, but I’ve only been here for about a year and a half.
Of course I want to keep playing with the band,
But this is what decided on after a lot of discussion about what was best for everyone.
It took a long, long time until we made this choice. It’s because we love ALSDEAD so much.
I’ve come this far because of our amazing ALSERS and band members.
Though it’s only been a little while since I joined, it’s been fun and fulfilling.
Thank you so much.
There are only a few shows left, but we’ll give them our all as always, so please come and see us.
Hopefully that shed some light on the members’ decision. For information on their last shows, check out our previous article.
