ViViD going major

Amazing news for all ViViD’s fans – the band has announced that they’ll be going major soon!
There are not many details available, but it seems that they’ll be joinig EPIC Records Japan (part of Sony Music Entertainment) in January 2011. They’ll have their last indies oneman on December 27th @ Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall!

awesomeee. yeah they’re young band but very promising and they actually play some really great music! they’re not just one of those pretty boy bands. i think they will be big one day!

that’s what came to my mind at first too…that screw is still indie and vivid has been together like for one year…maybe screw doesn’t want to go major or i don’t know but i also think they won’t be indie forever xD maybe after the new album we will see the news that “screw going major”…

Though ViViD is pretty new the guys have been around in other bands for quite a while. Looks like their hard work has paid off. I’m so happy for them

yesterday i was dissapointed of NoGod with his major album…that was horrible..they sound like gazette now T_T no special anymore , and now Vivid…why the bands going to be major….
i hope that screw dont be major…i hate this think. ^^

Not that I care if they’re indie or major, but I think SCREW deserve it much more. If they want to go major, that is.
So they’ll be part of the “PSC” roster now, that’s really good news.
It means that they have what it takes to be major – fanbase, name, enough publicity and all. I think it’s really good news. I believe I’ve posted somewhere here before that everyone has their time to shine
Although it might sound weird that these boys are calling Screw-gumi as senpais when they’ve gone ahead than them

Can’t say this surprises me. They look and sound like a major band [read: cutesy, poppy, somewhat boring, saccharine lyrics]. To be honest, it was obvious from the get-go that these guys were aiming to go major, no matter the cost. Screw, whom I think we can all agree is superior and a million times more deserving, are older and probably have a better handle on the music industry in general. I imagine they’ll stay indies unless they can get a contract that allows them musical freedom. I’d hate for Screw to end up being another pop-rock band.

awww that is quite fast… I honestly wanted screw to become the next MAJOR, I didn’t expect Vivid to be the next major… I kinda feel bad for screw, but that’s only cus I like them! …. Alot… I wonder how Screw react to this in my oppinion!
I love both bands, but honestly imo ViViD do deserve this.
They’re trying their hardest, at least.
Besides, ViViD’s music has always been the type to appeal to the “wider audience”

If the other 2 bands go before them, well… that’s saying something isn’t it D;
& to those that worry about their sound changing I hardly think that the boys would change anything drastically what with having such a solid sound already…

I’m not going to say they don’t deserve it. Because anyone that works hard at anything deserves recognition and promotion.
Still…this is surprising. ViViD’s vocals are not up to par in my opinion, and sure some of the band members were in bands before this… I really think it just comes down to what others have already said. Their sound was geared toward this since their second single.
They have the right sound and they seem to be able to adapt well.
Though truth be told, I think companies are just getting better at molding bands to make more money. And please don’t strangle me for saying that, as I have followed two of the members in ViviD for some time and I am really glad to see them on their way to making it. But business is business.
I agree with you, with one exception. I don’t think it was the record label molding them. I think ViViD went into this wanting this sound/style for themselves. PSC polished them up a bit, but I think ViViD would have gone in this direction on any label.
I love both SCREW and ViViD but everyone should stop comparing them!!! They clearly have the sound the record company wants, and that’s why they got signed to the record label.
So good for them!! I really love the vocals and Across the Border has a really great guitar solo.
Hopefully this will make it easier to find some of their music in America

why SCREW arent major yet is because they dont have the fanbase, they dont have the success, they dont have the ability to write many catchy songs (no matter if hard or poppy) in a short amount of time.
they rather put indifferent screamo guitar sometthing noisy awful uncatchy tracks on their releases CAUSE THEY LACK THE GOOD MATERIAL.
dont get me wrong, screw has many awesome tracks, i like the band.

and why are people bringing SCREW into this? ViViD is obviously more popular, so it’s no surprise they get to go major before them. just because screw has been around longer, doesn’t mean they deserve it more than the others. it’s the talent that counts, not how long they’ve been around. not that i think screw is untalented or anything
Going major already? Go, ViViD! Maybe this means they’ll start touring internationally. That would be nice.
im glad for them but i do miss the style they used for take off and dear but i like the direction they’re going for. go iv and ko-ki!!!!!!!!!!!
