I’m guessing most of you guys already know about this but just in case – we’re posting it here for those who have missed it. Seems like Yoshiki is in a bit of trouble involving hide’s management company Headwax.

More details have emerged regarding the impending lawsuit between Japan Music Agency (the management office of X Japan’s Yoshiki) and Headwax Organization (the management office of X Japan’s late guitarist Hide). It was learned several days ago that Headwax plans to seek an injunction against X Japan’s use of Hide’s likeness unless they fulfill their contractual obligations, and now Yoshiki has declared that he may file a counter-suit if that happens.
X Japan has previously used images of Hide during their concerts. Most recently, X Japan performed two shows at Nissan Stadium on August 14-15.
Yoshiki informed the media on Thursday that Japan Music Agency (JMA) received a formal notice from Headwax on August 17. Headwax claims that the contract regarding the use of Hide’s likeness is invalid unless JMA completes its part of the arrangement. According to the statement, JMA owes 2 billion yen to Nexstar Corporation (X Japan’s former production company), while Nexstar owes 300 million yen to Headwax.
The situation is complicated by the fact that Yoshiki filed a lawsuit against Nexstar this past March, seeking roughly 375 million yen in unpaid revenue from 2008 and 2009. Sources say that the issue regarding Hide’s image started around that time, and that the matter picked up steam in early May, when an event for the 13th death anniversary of Hide was held.
Yoshiki and JMA publicly responded to Headwax’s notice, stating that if Headwax does follow through with a lawsuit, then there will likely be a counterclaim. Headwax said that their lawyer plans to release an official comment within the next few days.

This, and their image, made me lmfao.
Seriously, X Japan died a looong time ago, just let it be.
Yoshiki needs to go away, just like Gackt, and just stay away. Enough is enough with the both of them.
intelligent comment.
When I first read about it I was thinking “who else if not x japan?” seriously.. It’s getting kinda ridiculous..
I do no think X Japan died, I grew up on their music, and I am glad to see they started up again despite the challenges they faced. They are trying to continue the legacy they started so many years ago. It is absurd to say that a band dies. Because they will always leave behind the music that they made, that is always timeless music.
even hide who is not physically here anymore
even tho he is gone, his music still touches the heart of fans and as well inspires new fans on a daily basis.
I am proud that X is come back because I grew up on their music, and never had the chance to see them. This is my second opportunity to go to a X Japan live. I went to the LA shoot, and the foundation party with my close friends/bandmates who i call my family. And overall those experiences are ones we will always treasure till our last breath.
I know it seems crazy the situation of lawsuits with X
however, you have to realize how big they are in their music spectrum, of course company will want to get money. I think its a disrespect for the company to sue over the images and likeness of hide. He is a person, not a product. And secondly on stage playing with him are his family, his band family
I wish X japan the best luck in this situation
and i will always stay a firm supporter
We love hide: Best in the world!
we are x!
Somewhat irrelevant to the lawsuit, but I’m amused that because Toshi loves his sunglasses so much, he doesn’t get to wear a mask.
Toshi said his sunglasses are his mask ^,^/
This lawsuit is truly regrettable but,
X Japan will never die.<3
That picture just doesn’t make me take this seriously. xD
maaaan! I was looking at the rss feed and I see toshi’s solo and I was all “YAAAAAY!” I see this crap and I say “Oh f**k”
bwaaaah screw lawsuits baby, Hide is everyone’s. The man is dead and yet they are still fighting over his body? GOOOOO AWAY! I think the people should counter, plaster his face ever where, music videos, posters, movies, anything to show these people that you can own a face and think people are going to take it lying down so you can get your pocket change.
Man, does Yoshiki still thinks he’s still pretty? the first picture looks horrible for me!
