Recent Updates for JILLS BLUE ROSES

Despite woes for JILLS BLUE ROSES earlier this year, the band has stuck it out and battled on as a band. Their work has been paying off this summer, too! You might notice that their look has changed somewhat dramatically, but what you don’t see in their official photo is their new guitarist, 希燐亜 (Kirina), who joined the band after playing as a support member at JILLS’s July 30th gig at Ikebukuro CYBER. For anyone who may be wondering, Kirina is ex-MIDAS, where he was known as Kent.

In other news, the band had released a new maxi single — their third — on July 11th, titled 『カレイドスコープ』 (“Kaleidoscope”). The track listing is as follows:
1. KALEIDOSCOPE
2. JBR★
3. 欲望サレンダー (Remixed Version) (Yokubou Surrender)

The CD can be picked up for ¥1300 at the band’s official online shop, but unfortunately won’t ship overseas, and with the release not for sale on CDJapan, it may be a little hard to come by.

On the live front, JILLS put on their second two-month consecutive self-sponsored live at the beginning of this month. With that success behind them, they’re moving forward with a fairly active live schedule and have several shows scheduled for the next couple of weeks.

Well since it’s on their own online shop, it should be able to buy it with the help of cdjapan.

Since they have a special request form, getting them to buy it for you is not a problem, they are a bit expensive, but if you really want it, this is by far the easiest option.

    http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/request/shopping.html

Just click the blue box saying request form.

That’s a good tip! When we say something isn’t available on CDJapan, we just mean it’s not in their product listings. Of course, virtually anything is obtainable with a shopping service. I realize their offer’s a bit different than a typical shopping service, but yes, the fees still stack up..

I only use cdjapan that way, if it’s something that i really want… REALLY want.

I got D.I.D.’s demo cd with their help.

One noticeable thing about them though, they’re willing to go far in order to get the stuff you request.

I can imagine it’s worth it if there’s really no other way; it’s really cool that there are at least options for that now, as opposed to just having no access at all. Even better that they’re good at what they do.

There are WAY cheaper shopping services, but it’s difficult to figure out how they work.

Which is why i ended up finding a friend living in Japan, much easier to get cd’s now :P

Darn it reply button, we are not friends anymore!

    • Ku

That is DEFINITELY the best way to do it. :)

      • DKjapanesefreak

        Yup!

So guys, in order to properly support your fav indie bands, get a friend! Who just randomly happens to live in Japan, that’ll be your glorious way to the awesome cd’s!
