Today, on July 20 at 0:00 JST, 摩天楼オペラ (Matenrou Opera) unleashed the water element with a digital single, and it sure is making a splash! The digital single is titled 『青く透明なこの神秘の海へ』(Aoku toumei na kono shinpi no umi e) and is available on the Japanese iTunes store for only ¥250. The digital single contains one 8-minute long song that incorporates classical guitar, sitar, mandolin, etc. sounds to create an exotic symphony. This is Matenrou Opera’s longest song in their entire discography! Check out the preview of the song below:

The release of the new digital single, which represents the water element, marks the third of five elements released by Matenrou Opera in their quest to create a new gaia from music. Matenrou Opera has two more elements to release–earth and fire! One of the two elements will be released next month in August as the last digital single in their campaign, and the final element will be released as a physical single in October. We’ll keep you posted as more details are released!

It’s been an exciting year for Matenrou Opera fans. What do you think will happen after all five elements are released?
