Yoshitaka Amano, the artistic talent behind a slew of famous works such as Vampire Hunter D and Final Fantasy, occasionally exhibits his work during limited events in Tokyo. This summer he will hold such an exhibition once more, but this time he has asked for Hyde’s collaboration to produce the collection.
The collection, “Tenmei to Haitoku ~NIPPON EVOLUTION~,” draws inspiration from Hyde and will revolve around a theme of “breaking away and challenging the structure of a new world”. Amano will display artwork in a number of mediums, focusing primarily on drawings but also featuring figurines and holograms.
As with most of Amano’s exhibitions, “NIPPON EVOLUTION” will run at Laforet Museum (Harajuku) for about a month (August 9th – 31st) so don’t miss it! Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance through eplus. Advance ticket holders will receive an original trading card upon entry. Whether you purchase in advance or at the door, the ticket price remains the same at ￥1800, so it doesn’t hurt to buy early and get that bonus gift!
If you want to see a few samples of the art which will be on display at the event, check out the Exhibition OHP below.
