T.M.Revolution has teamed up with Japanese candy company LOTTE to promote their gum brand ZEUS by participating in a stormy battle.
Currently in the middle of his LIVE REVOLUTION’13-UNDER:COVER2- nationwide tour, which is taking him around 22 cities (and wearing him out with 32 performances over three months), T.M.Revolution will beam to the other side of the planet to appear in Baltimore, MD, for Otakon‘s 20th anniversary celebration, where he will be joined on stage by HOME MADE Kazoku. This will mark his second appearance at the convention, his first being his American debut in 2003.
But the guardians of Mt. Olympus won’t let him cross the
River Styx Pacific Ocean without facing them first.
In anticipation of what is sure to be an epic showdown, LOTTE has set up a website and released two commercials. Both commercials play off T.M.Revolution’s reputation as a “STORM PERFORMER” by incorporating extreme weather elements. But while one commercial takes a more ominous and dramatic, perhaps melodramatic, approach, the other is more on the comedic side.
The initial commercials were released on July 22nd, and next week, on the 29th, 600 fans will attend the actual battle – an event that will feature the premiere of “Summer Blizzard,” a cool new track that T.M.Revolution wrote exclusively for the ZEUS promotion. Win or lose, the footage from that event will be used in a third ZEUS commercial that will premiere online on July 30th and will air nation-wide on Japanese media beginning in early August.
