After OZ’s disbandment last month, fans expected it to be a long while before hearing about a new band or any musical activity from the members. Many fans, awash with the loss of the 8-year-old band which was considered one of the leaders in current Visual Kei, expected a period of grieving like one would receive for the loss of a close friend. However, it seems it’s time for members to begin lifting their veils.
And the first member to announce anything (albeit very quietly) is Zukki.
It was announced recently that Zukki has joined a new session band with ex-VAJRA’s Vocalist Nobro (Now Byaku) and Bassist Kiyuki. The band’s name, ドップラー (Doppler) seems to be very new, not even having an OHP*, but they have already planned their second live for 8/29.
So, if you’d like to check out this session band, now may be your only chance!
8/29 @ Takadanobaba AREA
Brand New Wave
Act: Annie’s Black, ISDEAD, PlusMagic, Nobady, Revlez, Belmosaic, Doppler
*Reporter’s Note: There are many Session bands in Japan, with most never actually forming into full-fledged bands. Thus, the creation of an OHP is rather pointless since oftentimes these sessions last for only a brief period of time. If they do create an OHP though, it signifies something rather big, and we will keep on the lookout should any information arise!
