After a lot of ups and down (and server crashes), Pokemon GO was finally released in Japan yesterday. Along with its release came a flood of pictures from people all over Japan showing their prized catches.
A fair amount of those people are some of your favorite visual kei bandmen! We combed Twitter a bit to find who’s catching what. Here are some Pokemon trainers we’ve found so far.
raL of MeteoroiD shows off his catch.
“Morning. I found a Bulbasaur in my neighborhood! I want a Pikachu!”
Vetchie from Misaruka beat raL to the punch, though.
“I got a Pikachu!!!!!”
“I caught a Dratini!”
Miku of An Cafe openly declares his Team Valor status.
ZERO (ex. D’espairsRay) catches an interesting looking Pikachu…
“I started playing Pokemon GO! I got a Pikachu!”
Itsuki of THE BLACK SWAN laments the endless stream of Doduo in the area.
“There are so many Doduo that I’m starting to laugh and think, ‘Not another Doduo…’ every time I see one…”
Hiro of NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST started playing on their Europe tour. He seems to be having just as much fun naming his Pokemon as he is catching them.
Black Gene For the Next Scene‘s Ice is no exception to the Pokemon GO bandwagon, but he also warns people to be safe while playing!
“Everyone’s playing Pokemon GO. Everyone who isn’t playing it is saying, “Wow, everyone’s playing Pokemon GO!” It’s an odd scene. Of course, I’m playing too. I’m also playing Pokemon Tournament. Everyone, make sure you don’t cause any accidents!”
Meanwhile, Rame is on the fence about playing. Perhaps you can convince him?
“I don’t really understand Pokemon, but I wonder if I should jump on the bandwagon and start playing GO, haha.”
