Nico Nico Nama - July 7-13

Hi readers! How many of you donned your nicest yukata this week for Tanabata? Did you write down your wishes on tanzaku and tie them to a bamboo tree? Ernie wished for safety and protection from the looming typhoon “Neoguri” that’s targeting Japan right now, not just for Orihime and Hikoboshi, but for everybody in Japan right now (especially Okinawa, where one person has already lost their life). Stay indoors and stay safe, everybody!

Last week, we had a packed schedule for Nico Nico Nama. SaTaN, WeZ, CELL, GIGAMOUS, Chanty, LOST ASH, and An Cafe all did their things, and we got to see a livestream of a concert at Shibuya REX, featuring LOST ASH, JILLED RAY, WeZ, Diz, and FOODED SEAL. Wednesday brought us a rockin’ Visualism playlist, too.

This week, the pickin’s are a bit more slim. We still have our weekly Visualism to look forward to, and An Cafe will surely return. Other than that, we’ve got an episode of Tokimeki Visu-NIGHT starring Moran and THE SURVIVORZ’14*‘s Aiji (also of LM.C fame) and Kei (baroque).

ニコニコ生 (Nico Nico Nama) is a special sub-site of Nico Nico, which streams a host of live broadcasts each day. Among these broadcasts, there are live performances, “variety hours,” interviews, and plenty of unexpected antics featuring your favorite artists. ViSULOG is a Japanese language authority on visual kei news who regularly publishes substantial, in-depth interviews of artists and who just acquired the easy-to-remember domain “v-kei.jp.” They occasionally team up with the digital channel, JAPAN VISUAL.TV, for webisodes of ViSULOG TV and others. And if Nico Nico is Japan’s YouTube, then Music On! TV can best be described as Japan’s MTV – back when MTV was still Music Television.

This week on Nico Nico, we’ve got the following:
