Megamasso's Timely Change

megamasso

Megamasso* has had a pretty solid 2014: they started with a fan excursion to Okinawa, then guitarist Ryohei lent his talents to a V-ANIME Collaboration, and this week, they’re dropping a hits album. But perhaps that hits album, itself, foretold of a change rumbling.

Megamasso’s label, Timely Records Co. Ltd., who has represented the band since 2012, has announced that the end of this month will also bring an end to their contract with Megamasso.

Our expeditious translator Adventure Tim translated yesterday’s message regarding the change.

Notice from Timely Records Co. Ltd.

Megamasso Contract Termination

Thank you very much for the profound support you have given Megamasso.
We hereby inform you that our contract with Megamasso, who have been signed with Timely Records Co. Ltd. since July 2012, will expire as of the end of June 2014.

We would like to express again our heartfelt thanks for all the support we received while Megamasso were attached to us, and hope you will continue to cheer on Megamasso in the future.

Directions have also been included for contacting the band here-forth, whether by e-mail or physical mail, as the label previously took care of such matters. The decision should not be affecting their homepage, however, and there’s no reason to believe it will impact any of their upcoming scheduled activities.

As mentioned, the band’s soon-to-be-released hits album, M4U, will cover only the period during which they were under Timely Records, a foreshadowing of this upcoming change.

There has been no word so far about what label Megamasso will be moving to, if any, but this announcement is hot off the presses so there will surely be a follow-up soon. Stay tuned!
