KAMIJO‘s New York and Mexico shows have been in the works for a while. Unfortunately, just a week before they were set to happen, both shows were abruptly canceled by their Mexican promoter Zepeda Bros. This announcement from B7Klan was posted on both Facebook and KAMIJO’s OHP:
“Dear KAMIJO fans from North America,
We are deeply sorry to announce today that shows planned in NYC and Mexico will not be performed due to failure from Mexican Promoter. Cancelation from Mexican Promoter has been informed to us yesterday without any previous sign and without any previous discussion. On 15th of august, Mexican promoter posted on his social networks note that confirmed the show.We are all very shocked from this attitude. The Artist is very sorry about this situation. His musicians and himself were ready to perform these shows and till the end made everthing to make this happening. Both North America shows were linked and the result is that they can not be perfomed. We request fans who purchased tickets already to get reimbursement from local dealers.
Shows planned for Paris on september the 2nd and 4th are completely confirmed and will be performed!!!
Seeing as this isn’t the first time KAMIJO’s overseas performances have been postponed or canceled, it wouldn’t be too far of a stretch to say he doesn’t have very good luck with going outside of Japan.
That won’t stop him from performing in Paris in just a couple of weeks, though. Check out our previous article for details on those shows.
